It's da govament, they don't give no $hits about you internets uzerz, lolcatz. Okay. So check it: my beloved Three-One-Six is not to be confused with it's daily local runner the 16. It follows nearly the same route up north, but once it gets down to 65th, it parts ways with the 16 and heads up to the freeway at the park and ride. This is only semi-convenient as at this point, the bus is standing room only, and it is getting to be pretty damn tight. 99% of the time - and I've ridden this ride for a year and a half - this route is filled with sleepy commuters running their baggy eyes into the heart of the beast like the rest of us. Selling our souls for another five minutes of lust fulfilled. But I digress. Occasionally the 316 will have a talker who had a little too much coffee, but this is rare. Especially on the earlier runs. Catch the last run and you get the late-comers, the typical snots who still haven't been able to give up their damned $tarsucks. Hello! - ever hear of a French press? It's the only way to truly savor the rich abundance of body and texture held locked away like secret jewels in a cave inside those toasty beans. Pigs. But again, I have found myself astray on a tangent. I should not be doing this at 11:30pm. I should be unconscious. Anyway, ride the 316, and if you do, say hi to the dog who usually sits in the back.

Very little is offered by way of seating, covered space under which to hide from the elements (sides are all open so any light wind will bring the elements to you), and streets must be crossed in order to get anywhere off of TC Island, unless, of course, you plan to just hop on to another bus. Close-ish, proximity-wise, to Northgate Mall, but still a bit of a walk (maybe 5-10 minutes depending on your speed, traffic and the weather) to the mall entrances. Get ready, too, for some stairs!

Though there are a few that head further north. Route 41 is great because it has nonstop service to and from downtown making for a faster commute. There are also a few buses that go to nearby neighborhoods like Ballard, Green Lake, Wallingford and the U-District. Though you are better off taking a different route to those places if you are travelling from downtown rather than getting to Northgate and changing buses. The transit center is just okay. It seems clean enough, though not pristine. Though I don't know how I would feel waiting here at night. If you live on the north end, this should be your spot in commuting to and from downtown.

At it's core, Kenmore Park & Ride is just another place where you can park your car before you hop…read moreon the bus. But in reality, it's much more than that and much cooler than any other park & ride. This is most definitely the biggest park & ride that I've ever seen. The shelter for waiting for buses is the largest I know of, and of course it has murals on the walls painted by local children. This place has memories. Running from my car to the bus to try and not miss finals. Running from the bus to my car to try and get to the nearest gas station because I had to pee. Helping a friend learn how to drive. One of the coolest things about this place is that there is a heron family that lives in the very back of the lot. I've actually seen a heron fly into the tree, and it was a spectacular bird! Supposedly there are cameras and you can see live footage of the nest from the nearby police station and the Bothell Public Library.

Great option from Seattle to Crystal…read more Two recommendations: 1. Clarify pick up location in e-mail. There were two addresses for the Downtown Seattle pickup. I was lucky to be at the right one, but I was 2 minutes from walking to the next address when I did not see the bus. 2. We left at 415pm from Crystal. We waited for other passengers. I don't mind waiting, but I thought it was unfair for those who returned to the bus on time. I recommend just changing the departure time to 430pm. Crystal closes at 415pm. Not to mention that we had to sit in traffic for an additional hour in the morning, so that was a total of 75 minutes that I missed on the snow. The bus is still very convenient if you don't have a car and it is only you for the day.

None of the outlets nor USB ports worked, nor did the fan controls overhead. The slight draft through the vent and the broken seal around the windows sufficed. Our bus carried only five passengers, we spaced ourselves apart, and fortunately nobody nuked a big one. Most of the window gaskets squeaked, annoyingly, and one showed a visible gap. I did think, a window could fall out, and thus would not reach Vancouver on schedule. They couldn't even properly adjust the large LED clock, still set on Standard Time and a few minutes late. Litter left and scattered from the previous trip tells me either nobody cleaned the bus in Seattle, where we originated, or they were given so little time or otherwise cleaned it poorly. I wouldn't have known about MTRWestern had Flixbus not contracted them for the codeshare to Vancouver. Nor would i have otherwise chosen them. They ran the worst, dirtiest, and least maintained bus i've ever ridden.
