After discovering a huge pipe leak in my garage late in the evening, a plumber came by in the morning and discovered that the leak was from a corroded fire sprinkler pipe and was unable to fix the pipe, which required a specialized fire sprinkler license to do the repair. After getting a recommendation from a neighbor and seeing all the 5-star a Yelp reviews, we felt confident about giving Raven Fire Protection our business. They had a very economical price compared to other providers and were able to schedule us promptly. Initially, my wife felt Peter was responsive because he was accessible via phone. The two man crew that installed the new fire sprinkler heads seemed quick and efficient. Unfortunately, we noticed a drip coming from one of the sprinkler heads within a few minutes of the crew collecting payment and departing. We called immediately and expressed our concern, but we're told this was likely just excess water that had splashed about during installation. We were told to keep an eye on it and call if there was a problem. Supposedly, it was nothing to worry about. This was Thursday morning, June 10. We returned to our home Saturday afternoon after some errands to find our entryway covered with a large puddle and the very same sprinkler head we had called and expressed concern dripping heavily. I shut off the water to the entire house (the only way to stop he water flow) and we immediately called Peter's one and only number. We got a recording and left a message explaining our situation. No call back for hours. We called again and again and sent SMS messages as the recording suggested. Nothing from Peter and our plans for Saturday night were spoiled. After a few more messages, Peter's voicemail was full. We continued to send texts and SMS messages. Still no response from Peter or any of the crew Sunday. We sent message after message with absolutely zero response. This was our second day without water. No showering. No drinking water. We resorted to bringing buckets of water from other sources to flush our toilets. By Sunday night, we were exasperated. All of our weekend plans were ruined. Not a call or text from Peter or anyone at Raven Fire Protection. Of course, I had to begin work at 7:00 Monday morning. Luckily, I'm not traveling this week. It could have been even more of a disaster. It's now Monday morning. I called around 6:30 AM and Peter's voicemail inbox had been cleared, so I left a message and requested a response and immediate service. No response, and by 8:15 AM, when my wife attempted a second call the voicemail was back to filled. He patiently showed me how to maintain the fire sprinkler system and drain out BLACK & STINKY water sit in pipe for last 20 years. Most home owners may not know they are supposed to drain out black water every couple of years. He tested the fire bell and showed me how to turn bell off if it rings for no reason. Two weeks ago, we had a water main break for our Fire Suppression home sprinkler system. The Pipes were rusted, we did not notice the slow leak. When the pipe broke, we had 110 PSI water all over the garage. We didn't know what to do or who to call. Peter came over within 90 minutes.
