I came to Dr. Shafagh to get a previously completed Invisalign treatment with a Dentist corrected, as I wasn't happy with the results. She was able to not only correct the issues created by the Dentist, but also corrected an issue with my bite/smile that could have caused some serious problems in the next 10-15 years. The process itself was seamless. The retainer phase once treatment was completed was a bit of a struggle, as my teeth weren't wanting to hold in the retainers, but Dr. Shafagh figured out a solution (ordering my retainers based off of my final aligner tray rather than a new scan) and it fixed the issue. I feel a sense of relief after visiting Dr.Shafagh's office. I recently had a terrible experience with getting Invisalign through my dentist so I went on a hunt to get as many consultations as I could when I found this location. I'm telling you, this place is a godsend. They're very transparent and know what they're doing here! I originally found them on Reddit because one of their patients recommended them. The Doctor is an expert in Invisalign (diamond rating). Edwin is a wonder tech who makes difficult processes (like removing attachments) smooth and pain-free. Oscar (another tech) knows how to solve any problem. These techs always puts the client first. I was told that I needed surgery and then again that I was not a candidate for Invisalign. This Doctor proven everyone wrong. My underbite is fixed and I have prevented many dental problems down the line at an affordable rate. If you are a new client, my advice is to trust the process. I had a pretty bad cross bite that was very uncomfortable. I saw a bunch of orthodontists and all of them said I needed jaw surgery. Fast forward to coming to Studio City Orthodontist and being told I could use Invisalign to fix the issue! The overall process was really smooth and way better than braces. Popping in and out aligners allowed me to still have freedom in eating, etc. By the end my bite is fixed and I no longer have a ton of uncomfort in my jaw. It also helped manage my TMJ a bit (didn't fix it entirely, but I think that's not possible with my case without surgery). Thank you to the whole staff! read more

I had a traditional night card for years and I would wake up in the morning and find that I had thrown it out of my mouth because it was so uncomfortable. I am on month 15 of treatment and my experience has been very positive. I started to see results very shortly into my treatment. Now 15 months in my teeth are unrecognizable. From the very beginning consultation I felt that I could trust Dr Kathy and her team, compared to other consultations I had scheduled in other locations. PEOPLE WHO SUFFER FROM TMJ TMD DISORDER PLEASE READ!!!!!!! Dr Kathy saved my life... I was suffering from really bad TMJ pain for years, it was unbearable for so long until I met her. Before our meeting, I visited so many "TMJ Specialist" and spend thousands of dollars for a bandage fix to my issue and it was a complete nightmare. I did get some relief from them but it only lasted a little while until the pain came back. I was truly loosing hope that I would always be in pain for the rest of my life until my brother recommended me to her office, he was almost done with his Invisalign treatment and his teeth and bite looked amazing. She was my last hope and option. When I first went to Dr Kathy's office I told her my experience with the symptoms I was having and all the TMJ Specialist I was seeing. She can see that I was clearly going through a lot of pain and immediately started to examine my teeth and bite. After a 30 minute consultation that she did not charge me for, she gave me a list of things I had to do before starting treatment. Dr Kathy looked me dead in my eyes and reassured me that she can fix my problem, but told me I have to trust the process, that gave me some relief that I was in good hands. My issue was my bite was so bad that only my two back molars were touching when I was biting down no other teeth were making contact. That was causing a tremendous amount of pain in my jaw and muscles surrounding it because my jaw was never in a relaxed position, and it has been like this for years. Once I got my last 2 wisdom teeth removed we were able to start treatment. 6 months in the treatment I started to see my bite come together and my pain was starting to slowly go away. I was so happy to see improvements and I just stuck with it the whole way through. I told myself I am now getting a permanent fix and not a temporary one. I wore my aligners everyday and night and started to see even more progress. Yes there was times when the pain came back however Dr Kathy was so patient with me with and guided me with stress management techniques and re assured me 100 times that I would be ok. Fast forward 18+ months later I am finished with my treatment and I got my life back. I live basically pain free and I am so grateful for her and the whole staff at this office. She is not only a Master in her field but she is such a caring person that I am forever grateful to have met her and was blessed she took me in and solved my TMJ problem. Please if you suffer from this horrible pain like I did for many years, book a consultation with her and see what your options are. I was arguably one of her hardest cases to fix and she did it with flying colors. My bite and teeth are amazing as you see in the photos below. Dr Kathy I am forever grateful for you.
