Today was our first visit to this beautiful brand spankin' new ballpark, home of the Amarillo Sod…read morePoodles. The team has been having sell out home games and I can see why. This ballpark is wonderful! There are SO MANY food options... we ate before coming to the ballpark so we can't recommend anything in particular. I like how there are food kiosks scattered around so you don't HAVE to go into the crowded concourse. Out in left field there is a neat bar, Bar 352, serving the usual beer as well as mixed drinks. I noticed a lot of table seating areas around the ballpark. For the littles, there is kids play area. The playground was nice but was pretty crowded. I didn't really like how BIG kids would be on it. Climbing where they shouldn't be, etc. there should be an age limit. There were a few inflatables out too but those were $$. As for parking, there were many $5 lots scattered around the stadium. We found some free street parking. The game was delayed about an hour due to all the rain they had last night/today. The field was too soft/wet. This was a slight inconvenience due to having 3 kids 5 and under to keep occupied. We'd love to come back again when in town.

Fun place. Nice to see places like these. As I travel across the US, I look for these type of…read moreplaces to get my pinball fix. I really wish whoever maintains the pinball machines does it more frequently. Location machines are always a challenge to upkeep though and understand the challenges with allocating parts, especially for the older machines. Some machines had bad flippers, unresponsive targets, and overly touchy tilt. That I can understand and deal with. My main gripe is that nearly every machine was setup in a hard lean and out of level. I don't know if this is intentional or out of inexperience with pinball machines. Some of the pinball machine legs weren't touching the floor on some games. Super fun atmosphere though. I can see this being a prime spot for northern Texas pinball tournaments if the owner spends some TLC on them. The bartender was super sweet and social to make sure you feel welcomed. I'd recommend for a fun date night but wouldn't go if you're really into pinball. The arcades on the other hand were kept super clean with no sticky buttons. The pool tables have plenty of room to play without stepping over other groups. Bathrooms were also very clean! All machines and pool tables take US quarters along with top notch coin changers available.

Words of warning to anyone that is a current season ticket holder, or considering to be one. I was…read morelooking over my bank account and noticed a $600 charge from the Sod Poodles. I reached out to my season ticket rep and he started spouting off "fees this and cancellation charges that" at which point I tell him that I have no idea what he is talking about. He proceeds to discuss an old contract that I am no longer under and how they "could have" charged me more but did me a favor and charged me less. When I go to point out that the current contract I am in doesn't state anything about these fees, I am ghosted for a few days. Then I get an email from Jeff Turner, assistant gm, that starts talking more about an old contract and how they are giving me benefits of loyalty by not charging me all the money they "could have" charged me. Regardless of any of that, I point out that in my current contract, the very last line (which is bolded and larger than the standard font) actually says that they WILL NOT charge my bank account any additional fees other than those that are listed on said contract. Well that $600 is no where on that contract. After I sent that email, I have received ZERO response from Mr. Turner, and that was almost 2 weeks ago. I have sent numerous emails asking for follow-up and I even reached out to my rep and all I got back was "Mr. Turner has had a busy week" and that he would "personally go check" with Mr. Turner and make sure I hear something back. Well that still hasn't happened. So only thing I can do now is to keep attempting to contact them, perhaps put in a fraudulant charge claim with my bank and also warn all of you guys too. I guess the way they figured they can start paying off the stadium more is to randomly/secretly charge people unknown fees and then just ignore customers when they call about them. So, like I said, check those bank accounts for any fraudulant charges from the Sod Poodles and make sure to warn you family/friends if they are considering getting season tickets.

Ridiculous! You cannot have access in the gate with a purse or diaper bag. Seriously- emptied my…read morepurse, but since there was no "prescription medication in a bottle" I needed to leave my purse in the car to be broken into & stolen, to go into the game. Left- only game I was attending this year & was a little excited. Won't EVER WASTE MY MNEY ON TICKETS AGAIN!
