When you go to any other PT office, they typically have aides running the exercises and heat/cryotherapy and you only see the PT for 15 minutes. I know because I was that aide before! Dr. Sofi is literally the best. I started seeing her after a motorcycle wreck. As a former Army Ranger, getting back to training was extremely important to me. Dr. Sofi not only helped me get back to a normal training schedule, she helped me hit new PRs, correct imbalances, and improve my running. My only regret is thinking that you should only go to a PT after an injury. What to expect: after an initial evaluation, Sofi will test things like range of motion to find the root problem. You'll then either get a set of exercises, massage, cupping, that scrape tool thing, or stretches. She'll then re-test you to show you the improvement. Afterwards you'll either get an email with videos or an app that will show you what to do between then and your next visit. Example: I showed Sofi a video of a deadlift. I was stuck at a certain weight. She noticed my shoulder was rolling forward. After massaging, cupping, and stretching, we retried the lift and it moved a lot easier. After a couple weeks of following her advice, I hit a new pr. Do yourself a favor and book a visit already. read more
