I actually had a good experience here after booking a reservation on ClassPass. Note - you should still call in to book a reservation because they don't check their emails. I walked in for my 5:30pm reservation every staff was busy but the lady who greeted me said they're running behind and asked if I could wait. So i did.. since I already paid on ClassPass and finally got assigned a manicurist at 6:00pm. I really liked Carmen's service - I felt she was quite attentive and cut off my cuticles, massaged my hands and did a good job on my nails. It's my fault but I didn't let my nails dry for more than 10 minutes and the color got smudged. Other than that, my nails were filed nice and round and definitely looked professional. Currently on day 2 and nothing has chipped yet. Colours on my nails usually last 2 weeks so we'll see how long this lasts. read more

Came here twice on a ClassPass reservation. The first time was for a mani, which was just alright. The lady wasn't really concerned that there was debris on my painted nails and just painted over it. The mani didn't last long and started chipping after 4 days. Also, there were a lot of air bubbles. She kept asking me what the deal is with ClassPass and how I much I was paying for it. I was a little uncomfortable. The second time I came here was for a pedi. I told the lady that I had a CP reservation and she said next time you make a reservation, call first and that she doesn't check her email. I thought it was odd because I didn't have to do it the first time. My pedi was pleasant. The technician was prompt and attentive in getting out all the cuticles and imperfections. The lady that did my manicure didn't listen to me at all on my color choice, my nails broke yesterday and I had to ask like 3 times for her to even them out. Right after I started to get a pedicure there was a long wait. I also didn't have an appointment. Lots of people also calling in to make an appointment. I really like my technician, but I neglected to get her name. She was really nice and did a great job with my nails. The $8 was a bit steep, considering I've paid $5 in other Rego Park/Forest Hills salons, but my nail tech did an impeccable job. It takes a lot for me to give a bad review- I am not one to sabotage a local business which is why I contemplated posting for several weeks. However, going to get my nails done is something that I really look forward to and it's my hour to relax in the midst of a crazy day. That being said, this was the worst experience I have ever had for the following reasons: 1. The owner, Lana, did my SNS powered manicure. She was on the phone with a friend the ENTIRE time she did my nails and even worse eyebrows (literally spitting on my face). Since she was preoccupied, she carelessly made the following mistakes. 2. She cut my cuticle so badly that I bled. I was waiting for some antiseptic let alone an apology and received neither. 3. When she was putting the final coat over the powder she painted small hair on my nail. She said "ok finished" and I asked if she was going to fix it. She said "is It really bothering you?" Where do I begin? I just moved to this area and I was a bit apprehensive about finding a new salon... after searching on yelp for quite some time, I stumbled upon Pretty Woman Nails. This was an amazing experience. I have never been so pleased with my nails. They look better than ever before. Lana is an exceptional nail artist. She was the so kind and sweet; the rest of the team was also incredibly kind. Lana not only did an amazing job on my nails, but she helped give me ideas on them and taught me a bit about a better way to get them done to keep my nails healthier: gel acrylic. The salon was very clean and cozy. The prices were incredible, especially considering how amazing the work they do is. An acrylic fill was only $21. What a steal! As someone who is new to the neighborhood it is very comforting to walk into a salon where most of the customers are clearly regulars, but the manicurists welcome you and do not treat you like an outsider. Each time I've come here I've worked with 3 different women and each experience has been great. The first was for an eyebrow threading, the second time I came back with my partner and we both got pedicures (the owner was super apologetic for making us wait although we were walk-ins so a wait is to be expected). My 3rd time I got a pedicure and gel manicure. I could not be happier. Each manicurist took their time (even when it was close to closing time) and paid great attention to detail. Came here as a walk-in client for a gel mani, regular pedi on 8/20/20 (date important because of gels). The pedicure was JUST ok. It did the job, but there was no massage, the woman was very rough and actually cut me when cutting cuticles and overall was not that great. The gel mani looked okay, but less than a week later was already chipping and peeling. I had a feeling given their UV lamps are falling apart and polish looks old, but they had decent reviews and looked okay when finished so I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. Overall, the experience there was "meh" at best. The salon is clean, they have dividers up between stations, the techs wear masks - but the service was not good and I'm quite annoyed that I paid for a gel manicure that is supposed to last a few weeks only to chip 5 days later. I have been coming here for quite some time and decided a review was warranted. The shop is located very close to where I live so I must use the old expression, "location,location, location", not to say I would not come here anyway, but it does help in the middle of the winter and I need a pedicure. Yaffa tends to be my go to manicurist. She does a wonderful job on my nails. For some reason the polish tends last longer when she does them. I do love when she does my pedicure. My feet are extremely sensitive,I am very ticklish so she shows me mercy. The nails tend to in grow somewhat and she takes great care with that. Wearing glasses makes it difficult to shape my eyebrows and she does a bang up job. Lana does this for me too and she is very good with this too. Upon rare occasion and finances allow I will do a facial. I love the pampered experience and wish I could do it more often. Lana does this for me and I am satisfied with the experience. BEWARE!!! This place is a horror and a disaster. There are no hygienic practices. The women in charge, "Esther" is rude and makes disgusting and vulgar comments in Russian, every other word out of her mouth is some type of derogatory term or a curse word. I endured the pedicure that was awful and actually painful at times. I left bleeding and none of my nails where filed to a matching shape. The polish was not even, it was smudged and all over my cuticles and nail beds. I attempted to get a full set manicure, I did not make it through the process. "Carmen" did not prep my nails at all. I mean she did nothing to them. I sat down and she grabbed my hands and started to glue tips onto my fingers. The tips where not sized accordingly, most where two sizes too small with the exception of my thumbs which were two sizes too big because of their lack of Amazon inventory. Next they were not glued on completely, like the entire tip did not adhere to my nail. In addition, she glued them on at an angle, only a couple of nails where straight. I asked if there was anyone else available to help me. I was rudely told that "Carmen" would fix it at the end somehow. I was not willing to continue on in this experiment and asked to pay my bill and leave. Aside from the new chairs there was nothing good. All tools are left out and not disinfected as I learned after my pedicure. I only learned this due to the staff thinking I was American and did not understand them speaking Russian. Apparently it's too much money and time to disinfect properly, water and acetone are enough for their standards. While I know that Covid has been difficult for businesses and I support small local businesses, I cannot in good faith support and recommend this one. I was completely appalled and shocked by their practices. Please take this review seriously and consider going somewhere else to spare yourself this frustration and possible exposure to germs, bacteria and fungus. read more

I just moved to the neighborhood and trying to look for a good nail salon. I read the bad reviews but still decided to try it. Because I live near by. She told me if she knew my nails were so long she wouldn't take me for a fill in because she had a client scheduled half hr after my apointment. But she never asked over the phone if they were long or short so it wasn't my fault. So someone else had to finish my nails. After they sanded down my nails for the fill in other salons put glue to make sure it doesn't dis attach. This salon didn't do that. they do a VERY THIN FILL IN Causing them to DISATTACH and not last long. 40$ down the drain and they don't even have a variety of colors to select. I wanted a nice light goldish brown instead I got a purple shade. Very disappointed ! read more

Why am I giving them 5 stars? Because you can't beat what they do for the prices they charge. A lot of these reviews complain about how the employees are and speak Russian. OK...so what? Everyone speaks English well enough so you can communicate that you want your toe nails cut and your calluses scraped. Sorry that you can't stimulate your mind with a discussion on theoretical physics while you are getting your nails lacquered. They do a quick and great waxing job, and I have gotten literally everything waxed here at some point over the last three years. And $25 for a Brazilian that doesn't suck? Yes please! The pedis here are quite good as well. Do you get a long massage and warm hot towels? No, but in 20 minutes or less, you are done with perfect toes and smooth soles. No one here has EVER been rude to me and I am a Japanese/Irish mutt whose only knowledge of Russian is "da" and "nyet". And of course, it's best to have a hair stylist who has similar taste to the customer's preferences. What I do notice about her is that the price for haircuts tend to fluctuate. I got acrylic nails for the first time and the woman doing my nails made sure that each nail was properly adhered and that I was very comfortable. I knew this when I had to choose the color. All the colors were dry and were separated. After my nails were painted I looked down and there were clearly gaps in the color and the edges were jagged. They had to redo it and I now have six layers of paint on my nails. The staff wasn't attentive as I had to flag someone down in order to pay and leave. I was a bit spectacle to come here after reading reviews but since I am new to the area I figured let's give it a try. My experience was wonderful, there was no wait, and Bella did a magnificent job. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was for pricing. I'm naturally from Long Island and pay $20 for a gel manicure back at home. I have no issues paying more money however the website and the pamphlets in the salon have the wrong pricing. I was charged for a Shellac gel manicure (when I just wanted plain gel) And there is also a soaking fee? I've never heard of such a thing. Needless to say my experience was still great. I was recommended to this location by a friend and I have to say it has surpassed my expectations with their excellent service, their cleanliness and their products. I get the chromo nail service which for me personally lasts 3 weeks and by the 4th week I go back to redo them. WORST SERVICE EVER! wish I could write it in larger fonts. The staff is self involved and do not really care about their customers unless they speak Russian or look like they are from high ended estate houses. I waited for an hour to be taken care of and finally when I was seated on the chair, no one came to my service for almost about 20 minutes. I had to call out in desperation for someone to get my attention but again there was no response. Finally five minutes later a korean lady came and started the whirlpool tap. And my whirlpool kept on going for 12-15 minutes which is too much. FINALLY I was attended to by arrogant looking lady without any greetings or apology. My mani-pedi was done half halfheartedly and she poked me accidentally in the cuticles for which she was hardly sorry.
