    Raso menu

First time at Raso's. It's in a old industrial area of Medford. Parking is tight but you can park across the street at a strip mall. The food was a three out of five. The food is not high quality but just okay . Food is not served hot. The inside is very old and needs updating. If you are looking for some average comfort food I would go there. It's not my type of restaurant but for a local down and dirty average meal some people might like it

    Sicilian Style Florentine Pizza

We were in Salem earlier and got talking to come locals who told us we had to check out Raso's since we were staying in Medfort and because of that we made sure to come by. They also told us we had to get the Florentine Pizza Sicilian style we came in with a game plan. We arrived at around 7:30PM on a Sunday and had no problem getting a table. Our waiter was very friendly and helped us out with the menu. I will say they also had a huge cocktail/martini menu and I went with a Dirty Martini with vodka and they had Blue Cheese Stuffed Olives which really makes the martini for me. We of course had to get that Florentine Pizza Sicilian style for a appetizer. Now I'm normally not a fan of Florentine Pizza you know because of the spinach but I really enjoyed this pizza. The white sauce was great and the pizza was cooked perfectly. They had a lot of options for entrees too that sounded amazing but I ended up being basic and went for on of my normal orders, Gnocchi in a Vodka Sauce or as they call it Gnocc Me Out and added a the Chicken Cutlet. The Chicken Cutlet is breaded chicken similar to what you get with chicken parm. The gnocchi was very good and the sauce was very rich too. Would for sure get the again. I'm also really glad I got the chicken cutlet. It was cooked perfectly and had a nice breading. I will say after starting with a Sicilian Florentine Pizza there was never a chance that I was going to finish my entrée but I did my best and did finish it the next day. My Dolphins were playing Sunday Night Football so I went to the bar to watch. The staff was so friendly. I also chatted with some regulars there too who were great. Honestly we had such an amazing time here that's a big reason for the 5 stars too. I hate to say it but when we were hear we were treated like family. Gotta check Raso's out!

Drinks are amazing here. The martinis are delicious. So many different types to choose from! A bit small in here. I normally do a a reservation before to ensure I have a table. Ambiance is very nice and fun to hang out in. Definitely recommend for the drinks!

Came here twice already and the food was consistent. Chicken wings have options of different sauces. Sweet potatoe fries are hot and yummy! When you walk in you see a bar area and the dining area is in the back. Service is friendly and waitstaff Provides water and bread upon seating. Cocktail menu is fun! The pear martini was delicious.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Where do I begin with Raso's? I'll start with the vibe. Any Soprano's fans in here? You walk in and literally feel like you're in Vesuvio. I absolutely loved it. It reminded me of sunday dinners with my step mom's huge Italian family. There is a dining area in the back along with a bar/lounge dining area up front. I'm a huge fan of the bar/lounge seating because of the nice big windows! We sat at the table in the corner which was comfortable and inviting. Next, the service. It was truly excellent. The blonde girl who was working at the bar, and the young gentleman who was serving in that area were some of the kindest and most pleasant people. They really, truly made our experience better. The drinks are priced so fairly that it makes you want to drink more! A titos and cranberry for 6 bucks? Huge glass of wine for 7? Sign me up. We started with the bread and olive oil (which by the way, tasted so unbelievably authentic), and an Antipasto salad. The salad was OUTSTANDING and had so many delicious components. For dinner, I had the steak tips and turkey tips with green beans and broccoli rabe. Everything was cooked to utter perfection and the portion was MORE than enough. Overall my visit to Raso's was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to come back soon!

Always an excellent experience at Raso's when it comes to drinks, food, and service. I have yet to not have an exceptional meal there. Whatever they are doing, keep it up

It's only open for brunch on Sundays, which combined with always being seated immediately makes it feel like a hidden gem. The back patio is quiet, shaded, and sheltered from wind. The food shines. Of course the egg scramble and the Benedict's were fantastic, but every piece of every plate feels deliberate and done with intention--nothing is an afterthought. - Their home fries are my all-time favorite--thick, well-seasoned, soft on the inside with some crisp on the outside. - - The English muffin toast has a crunchy golden surface and soft inside. - The whipped cream on the French toast feels luxurious. - Oyster shooters are a fun treat, as a lover of both fried clams and bloody Mary's. - They were kind enough to accommodate us with a half order of their (outstanding) French toast for dessert I'd note there's no espresso drinks on the menu, although I did enjoy the black coffee. I like trying new spots, but if the question is Sunday brunch then Avenue is always my answer.

Butter is collateral (and arterial) damage. -- Snappy Pattys: Thin patties of beef get griddled and placed between slices of bread no thicker than your finger and no wider than a KFC biscuit. You'll taste the condiment configuration of choice (I like the Texan for its zippy bacon-laced melted cheese), but you'll taste butter first and foremost, which can be daunting. The surfaces of the bread don't get much browning and the beef was less beefy and less seasoned than I remember from a few years back. Although these never blow me away, they're a nice little novelty that's always worth a taste. -- Patty Melt: The full size format offers a third of a pound of beef (looked thicker) between larger slices of the same type of bread. Not much outer texture or browning, but the interior was moist. Minimal beef flavor, with butter again on overdrive-- much too much of it-- but this time mitigated by the complementary flavors (according to the menu, roasted chili & bacon sauce, tomato, iceberg, blue cheese & avocado aioli). Still enjoyable, though the lack of browning (on bread and beef) and the veering of the ingredients from traditional (no caramelized onion, no rye) kept it from scratching that patty melt itch. Nice place, and I've enjoyed previous visits. And the fried chicken as well as the namesake mini melts. But the quest for the elusive killer patty melt continues.
