It may have been a random fluke, however, my first experience was a disaster at best. After riding 2 stops on the 1 Line, we were all instructed to get off at Ranier Beach stop as there was some sort of police activity prohibiting us from riding further and we at this point were asked to cross the street and wait for a shuttle. About 10 min later, a shuttle arrived however not everyone could fit so this shuttle was jam packed with people! We were told that this shuttle would take us to the Columbia City station and from there, the 1 Line would resume. As it was traffic hour when this all happened, shuttle was slow moving, so probably another 20-30 min later, we arrived. A train was waiting for us and after that detour, the ride was smooth all the way to my destination. I made the mistake of getting off one stop before I intended, so that added another 10min to trip, completely my own stupid fault. So a trip from the airport that should have taken a little under an hour took close to 2 hours for me. Was an interesting experience and for $3, I really shouldn't complain. I also saved my company $100 but also wasted 90min on public transit. And time is money. I think this might have just been a little bad luck and a less frequent occurrence, but it definitely made me not want to take this form of transit ever again. They do get one star because when I mapped it out on Google maps, there was clear warning there was a delay and detour. It was just my poor choice to take a chance and see what happens. However, if the opportunity presents itself again and there were no issues with the Link light rail, I might consider this option again.

The station is fine, and…read moreconvenient, yet there are a lot of somewhat questionable loiterers on the premises at nearly all times. And security, imo, is still not up to par on the link light rail system in general. This station is not really handy to anything by foot unless you live in one of the apartment buildings nearby but it is handy by car to many eating and shopping spots, or the dentist or whathaveyou. Of course in the reverse it's handy to everywhere if you set off from here. We use this station sometimes to take trips to downtown Seattle or the u-district.

There's also a fairly large parking garage so you don't have to fight for parking. The down side is that this place is pretty dirty and I regularly feel bad for my shoes. Smells like pee a lot of the time. Definitely watch where you walk! There are definitely some...colourful...characters here, especially at night, but I've never felt like I was in danger so that's always something to enjoy. Overall I'd highly prefer to drive or Uber, but when using transit this station will help you get you where you need to go.

There are quite a bit of unsavory characters at all times. So be careful of your stuff. Nice fountain with sitting area. Local PD does their rounds once in a while to keep the peace. You need a central carpool meet up place. As always, don't leave valuables in your car.

It's an odd way to build a station but here we are in the 2020s. There are only two platforms. One that goes south and one that goes north. After you exit the elevator, look up to see which way to go. Each platform is only maybe 100 yards from each other so it's not like you can choose wrong. Just hope your train isn't arriving if you do go the wrong way. It's a fairly busy station but slowly becoming less busy. With the amount of gentrification happening, youre seeing less and less BIPOCs here. There is a bus station outside of the station that can also take you downtown or towards Chinatown. Outside of the station is a coffee shop called "The Station" which I highly suggest. There's no ride and park area here. So you gotta either know the area to know where to park or maybe hop on at another stop.

I have been using Green Cab for almost 9 months now. I think I can't take it anymore. I have been a…read morecustomer of them on an average of almost twice a week. A couple of them are really good hard working people, but others just spoil everything. The dispatchers usually are very nice. But most of the time, after the cab arrives, the cab drivers insist heavily on "Cash" only. In fact some drivers totally deny giving you a ride if you don't have cash on you. They give reasons like "credit card machine doesn't work", "there is a charge for us if you use credit card" and all bullshit. I have had a situation before where cab came half an hour late at times. "Couldn't find the place" or they will wait for you totally somewhere on the main road and not in your area to pick up in spite of them having GPS. So you have to walk all the way there. Today was the worst. I waived a cab on the road, got in, the cab driver rudely asked me for a flat charge totally overpriced. Since it was overpriced, I told him "no" go by the meter (if it was close to the normal rate, I would have accepted. but this guy was rude and it was 50% overpriced). He said "No, get out of the cab". GET OUT OF THE CAB ? WHO THE F DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ? CAB 587. I asked him for the information sheet which every cab driver is suppose to display to the customer on the back of the front passenger sheet, he said he didn't have it. I told him I want to complain, he is like do what you want, my cab no. is 587. So I am doing what I want, I called up the company to complain and here for the review. Got out, waived again, two other cabs from other companies stopped by. Got in, next company took me without meter, but a normal charge. Not taking Green Cab anymore. P.S. - Some of them drive like crazy !

SoDo Station. South of the Kingdome. I remember the implosion of the Kingdome. It was an iconic…read morestadium and I saw games here but after those ceiling tiles fell I was ok with the demolition. Art commissioned at this station is "Made in USA". What's unique about this location are the murals along E-3 Busway. Doesn't matter how many times I ride the bus or light rail I alway notice something new. You can also catch a glimpse of Starbucks HQ on 1st Ave. The light rail also parallels the SODO bike trail. Not much goes on at this station but if you're on the bus and want to take the light rail into downtown this is a transfer point. Metro and Sound Transit Buses roll through E-3 busway. I'm not going to list the details but here are the numbers: 50, 101, 102, 150, 177, 190, 590, 594, and 595.

It's nice to have an Othello Station because it's near some pretty awesome Vietnamese restaurants,…read morebut other than that, I can't really seem to find any other benefit to the Othello Station other than its location. Along the light rail route the Othello Station is on the path to Angle Lake Station and University Station. I do like that the Othello neighborhood has this station, making it convenient to use for those in the area. However, compared to other stations, this one lacks in features. I primarily noticed that with the smaller stations, such as this Othello one, it does not have an actual indoor space. The station is located in the middle of a busy road, where it's all outdoor. No indoor space...meaning, no bathroom, or an area to park and ride nearby, or talk to employees. It's simply a neighborhood station. To reiterate, location of this station is its draw, serving Othello residents. But there's not much to this station, compared to large ones that have public facilities that you'd find elsewhere.
