This was my first time here. I saw Dr. Ha and he was straight to the point and only provided the services that I needed. It is so hard to find an honest dentist these days, but I'm so glad I found Dr. Anh's office, where I wasn't rushed, informed about the procedures and can trust the service that they provide me is what is necessary and they're not trying to make more money off of me. I've been to many different dentists before and they always try to upsell you on things you don't need or will try to cheat you. But this office is very ethical and honest. The location is a bit tricky to find because it is a house and it's on the main street but hidden because the door is facing off to the side. The indoor is really charming, cozy and it doesn't give off dentist vibes. Office staff is also super helpful and nice. I'm so glad I finally found a dental office to call "home." read more

I've been coming to this office since 1977. First Dr R. Phillip Smith(he opened the practice). Dr Choi bought the practice, both professional and gentle dentists. The Dr Ray Ahn took over the practice. He brought the office into the 21st century. I've had teeth cleaning, an extraction and plans for an implant. Dr . I have been going here for over a decade back when it was Dr. Christine Choi's office. Now that she has retired, I see Dr. Ahn. I usually enjoy my trips here. The staff is friendly and generally it is convenient. Parking can be difficult. The office feels pretty old school, but it is clean. They do have modern cleaning equipment like ultrasonic descalers or whatever (not a dentist). They usually deliver a solid, pain free experience. Everyone there is great. read more

Dr. Ha is the best! I went for a cleaning and couldn't be more happy with my experience. I experienced zero pain and my teeth felt cleaner than any other dentist I've been to. My previous dentist said I had four cavities and when I mentioned that to Dr. Ha, he thoroughly examined my teeth and gave me honest advice that I had no cavities. He is clearly honest and doesn't upcharge. His honesty, professionalism and skill is hard to come by in our healthcare system today and I couldn't be more grateful that I can call him my dentist. 11/10. I was so sad that my regular dentist, Dr. Ikemura, had closed his practice during Covid. He was the best. He called me "kiddo" even though I was in my early 50s. He ran the office all by himself! He scheduled people so that there never was a wait time! I didn't think I would ever find another dentist that I liked as much. I searched for years and only found offices with lots of people bustling about the office and large waiting rooms packed with people. I was so happy to find Dr. Ahn. When I called, I talked to the most pleasant hygienist who happened to answer the phone as the receptionist was out. He was so receptive and answered all of my questions. They even took MediCal! I was able to get an appointment rather quickly as I had some pain from a sharp protrusion in my gum. I thought I might have lodged a popcorn kernel, but it wasn't that. Apparently, 43 years ago when I had my wisdom teeth removed, they didn't take out all the fragments and my gums were pushing them out. How bizarre! Anyway, he said that I could opt for oral surgery or let them work themselves out and I did just that. I am so happy with my new dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Ray Ahn's practice. read more

Absolutely the best dentist I've ever been to. I've had multiple oral surgeries, root canals, extractions, implants and all the fillings before finding Dr Ahn. I have a lot of anxiety with dental work as I'm very sensitive and most often feel pain during procedures. I ended up having a root canal done today, along with an additional filling. I felt absolutely zero pain. I didn't even feel the numbing shot- and I always feel that. Dr Ahn was so kind and understanding and compassionate regarding my anxieties. He let me know what was happening during the process. I felt safe and as comfortable as I could possibly be. The staff is so friendly and just wonderful. The office is very inviting and calm. If you're going to need an all in 4 dental implant procedure don't even think about seeing this quack. Because of his negligence I had to spend an additional $21thou. A minimum of a extra year of wait time. I spent 6 1/2 hours in his chair, have any idea what that's like? Afterwards I went to the bathroom and had blood all over my face, literally all over. He had to take a special kind of Xray and because it wasn't clear he had to stabilize the chair using water jugs! Really? Don't consider this quack for major dental work. A filling might work but don't go past that. read more

Dr. Ahn and his staff are THE BEST! I had several traumatic dental issues as a child (3 oral surgeries + over 20 teeth pulled out and braces before the age of 17), so once I was an adult and my teeth were fixed, I neglected going to the dentist for ten years. Finally in my late twenties, I decided that I should finally be a responsible adult and look for a dentist. Dr. Ahn came highly recommended by a coworker of mine, so I decided to check him out since I had heard great things and he was also conveniently located very close to my office. The dental office is located off of a very wide street and there is PLENTY of street parking. I never have issues finding a place to park. Checking in is super easy, and I am always seated in the dentist chair right away. Also, I recently went during COVID-19 and had my temperature checked + was offered hand sanitizer upon entry, and Dr. Ahn wore the most intense masks/facial coverings I have ever seen -- like Bane from Batman status. I felt incredibly safe having my teeth cleaned during the pandemic! In general, both Dr. Ahn and his assistants are super friendly and very easy to work with. I love that whenever I get a teeth cleaning they are SO FAST. I literally am in and out in less than 30 minutes which is AMAZING, and super helpful because I have a busy work schedule. I also appreciate that they are super flexible with booking my appointments. I always ask for the last slot of the day so I miss as little work as possible and they are always happy to accommodate. They also have helpful reminder cards where they write the date/time of my next appointment so I don't forget, and they always call me the week before my appointment to remind me that it is coming up. I love that although Dr. Ahn is speedy, he is extremely thorough and careful with the cleanings, x-rays, fillings, etc. I really appreciate that after he takes x-rays, he shows them to me on the screen and points out what he is looking for and areas I can improve to maintain healthy teeth. He also recommends products for me to use and even gave me a special toothpaste to use for my sensitive gums. Since Dr. Ahn was the first dentist I saw as an adult, I was a little nervous about going thru my health insurance since I wasn't really familiar with the process. The last time I had gone to a dentist, I was going to a pediatric dentist and my parents had taken care of everything. During my first visit at Dr. Ahn's office, all I had to do was fill out initial information about my insurance + health history, and then it was automatically taken care of every time moving forward! I am always pleasantly surprised that I literally don't have to do anything after each of my appointments other than schedule the next visit out :) Overall, I have had nothing but 5 star experience with Dr. Ahn and have been a patient for over 2 years now. I can't believe I have never posted a review for Dr. Ahn! I've been going to him since 2017, after moving down in 2016. He is so attentive and explains throughly the best options for you and how to go about them. I've always told him that he is so gentle while cleaning my teeth, swift and meticulous! Other dentists feel hard and abrasive cleaning my teeth. At one point by bottom wisdom teeth (only had 2 on the bottom) had fully gown in. He suggested he could take them out with topical anesthesia or if I wanted to fall asleep then it would be an oral surgeon. I waited as I was unsure, but at one point they hurt so bad. I went to have him take them out and it was painless and so quick!!! These past 2 times I've recently gone, one for a cleaning and, one for my very first filling I had the pleasure to have it done by Dr. Katrina who is just as superb! Very gentle, accommodating, and also explains everything all the way through! I forgot to take a before and after picture of my filling but it looks impeccable; I cannot notice a difference! I had multiple fillings and a cracked tooth that I needed to take care of and I needed to find a dentist that accepts medical. Dr. Ahn was so transparent with everything and talked me through all the options while being very clear on what is and isn't covered by insurance. Let me preface this by saying how challenging it is to find great providers who accept Medi-Cal and Denti-Cal, let alone one with availability. I'm so relieved to have found Dr. Ahn! The facility is very obviously kept clean and sanitized. My temperature was taken upon entering, too. Everything was very neat and organized. Dr. Ahn was super patient in explaining everything to me & was very gentle and kind. I was worried about going to the dentist, as I have panic attacks and dont generally enjoy dental exams. His calm demeanor in addition to the jazz music playing and openness of the exam rooms added by the big windows made me very relaxed.
