Have gone here twice for a no chip manicure with two different manicurists and within 4 days several nails had chunks of chips. I noticed that the time under the light was much shorter than other salons I have been to so thinking the polish wasn't sealed. Additional education on how to apply a gel polish is needed. read more

Somewhere early on, I sat in Madison's chair and have gone to her ever since. Went in for regular pedi and no chip mani. Paid $70. It took almost 2 hours and it's one of the worst mani pedí I've gotten. A lot of polish on my skin. The workers were very nice. I just think the person I had was still learning how to paint nails. read more

Went here today to get my hair cut & dyed. Rachel did an amazing job, by far the best haircut I've ever gotten! The length is perfect, & The color is exactly what I wanted! Much better than overpriced places in Lake Geneva! My friend and I met up in Twin Lakes and made a last minute appointment for manicures before a party. The manicurists were delightful, brought us cappuccino, and did a great job on our nails. The price was reasonable, too. This is a much better choice than the crowded and expensive places in Lake Geneva. Highly recommended! read more

Went to Rau once for curls for a wedding - they fell out within an hour and it didn't even look like I had gotten my hair professionally styled. Gave them another chance and had a bridal updo with Heather who made my hair look white from all of the product she applied. Luckily it didn't show up in my pictures. They also did a crappy job applying fake eyelashes and makeup. They also forgot to give me $20 off for the referral that they advertise. Overall between both visits, I feel like I overpaid for what I got. read more

I should have done this review years ago. But I need to say that everyone at Rau is fantastic. Especially, Heidi, my stylist. Her color work is amazing. She has an instinct for what you want before you even know what you want. My other stylist is Collette, who I see for my lashes. I have incredibly sparse eyelashes and she makes me look beautiful! I went to Rau Salon to get my hair colored and a trim. I told the Stylist that I needed my grey covered. I went in the salon with Chestnut Brown hair and came out with a horrible flat jet black color. To add insult to injury, I was charged $147, which was more expensive than Grand Geneva Resort. My hair is a few inches past my shoulder. I NEVER mentioned anything about changing my hair color. This was the worst experience that I have ever had with hair color in my life! I called the manager and she told me that she could lighten it with a bleach/conditioner mix. Since I was embarrassed to leave my house, I had no choice but to do that, even though I feared it would dry out my hair. This treatment did pull out a lot of the black color, but the end result made the top have an orange tint. Although it was better than the jet black, I still hated my color. The manager offered to try to put more color on it, but said that it could really damage my hair and/or make it too dark again. I did not want to take that risk, so I wrote a letter asking that my color be fixed in 4-6 weeks. The owner and/or manager did not even care enough to respond to my letter. Therefore, I remain a very dissatisfied customer and I would NEVER go back there or recommend this salon to anyone! read more

Rau Salon was recommended to me and though it was a 28 minute trip from my home, I went anyway because I trusted the source. Glad I gave it the chance because it is not only a lovely salon with it's own nail studio and complimentary cappuccinos (among other offerings), but also because the stylist I saw really listened to what I was asking for and delivered on it. Two more game changing features worth mentioning: massaging shampoo chairs and free wifi. I had a shampoo, highlights and a trim with some razor thinning work and I felt rejuvenated! I get massages and I have been to other salons, but this felt like the total package...and all for under $80. I actually paid $20 less than this because I used a referral card from a friend, but even at the original price I still felt I hadn't been extravagant. Good products too! SLS free shampoos and Argan oil treatments. I will go back, absolutely! Stylist Jamie V. was a doll! read more

I took my 4 year old daughter here for her first haircut. April cut my daughter's hair and she was great with her. She did an excellent job on my daughter's hair and I won't trust my daughter's hair to anyone else in the future. Great job! read more
