When I mentioned I wanted to take photos on the National Mall, she let me know I needed to apply for and receive a permit from the National Park Service (we called it our donation fee to keep from getting bitter with NPS). It took longer than expected to get from one end of DC to another due to an unexpected road closure (dignitary motorcade), so we were running about an hour late. I was so grateful Erin was willing to wait for our arrival on a day that is best described as "unseasonably cold". Erin kept the initial portion of the photo shoot moving as she knew those under 7 years old and over 70 years old were expiring fast in the cold weather. She even was able to coax a smile out of Alexandra (my niece) who at 7 months old believes in "stranger danger." My favorite part of the photo shoot was the time my husband and I got to spend "just us" with Erin as it felt fun (and we got to kiss a lot). The photos turned out amazingly beautiful and I loved her creative shots! Erin knew just where to take us on an overcast day! Erin even had a blueberry pie on hand for Pi Day. Walgreen's #2 "I can send the electronic copy in 24-48 hours but I can't guarantee that you'll get it." And UPS "We don't do that here" even though the website says it does. Mr. Muñoz took the picture. Gave me a hard copy and had me wait until the email was in my inbox - all within about 15 minutes. The family has been in the photo business for four generations! Genny provided the best possible experience for my maternity and newborn photo shoot…read more I had a difficult high risk pregnancy and spent most of my time in the hospital. Genny was willing to do my maternity shoot in the hospital if needed. Luckily I was discharged and able to go to her wonderful studio. Genny has many beautiful outfits and the make up artist did a great job. Genny was patient and accommodating to me since I had to sit every 5 minutes or so. I also had a PICC line (medical IV port) that we hid in the outfits or by positioning me. For the newborn shoot, Genny and her assistant fed and changed my preemie boy and kept him calm. He slept through the entire thing. The photos and album came out better than I could have imagined. I couldn't imagine a better experience.
