All programs no matter where you go seem expensive on paper but they aren't. I received $19.5k for…read morea transfer scholarship and then took out $700 deferred loan to look desperate which upped my IMAP grant to $9k. I then recouped the $700 each year by qualifying for a low income tax credit which negated my deferred loan. I just paid the $2,100 from my federal tax returns when I graduated. I received another $1,000 from Phi Theta Kappa and began working in my field by my junior year. I think I paid $6k for my degree. As a graduate student at St. Francis I started in the certificate program to take advantage of the lower tuition and received a discount because my company partners with the University. You have 7 years to complete the program. Most employers offer around $5k per calendar year which is about a class per semester and IS considered FULL time. If you drag it out long enough your employer pays for your degree. Essentially making grad school free. As for the program, at St. Francis I'm a person. We're taught by our professors rather than teaching assistants and they know you by name. Their doors are always open. They all have PhDs and have 20+ years of experience in their perspective fields or are still working in addition to teaching full-time. You'll complete typical homework assignments, papers, quizzes, tests, and discussion boards in which both the students and professors participate. In addition to getting a degree you actually learn something here that can be applied to your career and they take academic dishonesty seriously. I'm really glad I stumbled upon St. Francis. It's been nothing short of amazing.

They took me from start to finish with care and complete professionalism. 160 truly cares about you as an individual, and goes above and beyond to help strengthen your individual weaknesses. I had been at another driving school, but to them I was just cattle!! After 2 months the instructor never even knew my name. As a professional courtesy I won't mention their name, but what a waist of my over $2,100 hard earned dollars. I would very highly recommend 160 Truck Driving Academy to anyone who wants to learn from a school that cares about your skills and safety. And a Very Special Thank You to: Kim, Dave, Duck, Mr. Wally, Carl and Tim. I look forward to seeing you all again, with my new truck.

While taking the tour I decided to take the structural welding course-6 months. I couldn't have been more pleased. The instructor Mr.Shaker was very helpful, patient and up front. The atmosphere is laid back just you and a booth with some welding machines and your instructor plus classroom. They do not offer night classes and the class in the day time runs from 8a.m. until 3 p.m. . I did so well that the placement dept. told me they could find me a better gig, so ditched the one I had originally went there for. Plus points for letting me do the pipe welding course for free because I finished earlier than expected. The courses can be little expensive but, if you're going for a decent gig in the welding field it is well worth it.

(4 p.m.- 10 p.m.) Jake, Dennis and Jeff are very skilled at all methods of welding and can demonstrate effectively how to produce quality welds. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to become a welding professional.
