The noodles were thinner than usual, though they had a nice texture. The sauce was well balanced and flavorful, exactly what you'd want in a lo mein. The beef was tender, though I wouldn't have minded a bit more of it. The portion size felt fair for lunch, especially at $16. While it may not be the absolute best lo mein value around, I didn't feel the price was unreasonable. There was one woman working the entire front, and she was very friendly and attentive. Our return after a full year, to Rasa Sayang was a great dining experience. My first Yelp of Rasa Sayang stated all of the South East Asian culinary delights. Today is no difference even though the management changed, the kitchen staff maintains the same carefully crafted ingredients for dishes of Malaysian and Indonesian, Thai and Chinese fare. Our tastebuds say the flavor is Malaysian, but the real Indonesian names of appetizers and entrees on the menu finds you savoring the tastes you long for. Lempers and eggrolls, chicken satay (5 sticks to one order), Beef Rendang (still an outstanding beefy classic), Bihun goreng and Nasi Goreng made the grade. I must mention that Vegan friendly Kwetiaw goreng with vegetable soup and ginger salad were also on the table, and for the Thai food aficionado, a heaping plate of Pad Thai noodles was delivered. It gets really busy, so reservations are recommended, especially on weekends! The food came out piping hot and fresh. Phenomenal roti canai, the curry has crab chunks inside which was well appreciated. The char kway teow had great wok flavor. The laksa had a good crab flavor and the fixings were generous. I had the Beef Rendang and my buddy had the Lo Mein with vegetables. Both were good and we enjoyed our meals. Nice to see 97 on the health score too. Clean and nicely appointed inside. This used to be our go to place, but over time the portions have gotten smaller. For example, Beef Rendang used to come with a side of Roti Canai, but not any more. Seems pricey now. New management has taken over. Still good but used to be great. Lots of free parking and close to other stores for shopping. read more

The Beef Rendang was smaller than an appetizer serving; beef was dry and chewy and should be avoided. Because this dish was so small, we added an order of Green Beans with Chicken which tasted sour and the chicken dry and tasteless; another dish to avoid. The menu is mixed of a lot of Asian usual items as well as some interesting new items. As it was our 1st time we decided to go with our usual favorites. Delicious food! Had not tried this restaurant after ownership changed a few years ago. We decided to give it a try (delivery) and we were not disappointed. Ordered Tom Yum Soup, Coconut soup, Basil rolls, and Fried green beans with shrimp. Everything arrived within a short period of time and food was prepared perfectly and at the right temperature. This is one of the best Thai places in Atlanta. We started with thai tea, veggie coconut soup, chicken satay, and veggie roll. Thai tea was amazing but please make sure to ask with less ice else you will feel the mild tea flavor. I should tell you the veggie coconut soup is the best coconut soup in Atlanta. It is creamy and flavorful. Chicken satay is tasted good and well cooked. Veggie spring roll has good stuffing and taste. We then order Beef Rendang, Spicy Thai Basil Fried Rice (chicken), and Chicken Masaman Curry. We loved the Fried rice and Beef Rendang. Infact I will go again to this place just for Beef Rendang and Basil Fried Rice. Please note with Beef Rendang you get white rice but if you ask for additional charges, they can change it to Fried Rice. Make sure you ask for it. Masaman curry was salty but when we complained about it, they fixed the dish for us. This brings me to their service. There are very few servers, but they will never make you feel that way. They are warm and welcoming. They smile and talk to you. They are prompt with their service and they do take your message back to the cooks. The ambience is very good. Under the new owners the quality has gone downhill, and they no longer honor special requests like they used to. I used to always get a side of snow peas with my order. Now they will only do a side of mixed vegetables. We just ordered for the third time under the new owners. The sesame chicken was dried out and chewy. The moo goo gai pan was bland. The only thing good about the food was the egg drop soup. Sad to say, after so many years of good food and service at Rasa, we will not be going there again. read more
