After paying off the Rims, I had an accident with pot hole I ran over; Good thing the Rim was fine, but the tire ripped. I asked if I still had warranty. Ends once you finish paying for your Tires/Rims. Anyway, the thing is, this company Rips you off one way another. Since I tore my tire and realized I didn't have my Special Bolt Remover, I went to location to get one. They charged me $70.00 for the piece of crap!!! elsewhere is around $13.00. I will Defenitely Not Recommend this Company. They help by giving you Credit, but you End up paying Tons of Cash than you want to. I'm very upset about the Bolt situation. They Abuse their power to make you pay for things that unexpected situations put you in. Jorge read more

So I called Friday evening to quote some tires. I got a fair-ish price and was told to come in, the tires are available. I was not able to go but I did let the lady know I would be going Saturday morning and she replied with something to the effect of, we will be here. Assuming the tires were available, I arrive in the morning only to be received with some worn out and used tires they tried to shove down my throat for less than $100.00 from the previously quoted price. When I asked about the tires I had been quoted, "miss ballsy manager" cops an attitude and solves absolutely nothing and further argues with me about what the vehicle requires. Her ineptitude drives her to inform me that there is a difference between what I am looking for and what the vehicle comes with. I was crystal clear when I informed her since Friday of what my intent is. I assume she must be quite intimate with someone in the RAW hierarchy to be this useless, inept and obnoxious while still be the tool of a mAnAgEr she is. DISCOUNT TIRE, HERE I COME!!!! read more

Be cautious when doing business with this establishment. I did business with them and they charged me for products that weren't even given to me. They gave me my contract sealed in my envelope and I didn't review it. A couple months later I decided to look at my contract and noticed they charged me a wheel cleaner , tire cleaner, tire shine , and other products that weren't even given to me. They are rude and squeeze every penny out of you every chance they get. Only the technician that works on the vehicle was helpful and nice. The manager should not be in that position. The 1 Star is for the technician. Other than that. 0 stars read more

I'm very upset on how my wife was treated on-the phone by the manager or assistant manager who ever she is, she was rude and very unprofessional. My wife was calling for prices on a certain size of tires and was told that she had to go in and get the prices, with an aggressive voice and wouldn't give prices over the phone. She called back and tried to apologize and my wife just hung up. Because of her this establishment has lost another valued customer, and I wouldn't recommend this place. Good luck. read more

Just wanted to share my experience at Rent A Wheel. I had been needing some tires for a while now but had been putting off. I was driving down S.10th St and noticed a display of tires and wheels in the parking lot of the store and it really got my attention, So I drove around the block to check it out. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by this man who asked me "what brought me in today" I told him I was having issues with my tires, always having to fill them with air. He said "no worries I will check it out for you" I did tell him that I did not purchase those tires there and he said "no worries I'll hook you up" after that he introduced me to Ana and Marcos The "Dream Team" as he put it. After about 10 minutes he told me my tires were severely worn out due to an alignment issue. He told me they had that tires if I wanted them to get installed. Now while they where checking my tires The "Dream team" explained to me how they work at Rent A Wheel and how easy it is to get approved. I was still a little hesitant but the man said take a look at your car in the garage. As I looked through the window into the garage My car was sitting there with some 18 inch wheels and looking good. I asked him how much and he said let's talk to the "Dream Team" and we will hook you up. Let me tell you this by far is the best experience I have ever had in any place of business. These guys and girl at Rent A Wheel in Mcallen made everything so easy and fun. There was not one question they did not answer and I never felt pressured. So do I recommend them? Hell Ya!! Extremely dissatisfied with the service at this McAllen location. We got tires and rims from them that were supposedly new, after waiting more than 4 hours to get them installed and driving home our truck was shaking really bad and we called to let them know. They said it could be that the truck needed balancing and alignment, we went to and got that done at another tire place. The gentleman that serviced the truck said they had put on the wrong hub centric, that until they put the right ones it would continue shaking. My husband notified the manager at the McAllen location and they said they would order them, they never called, we had to call and ask if they were in yet. They said because of the holidays they would take longer, so it's been almost a month and no hub centric in sight. We decided to take our business elsewhere and got new tires and rims, the gentleman that installed them said the tires and rims they installed at the McAllen location were used not new. After getting the new tires the truck completely stopped shaking, we proceeded to return the merchandise to the McAllen location and they still made us make a payment! Would never recommend this place to anyone! read more

I was extremely dissatisfied with the experience at this MCALLEN location, and with the service that Steve and Jesus offered. After choosing the rims that I liked from a catalog, I was told he would place the order and I would receive them in about a week. One week turned into two weeks, and I was the one contacting them for a status, daily. Their excuse was simply that it was the holiday and that is the reason for the delay. I finally had enough of waiting. I contacted the manager, steve, and informed him of how unsatisfied I was. I then contacted corporate office manager and was told that the type of rim they were supposedly ordering for me was NOT made by the company. So in essence, till this day, the corporate manager and I do not know what in the world they were ordering for me. I never received an apology from any individuals except for the corporate manager. I decided to travel to Harlingen location and purchased my rims/tires there. If you decide to do business with this location, get the information of your rims and verify that the size they are ordering is a size the company offers for that rim. i was rip off by rent a tire and wheels in mcallen texas.. they sold me defected rims and after i paid them in full right away i ask them if they can replace the rims cos they were all defected. the mananger was supposed to see if he can fixed the problem and until now no call no reply no nothing... im also wondering who eles has been rip off by rent a tire and wheels from mcallen texas? this people think they can just rip off people and get away with it ...... read more

I removed a…read morestar for the quality of work, another star for how the management handled the entire situation, and the final star for the length of time I was told I'd be without my vehicle compared to the time I was actually without it. Starting from the beginning, I took my car in to have wheels inspected for damage, I had three wheels damaged, and as of now, appear to have been fixed correctly. Upon fixing, existing powder coat couldn't be matched, so I decided to go with another color all together. Upon requesting the color, they showed me pictures of rims they just completed with same color, but two toned(inner lip different color) and asked if it could be done with mine, of which they said yes, and said it would take about 5-7 days. Of which we agreed on the time frame and I left the car. Trying to keep this short, 17 days later I go to pick up my car after being told that my car was ready. There was over spray from the face color all over the inside color of every single wheel, the center caps did not match the face whatsoever, and two of the wheels had install damage. Upon showing the rep, he took pictures to show management, so the car hadn't been quality checked by the rep or management, mind you, it's close to a 2000$ ticket for the paint and repairs. I was told they'd need til the end of the day to get it ready. Of which I said fine. Finally speaking with management on the phone later that day, he told me they wouldn't be able to get the overspray and damage to where I'd have a "100%" job, and the center caps wouldn't be matched "100%" to the rest of the wheel. Pretty much hopeless at this point, I wanted my car back after inconveniencing half my family for over two weeks. I agreed to what they could fix and the discount only if I was happy with over spray removal and touch up. Ended up with a 10% off powder coat labor only(4.9% or 70$) for the quality issue, not mentioning damage nor the fact it took 18 days to deliver a project that wouldn't be (100%) which the manager said himself several times. Photos will show quality and damage along with receipt to show discount. I was also told 40$ wheel check would be taken off, it wasn't. Overall, if you get a single color, and take the rims to them, and pick them up, doing most of the leg work yourself, you'd end up with a way better end result.

I only got as far as getting a quote for a minor repair, to fix a couple of scratches that appeared…read moreafter a visit to Walmart. I found PDM online and saw that have mostly positive reviews. Some people have had good experiences with them. Based on the packed parking lot their business is booming, which is usually a good sign. PDM offers a free quote online by submitting information, pictures and a video of the damage. But I was in the area and decided to stop by just to see if someone could give me a ballpark figure of cost and repair time to have an idea of how to prepare and schedule a repair. The young lady at the reception area was cute, but could not tell me anything helpful except that an in person estimate would cost me $50. So I thanked her for that and opted to go with the online estimate. From the website you request the online estimate tool and it sends a link to your phone. Use the link to access the online estimate app. The app does not download to your phone; you just access it from your phone as it will guide you in taking pictures and video they need. A picture is worth a thousand words. Have your car make, model, year, and VIN number handy as that helps them to identify specific paint colors and other necessary information. I found a couple other competitors that also offer online estimates and got quotes from all of them. All of the businesses which provided me quotes have excellent reviews and look professional as far as I can tell. PDM's estimate was $1,300.00, over twice the cost of any of the others (who all came below $600). Most of the cost is labor. I understand some difference in price, but that is ridiculous. It's like choosing between two great quality name brand products, and the only difference is one has a designer couture name, so it sells for 220% more. So suffice it to say I will choose another option. If your insurance is going to pay repairs, perhaps it may be an option for you (depending on your deductible), but it was not for me. It pays to shop around.

I brought the vehicle by and a gentleman named Mark took detailed pictures and said he would be sending me an updated estimate by the end of the day. Did not get estimate. One week later I reached out again asking for my estimate and I was told I'd have it by the end of the day. Did not get estimate. Based on other reviews I've read..this company charges almost double the other repair companies in the area are charging. It seems to me this company would rather do insurance claims. Taking my business elsewhere.

I took my car to get looked at. They charged me $480. What I was told and what the receipt says they charged for two injectors and one spark plug but when I paid the guy that they replace one set of spark plugs, and replaced two injectors. So now fast-forward, my car is having the same issue and somebody else now looks at it and guess what they didn't replace anything that all the spark plugs were old. They all looked rusted. So the mechanic replaces all the spark plugs and all the coil boots. My car is running so good now better than when they gave it to me cause when they supposedly fixed it, it still was shaking a little bit now it's quiet as a mouse. So I go to Jessie's to complain about it and ask for a refund but now they tell me why didn't I the car back to them, Oooh cuz it stopped in Edinburg and how was I going to get it to them. So now he goes on to explain that the work done was electrical & they replaced some wires none of that was told to me when I initially took my car in and none of that reflects on the receipt. So the guy is trying to explain it to me so of course I called the mechanic that just finished working on my car on speakerphone cause I wanted to hear the explanation. So what does the guy do? He walks away with my phone so I can't hear the conversation which is kind of shady to begin with! Moral of story. Do not take your car to Jesse's. They're just going to rip you off!! So take my $480 lesson ladies DO NOT take your vehicle to Jesse's in San Juan if you do ask for an itemized detailed receipt of what was done and a price breakdown and cross your fingers. If I could leave a zero review I would!!!

I had gotten a good price on tires but man every time I go back for anything but new tires it's a…read morehassle. This last time I went in to just fix a flat since it should be free according to them. They always start by checking all your tires and usually try to sell you new ones right away. Lucky that wasn't the case this time around. Then instead of just helping me out with fixing the flat, they give me a workaround about not doing it because they need to have your tire in stock reason being if they even "inspect" your tire, they won't mount it back unless you buy a new one. This feels like I'm just being robbed. I came in for help and I won't be let out unless I buy a new one. Just go to your local mom and pop shops for issues like this. I might just start buying tires online elsewhere and having those mom and pop shops install them as well as they're usually the ones helping me when I really need them to.

I took my Ford Focus S to get a Carbon Ceramic tint with the minimum legal VLT of 25% for the…read moredriver/passenger front windows and a 5% VLT on the rear doors and back window with a lifetime warranty. The job took a few hours, and I was told to wait 2 weeks before rolling down the windows or touching the tint. I am super pleased with the work. First, it's really dark, and the privacy is greatly improved (see attached pics). Second, the tint I got also have UV and Infrared blocking flilm, so my car is SO much cooler in the summer now. I'm saving fuel efficiency by not running the AC so hard now. The guy who did the tint did an awesome job and was very patient and knowledgeable when answering all my questions. No complaints whatsoever. Note: I had the tint done around the end of 2022. I think something happened to the guy who did my tint because MGA is at the time I write this looking for an employee to do tints. (I'm waiting to do my F-150 with Mad Guys.) All in all, I'm very satisfied. The pricing is good. I paid $275 (including tax) for the work on my focus. I was quoted $285 for the same job on my truck. That's a good deal for the results. I couldnt' recommend them more.

I just wanna thank the guys for helping me out with some tires.. weslaco store didnt want to help mebecuz i walked in their store at 5:20 and said it was almost closing timeso i left and arrived at this mcallen store right at 6:00.. already closed and these guys Peter, Mark, and Ralph were the ones that stayed that saturday till 7:15 helping me out... you see i needed to be at Driscolls Childten Hospital in Corpus cuz my baby was getting surgery next day so i needed those tires to get us there. I will be eternally greatful for their help.. This world needs more Angels like them. Repeat customer, well kept establishment, Ive only had the opportunity to communicate with the Manny, Im not able to comment on the other employees. Service was exellent every time, none of the dissapointments mentioned in the previous reviews. Will continue to bring my business to this location. On that note, I have had sub par customer service from the Harlingen and Weslaco offices, which is why I prefer this one. I once had a bad experience at a previous rent a tire store, so I was skeptical about coming back to the store but I really needed tires for my truck. I went in spoke with Robert the collections specialist and beyond impressive on how helpful he was in talking with me step by step on different types and helping find the right tires for my truck. When I showed up at the location, I had no clue what to expect or what I wanted. The salesman, Jaime, explained the process and we went through a catalog and found the perfect rims for my Mercedes. The rims showed up sooner than expected and they installed them professionally and quickly. The store manager Ana finished my paperwork and I was done. All i knew was I wanted big tires/rims for my truck and they were very knowledgeable and showed me all my options in my price range.Credit is due were deserved so I felt the need to post this review. Called in to get some info and Marcus was very helpful. Walked in a few minutes later happy with some rim selection. The process was fast and easy finished before the tires and rims were installed on my car. Lots of care care assistance alignments and tire care provided. And free tier care.
