I've been coming here pretty consistently for the last 6 years. I initially did not like this place that much until a newer lady (never got her name, just knew by face) joined in 2018 and started doing my brows, and I was so amazed by her carefulness and gentleness that I had a hard time being sent to the other ladies working there and would even queue up for as long as 30+ min so she could thread my brows! I even had a hard time going to other threading salons because she was so good. She left a few months ago and every time that I come here now and get a different lady, I'm literally just on the edge of my seat with lots of anxiety that they don't hate me and mess up my brows because I had a strong preference for my threader. They turn out fine most of the time, but I experience redness from the pressure they put on with the thread and constantly working on the same spot. It's a hit-or-miss place and it always hit when my favorite threader worked on me but now it's literally a gamble between hit or miss when I get thrown to the first available lady. Still, can't beat the $5 price for decent threading and they probably don't have any competition for that price point.

I also brought up how I wanted my hair to have more volume and was thinking of getting a perm, but they consulted me about my hair type and the damage to make sure if I really wanted it and I felt like I was in good hands knowing they communicated that to me Afterwards, they also advised me on how I can better take care of my hair and gave me advice on how I can style it to make it more voluminous without damaging it even more. It's my fault but I didn't let my nails dry for more than 10 minutes and the color got smudged. Other than that, my nails were filed nice and round and definitely looked professional. Currently on day 2 and nothing has chipped yet. Colours on my nails usually last 2 weeks so we'll see how long this lasts.

The mani didn't last long and started chipping after 4 days. Also, there were a lot of air bubbles. She kept asking me what the deal is with ClassPass and how I much I was paying for it. I was a little uncomfortable. The second time I came here was for a pedi. I told the lady that I had a CP reservation and she said next time you make a reservation, call first and that she doesn't check her email. I thought it was odd because I didn't have to do it the first time. My pedi was pleasant. The technician was prompt and attentive in getting out all the cuticles and imperfections. My toenails look great. It's definitely a mixed bag for me, I'm not sure if I will be returning though--it's def your basic neighborhood nail salon.

The staff is very nice and friendly; the hair stylist who curled my hair even offered me some tips on hair care while she worked on my...quite honestly, monstrous amount of hair lol Despite the daunting task, she did a great job. :)) Sorry I don't have a better pic (I'm horrible at selfies and quite self conscious)...but seriously, the curls came out quite nice. Lastly, in my opinion, the price for what I requested was pretty reasonable (I was expecting to pay almost twice the price I paid tbh). So this was definitely a plus in my book. After seeing my sister & nieces weave....i missed mine and came back for one as well for my birthday....lol... I decided to try a closure to give my hair a much needed rest and i LOVED it.... im sold and probably will go nowhere else as long as queen of the wink is around the corner lol.... P.S. I have been to some salons where I just cant stand the chat between the stylists...either its in another language or its shouting over your head and just flat out rude....here you feel at home and i often find myself in conversation with the girls that leaves me in tears from laughter....
