(decided to contact Ray at Catch a critter because we'd used him in 1999 for bees and wasps that suddenly found their way into the house (and I'm allergic). he took care of that in one weekend) Ray is phenomenal. he asked if I had any photos of the current issue in the basement. after texting them to him he called and explained the how's and whys of termites. I learned so much from him. he's extremely patient and really likes to explain things which I appreciate. We set up an appointment for him to come see the house. He gave his assessment and then he found where they were coming from in the basement. the mud tube was behind a small door thats not used often. he explained how baiting works when using bait stations and why it's better to do it that way. it's also better for the environment because it's targeting the termites, it's not harming the soil or other unintended innocent wildlife. this appealed to me because I care about the environment. he installed the baits late April. he says it could take months- or longer before a "hit" is made. one month later, a bait station was hit. Ray came out 2 weeks later to inspect it (and give the termites plenty of time to keep eating the bait and bringing it back to the nest so that it can kill the other termites and hopefully the king and queen.) he opened it- lots was eaten- and he put new bait in. 3 months later- another station was hit- waited 2 weeks- Ray came and saw that 3/4 of the bait was eaten. he put new bait in that station and inspected the others. Ray knows what he's doing. it truly is a game of patience and strategy as well as knowing your craft. we are extremely happy with Ray and Catch a Critter. he's very knowledgeable and explains things without rushing. he's very neat and personable. very happy to be using his services. thanks, Ray! will always recommend you to people I know that need your services. Ray's price for the work is very good. totally worth it. we have a yearly plan with Ray because we want to protect our home and he's the best in the business to do that.
