Opening day was 5/15! We had our first shaved ice of the season yesterday and it was so tasty (plus it's less than 5 minutes from home, so I can say without a doubt we'll be regulars). There are 35+ flavors ranging from traditional staples like blue raspberry, sour flavors that remind you of warheads of your childhood, and fun flavors like wedding cake and mai-tai. The prices are extremely reasonable and multiple sizes are available -- plus you can get whipped cream as a topper which is just a fun touch. I had a mix of cherry-limeade & blue raspberry, he had the sour grape & sour apple. The ice was a perfect consistency and the flavor syrup was evenly distributed (I think we've all had a snow-cone our spoon couldn't even cut through and you will *not* experience this here). Staff was friendly and service was quick. Parking is ample around the building. Limited outdoor seating available -- most people enjoy in their car or "tailgating-style". I haven't had an egg waffle in a while since I don't know of any other place in Bloomington that makes them and I love pumpkin spice, so I was very excited about this waffle, and it did not let me down. The pumpkin spice flavour was nice, the waffle was fluffy and cooked right. They lightly drizzled it with a caramel sauce but the waffle itself wasn't too sweet so it balanced out. I liked the taro meets ube, which was taro milk tea with ube paste. The taro and ube flavours were similar but enhanced each other. I didn't see if I could adjust the sweetness level, but the default wasn't overly sweet. I was able to get this drink with soy milk instead of regular milk, although the barista let me know that the ube paste contains milk that can't be removed. The barista and lady cooking in the back both seemed very friendly. My drink was ready quickly. It took a while, maybe 15 minutes to get my waffle, but they apologized for the wait. There's a 4% charge on card purchases. Bring cash to save a little.

If you choose a flavor that adds "creme" topping, it's an additional $0.50. I went with a Medium Apple Pie A La Mode which is made from 1/2 apple flavor, 1/2 vanilla, and the creme. ($3.50) The cup had more ice piled on top than was inside the cup! I knew I had to eat it fast to avoid having it fall off. The flavor was really good and not diluted by the ice. For those that are indecisive, there are a few predetermined combinations to choose from. In addition to the flavored syrups, you can add ice cream to your snowball. Finally, there is a gum ball that is thrown on top (although after being in the ice, it is pretty hard). The primary location is a trailer that is set up in the A-1 Bail Bonds parking lot off of US 31, but you can often find find Lickity Slick at various local events. This is a place that you don't want to miss, especially if you are going to the Canary Creek Drive-In just down the street.
