However, and this may be just my opinion but, if you're going to call your food truck "The Fried Egg" perhaps eggs should be a part of the make up of most of you menu items. Given the current menu options I think a better name for this truck would be "The Fried Egg is a $1 add-on option." I mentioned to the young lady taking my order that it surprised me that, given the name of the truck, I would have to pay an up charge for an egg. She relayed my sentiments to the cook, who may have been the manager or owner. Nevertheless, I ordered the Classic Smash Burger and did ask for the fried egg add-on. The food was prepared really quickly and the burger looked perfect. However, the young lady informed me that unfortunately they only had 4 eggs left and that they all fell and broke on the floor before my burger was ready. So she handed me a $1 bill as a refund. Obviously disappointed (and skeptical of the story) I accepted the refund and went on my way. The short of it is that while I was eggstremly disappointed by the lack of eggs, the burger was quite good and the fries were wonderful. I would have given this experience 4 stars, I can overlook the name thing, but not being able to have any eggs from The Fried Egg food truck left me somewhat disappointed.

The burger was savory and delicious. The woman working at the food truck was so kind and they use a buzzer wait system so you can sit and relax knowing you'll be paged when your order is up! And, well, my sons both have the facial fur thing going on, so the name got my attention as well! I stopped by for lunch today with one of my sons. We decided to order the Steak Wrap, the Murphy Chorizo Burrito, and an order of loaded Hash Rounds. Our food was ready in about 5 minutes! We brought it home to eat, but I have to tell you, the tantalizing aroma of all those spices and goodness was enough to make me want to rip open my box right there in the car! This is some of THE BEST food I've had anywhere in a long time! The grilled veggies (peppers & onions) were perfect-not too hard, not too soft (although personally I prefer mine a bit softer, I think the Bearded Chef has it just right, cooked to please almost anyone. The steak in my wrap was tender. Cheese oozed out of everything! My sons burrito was equally tasty with all sorts of flavors combining to make really an ultimate burrito. I haven't had any red meat in awhile and I've been craving some BBQ for some time. I was just a little bit hesitant that if I ate it I would be miserable the rest of day from being so full but that wasn't the case. I went over to their location at a college and their was a small line already there. I really like the artwork on their trailer, it's very bold and colorful and I think it captures "Memphis" perfectly. I ended up ordering the BBQ rib sandwich combo with baked beans and cole slaw and it was a good thing that I got there when I did because the were gonna shut down after my order. I chit-chatted with the lady at the counter as my food was being prepared. She's very friendly and even gave me some tips about what to use on my natural hair. Anyway, I thanked her and the cook and wished them well as I headed back to the office. The sandwich hit the exact spot I needed it to. There was no need to add anything to it as they were very generous with the bbq sauce. The ribs were excellent and seasoned just right. The beans and the slaw were awesome as well, nothing to complain about there. All in all, I'm very satisfied. I saw on their truck that they occasionally have smoked salmon so I'll have to follow them to see when they'll have it. I'd definitely will return.

This was just ok. First off let me say that Al the owner was amazing. He was getting set up when I introduced myself. I complimented him on the awesome design of the truck and he sent me a great photo to use on Yelp. He was personable and friendly. I came back 30 minutes later once they were up and ready and the woman working the truck got me my pulled pork sandwich with fries. She wasn't all that friendly. I don't know why, as I always make a point to be really nice. The pork is decent. It's moist and tender. The flavor profile I prefer is a bit more smoky, this was light in that department. Texture was odd because it was so well shredded that it pretty much dissolved in my mouth. The sauce was decent, but when I think Memphis BBQ, I think vinegar based sauces, and this was a more traditional sweet, tomato based (read KC) one. It's not bad mind you, it was ok. The fries were well cooked: crispy, really well seasoned and darned hot. The seasoning blend they use is a winner. Would I go back? Probably not. I've got a BBQ place prefer up the street from my home.

The fried shrimp was very good and I was surprise how good honestly because most food trucks wings I've had wasn't very fresh, these were the exception.
