Patrovy pushes unnecessary treatments and also uses dental codes incorrectly to overcharge you. He doesn't care about your dental health, just the money that he can make. I've been told by multiple dentists that the 3 onlays that he did were not needed, and the work on it was terrible. I had to get them all fixed. Insurance dealt with the codes, and I got $2k back. I haven't seen Dr. Partovy since 2017 but felt it necessary to come back and let anyone and everyone know to avoid his practice at all costs. Partovy was an in network provider with my insurance so I saw him for a cracked tooth. I was referred to endo for a root canal and Partovy was to do the post and crown. Long story short, that crown was terrible and broke within a month and needed to be replaced. The second crown was worse, he didn't bother to color match or even place it himself - his DA did it and had quite the time. The integrity of the post was also no doubt compromised in the process. Less than a week after this I moved out of state and continued to have issues not only with the crown but excessive infections. It was finally, after a few years, suggested by my current dentist to have my root canal redone and a new crown and post made. Today I had that root canal and low and behold Dr. Partovy forgot to remove the cotton pellet placed by the endodontist as a place holder for the post. Instead he just covered it up and it was found today. I've had numerous infections and suffered bone loss thanks to his mistake. 6 years that sat there! That's as bad as a surgeon leaving tools in a patient. But I digress... save yourself the money and potential long term issues and STAY AWAY! read more

I found Dr. Partovy through Groupon. I purchased a teeth whitening package. I decided to get a teeth cleaning before the teeth whitening and it was amazing, that's how it began. He is very knowledgeable about cosmetic dentistry and has guided me through some teeth bonding but he's also knowledgeable about general dentistry. I was have issues with TMJ and he knew exactly what I needed done. My son was born with a cleft in his lip and gum and has had many challenges with dentistry. Dr. and Staff are nice enough, but there is no question that I got "hard sold" into invisalign and wound up spending around $4k. If you go to this office, make sure you go with eyes open, ready to negotiate, and don't make any financial commitments on the spot. That's where I made my mistake. As someone who has worked in the dental industry I have very high standards of what dentistry should be, and Dr. Partovy met all of those standards. His staff was very warm and personable. They make you feel at ease, which is hard to do in a dental office. The cleaning was a breeze, and very affordable. Also, I need braces, and I will definitely be going to Dr. Partovy to get them. Being in the entertainment industry invisalign is the only way to go when you need braces. Also he uses Lumineers for his porcelain veneers, which is the least invasive pain free way to get porcelain veneers. Worst dentist EVER... So far at least. Just look at his reviews at his Marina del Rey location. He's a liar and a thief. He won't think twice and won't feel even a little remorse. He charged me $6000 for Invisalign and they didn't fit right at all. I told him from day one and he said I just needed to get used to them. They were giving me blisters, the top tray was too big on one side and he told me to wait it out. I told him every week that it didn't fit right and it was shifting my teeth in the wrong direction. He continued to tell me to wait it out. He would often hide when I'd go in to see him. I insisted every week until finally he told me it was too late and that I would have to go though the whole process again, including PAYING ALL OVER AGAIN! I had already paid $6000 and now he wanted to charge me $3300. He even refused to give me my remaining trays even after I had already paid for everything. He told me to call Invisaligns lab and to try to convince them and that only then he would do them for me otherwise. The lab said he was wrong and that he was the only one that could call and order a new set for me. He refused and wanted me to pay again. $6000! Nothing but a thief. They also charged me more for a few fillings I got. They charged me like if my cavities were really deep when they weren't. He even forgot they did that and was telling me I got the wrong molar done. Then he came and told me he was wrong that I did get the right one done but he was lying. I asked the receptionist for a copy of my X-rays and saw that indeed they charged me for a deep filling when in fact they only did 2 small cavities. They charged me $300 for one and $98 for another. THIEVES! DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. YOULL REGRET IT read more

I shopped around a lot for Invisalign and purchased a Groupon for Invisaling with Dr Partovy. I was a little skeptical but the second I met with Dr. Partovy and his staff I knew I would be pleased. He explained the entire process to me and was even able to fit in my cleaning the first visit. He was very flexible with the payment structure. Every time I met with him he reassured me and listened to my concerns. I'm very happy with my results and have also been using the whitening gel he has at the office with no teeth sensitivity! While I agree with the other reviews that Dr. Partovy and his office are very nice, they didn't perform the procedure that they advertised and I paid for. I went in for Zoom whitening, for which they had an advertised special. The doctor took a quick look at my teeth and then one of the office assistants took my $99.99. Once my mouth was pried open and some sort of gel was applied to my teeth they put the regular exam light over my mouth. Unable to speak, I gestured to the Zoom machine to my left and the nurse said that the stuff they put on my teeth only needed this light to be activated. 20 mins later they put another, brighter (still not Zoom) light on my teeth. Once it was done I asked the nurse why they hadn't used the Zoom. I got an incoherent answer about what they did would make my teeth less sensitive. I left feeling angry with teeth barely whiter than when I entered. I decided to call a few minutes later to complain. The receptionist and the doctor reminded me that they said they could not guarantee results. To this I replied that I had paid for Zoom whitening but that they had performed some other procedure. The doctor didn't argue with this and asked how I would like to resolve this. I decided to return to the office and get my money back. They never apologized for performing a procedure different than what was advertised, agreed to and paid for. read more

I came to Dr. Partovy in need of a lot of dental work and he took great care of me! I am currently in recovery and after years of substance abuse I did a lot of damage to my teeth. I was even without a front top tooth. Having once been an attractive girl this particular dental crisis was imperative to rebuilding my self esteem. I told him my story and he was very kind and patient, promising that he would do whatever needed to be done to make it perfect so I could smile again. It is VERY difficult to make one front tooth match perfectly, but Dr. Partovy spent many extra hours and even made my tooth over several times with no extra charge. He never made me feel bad for wanting it changed and he worked his magic to make me that perfect tooth! I am now 17 months sober and have been smiling ever since. It is so important to find a dentist who will give you exactly what you want, without making you feel bad or charging you extra. Dr. Partovy made me feel safe and comfortable and he even worked with me on the prices, knowing I didnt have much. He is such a sweatheart and he is an excellent dentist!
