Passing through the area, and found this restaurant. Located in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking and many tables inside, many already occupied. Excellent choice to eat here!! Ken, our server, was outgoing and super attentive. ( The rest of the staff was friendly too). Everything we ate was fantastic. Large menu with both Vietnamese and Thai choices. Our Chicken satay was large: 4 skewers of chicken, each with four pieces of chicken and a delicious peanut sauce. The garnish was good too! Hubby's tom yom soup was delicious, a very large portion and just the right spice level. My order of chow fun noodles with chicken and plenty of vegetables was also very big, full of veggies (baby bok choy, baby, corn, bamboo, etc.) and I good taste the Thai basil in it ( can never have enough!!) I wasn't sure what to expect going in but I was pleasantly surprised! We came in at lunch and ordered a few of their lunch specials. NOT lunch sized portions! I repeat, NOT lunch sized portions! These babies are massive! We barely made a dent in our food and the leftovers fed us for two dinners. We didn't even finish everything then! I love their Summer Rolls with peanut sauce. Their Masaman Curry is delicious. I had eaten it with Beef. Their pad Thai was quite sweet. It was too sweet though. Their lo mein it seems the noodle was overly cooked, the noodle was quite soft. Their appetizers were great. I had their Fried Shrimp roll it was excellent. This is one of the best places for a great bowl of Pho. In addition to some noodle salad bowl I prefer mine with grilled pork and shrimp. Ellen and her staff are amazing people Natalie and Juneau are wonderful ladies and their customer service is always great which is unusual for a Vietnamese restaurant. I decided to try this place on a whim. I enjoy Vietnamese food and unfortunately I don't have many options near me. I ordered the spring rolls and my friend got the shrimp pho. We did a pick up order. I will note that I had to ask specifically for fish sauce for the spring rolls as the menu states that they only give you the peanut sauce. We thought our food was good and would probably come back here. The amount of food you get for the price is also pretty decent. read more

Nice vibe, typically good, fast service with good food. Have eaten here probably 8-10 times. Pho is good, a good variety of proteins. Vermicelli bowl is my go to with grilled pork and grilled shrimp. Carrots, cucumber, bean sprout, Thai basil with a nice fish sauce. There fresh spring rolls are what bring the eating down for me. They have a nice assortment of bubble.tea. Lunch for two and it was delicious. Less expensive in person that buying on line. I had the Bun salad (B1) and it was lovely. Could have used a bit more lettuce and the nuoc cham dressing needs improvement - more lime and hot peppers. Otherwise, an abundance of pork and veg's. Anyway, for our typical Saturday night in-house take-out -- (that's an intentional oxymoron) -- we opted for Saigon Café, a restaurant I pretty much forgot about. Pho in my suburban area pales in comparison to what we get in any number of Asian restaurants on Buford Highway. As such, I had low expectations for Saigon Café -- but the pho was great! Some might complain that the broth is too salty (a complaint I've had with other soups here) but I found it flavorful. Bean sprouts, herbs, noodles, shrimp and sauces were packed separately allowing us to tear off what we wanted as we slurped. Note that for take-out there's only one size: enough for a meal by itself, or ample to share as a starter. Goi Cuon -- Vietnamese summer rolls -- are a waste. Shrimp and lettuce. No sprouts, no cilantro, no rice noodles. Just lettuce. Don't bother. I was expecting to order a Vietnamese entrée, but I left it up to T who chose Mongolian Beef. That's not Vietnamese, but no complaints ... it was better than what we get at most local Chinese restaurants. There was only one person dining inside, though I assume they attempt to space out tables when there are multiple guests. The staff was Covid compliant, wearing masks -- something I ALWAYS look for. This happens to be a local chain, but it's worth a look if you're in the area, particularly if everyone has a hankering for something different: Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and I think even Malaysian is on the menu. read more

This little family run, local business was one of my favorite places to go for pho; however, I have not eaten inside a restaurant since March - and won't be doing so anytime soon. I was dropping off a box at the UPS store in this plaza and could not resist the opportunity to take home some pho. The "make your own" is my favorite with rare steak and with brisket. The lady at the counter told me that they would put in all of the goodies, including brown sauce and hot sauce. I am on crutches, so it was a little awkward to carry the bag, but she asked me if she could carry the bag for me. Thank you for this kindness! I did manage OK and got home to get into the pho. I was surprised that it was deconstructed, but then this way to serve it makes so much sense. The broth was piping hot, so I put in the rare (raw, thinly sliced) steak and the brisket, letting them sit for just a moment before adding the noodles (I get half noodles), the bean sprouts, onion slices, scallion slices, and jalapeno. I let that percolate for maybe four minutes, then scooped out half for my lunch, adding the parsley, basil, and lime. WOW!!! I am so spoiled now, knowing that I can pick up a deconstructed pho and prepare it fresh at home. I highly recommend stopping by Saigon Café for your Asian dining. They have a full menu with pictures, and the food is incredibly fresh. read more

I visited Saigon Cafe April 22, 2018 with a friend of mine. She suggested we eat her because she loves their Pho, and since I had never had Pho before, I decided to give it a try. We went in at probably around 7:30, and even for a Sunday night it wasn't too busy. We were seated immediately and the waitress also came over quickly to take our drink orders. My friend loves the Bubble Tea, I haven't tried it, but she said she orders it every time she visits. Since I had never tried Pho before, she recommended I get the Pho Ga, which consist of noodles and chicken in broth with white and green onions. They also bring out a plate of jalapeños, basil, parsley, and bean sprouts to add your Pho if you'd like. I ordered the small portion ($7.99) which was still significantly bigger than I was expecting it to be. I probably only ate about half of the entire bowl. The portions are great for their price, and the service was wonderful as well. The waitress was very attentive and happily answered any questions I had. Another plus was that my water glass was never empty, and I drink a lot of water, so she probably refilled it at least 3 times. I also added some of the hot sauce they had sitting at the table to my food and in my opinion that made it even better. The Pho I had was essentially like a fancy version of chicken noodle soup which is definitely a great dish to have if you're new to Pho. After we finished eating my friend asked for a to-go cup. When the waitress brought the cup out she assisted my friend in pouring the Pho into the cup and also gave her a mini to-go cup for the hot sauce as well. Overall I rate it 4 stars because the food was good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice as well. Sooooooo how exactly have I never been here? I have dined at all of the other restaurants in the strip mall except for this one. I happened to be going to Crave for wings and greedy me saw Saigon. I checked Yelp and the star situation had me committing to come back. So glad I did! I've been 5 times for Pho (take out only) and have never been disappointed. I have tried beef, chicken, shrimp and mixed seafood and my fave is the shrimp. They always get my order right and pack it well for the trek home. Omg I have completely fell in love with this place off my first time here. Arrived here yesterday with one of my friends after many people recommended this restaurant to me. Plus I've been wanting to try Vietnamese food for a good while now so I was pretty excited when I arrived. When we arrived we were immediately greeted politely and seated. I already knew what I wanted when I arrived because I had been looking at the menu and the pictures on yelp for the past couple of days. I ordered the egg rolls and the pho dac biet noodle soup. The egg rolls were more like spring rolls but nevertheless they were amazing. So fresh, and crispy and the sauce that came with it added a lot of extra flavor. I devoured them just in time for my soup to come out. I ordered the medium bowl and the portions just off that was amazing I'm glad I listened to the server when she told me a medium would definitely fill me up. The noodles were nice and tender not hard or undercooked at all. The meat was so juicy and broth held in a lot of the flavor perfectly. I couldn't even finish all of it because it was so much food. The prices are really reasonable for the amount of food you get. Will be returning regularly. If you're in the are please give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

I was pretty excited about this place when I saw the reviews. Overall I found what I ordered to be light and I enjoyed the spices. The things I ordered were designated as Spicy. I like things hot. On a scale of 1 to 10 things were probably a 2. My grandma would have found them mild. The seafood in my soup was overcooked. Overall food was not great but not terrible.
