I called asking if they sell melting chocolate that doesn't have to be tempered, but high quality. Unlike wilton melts that are synthetic and terrible. I came in and asked if it was "Gazebo Party and Gift" because it was the same address. The girl told me that they had taken over the shop and changed it to a chocolate shop. They had a ton of different gift baskets perfect for Christmas gifts. They had different kinds of melting chocolate, chocolate bars, treats etc. I'm glad I found this place. It was pretty busy. Yes it is pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Much of the operation is supported by volunteers, and their mission is to empower women overcoming employment barriers while investing 100% of their net profits to help children and families facing adversity. I had actually tried their chocolates before at Taste of Kingsport and really enjoyed them. One thing I like is that they use a thinner chocolate shell, so you're not biting through a thick chunk of chocolate like you do with some specialty candies. Instead, the focus is on the flavorful ganache centers. My favorite is probably the coffee flavor. During the tour, they shared the history and mission of the organization, showed us the production area, and explained how the equipment and chocolate-making process work. At the end, we were able to sample four different chocolates from various categories, which was a nice way to wrap up the experience. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming, making it an enjoyable and informative visit.
