They had tons of fun fall activities, an enormous corn maze with fun clues and a bridge, a hay bale climbing tower, a tricycle track, hay rides, bouncy rubber horses for kids to ride on, a giant pool table with soccer balls to be kicked into the corner pockets, and lots more. They also had a lovely market where they had tons of pumpkin varieties, mums of all colors, what seemed like 100 flavors of whoopie pies, cider, and tons more. Awesome day of fun for everyone!

When I heard about RMFM, we took a drive to check it out on this beautiful weekend before Halloween. First off, when we arrived around 1 p.m., it was pretty empty. It picked up when we finally left around 3, but it still wasn't all that crowded compared to most places I've visited before. Second, their Robin Hood Maze and Barnyard Fun Area Activities is a good value in my opinion compared to others. Prices are 3 and under--free, ages 4-12--$7.00, and 13 and up--$9.50. Here's what you get: *Robin Hood Maze with activity book--there are stations throughout the maze to keep it fun and exciting. *Hayride *Trike Track--This might have been the favorite for my boys. The Pedal Karts were close behind but they had less bikes so you had to wait your turn if it was busy. *Pedal Karts *Rubber Ducky Races *Corn Hole *Campfire--not sure what the purpose of this is but it's still cool! Might be nice on a cool day but today was 70° so... *Corn Sandbox *Bouncy thingys--I don't know what they call them but the boys had a lot of fun fooling around. I think what impressed me the most was how unique all of these activities were. Even my 14-year-old son was having so much fun and my youngest son didn't want to leave. Before we left, we did buy a couple of pumpkins and some whoopie pies at the store. They have quite a variety of items. If you're looking for a quieter, less expensive place to take your kids to for the fall next season, then RMFM is it! You can thank me later.

The car show gets a few hundred cars. If you want to enter your car it's $20 cash at the gate. They give you a small tin plaque and a registration card for your window. Since my car isn't winning any awards I don't stay till 3 pm to await the judges choices. My car is nice, but not prize winning nice but that's ok. It's a fun few hours. It got too hot by noon to stay longer. Weather in early May is tricky. Highly recommend checking out the car show. The general store on the grounds is huge. Bought lots of stuff to take home.

Linvilla orchards is an amazing place to bring family and kids of all ages. There's also a a market that sells freshly grown fruits, vegetables and local made goods. There's also a garden and gift shop selling a lot of the local artisan products. Lots of parking available around the main entrance area. We went early in the morning around 10am. We spent most of the first few hours walking around the zoo that had a huge chicken range, duck pond, cow, goats, sheep and horses. There are vending machine to buy corns to feed the animals. We had to get our own quarters as the coin exchange machine was broken. Around the noon we head to the Linvilla Grill. They had some good pizza and chicken tenders. There were few outdoor benched to dine. Price was little steep. The freshly squeezed lemonade was outrageous. They make the whole thing by grinding lemon right in front and put it in a huge plastic 32 oz jar. It is so worth for $8. We also bought some peaches and cooking sauces from the market. Cash is preferred, for credit card they charge fee at the market checkout.

About a 50 minute drive from Philly and easy parking in a big field with folks directing you where to go. Definitely dusty so dress accordingly (and be prepared to take a shower after you get home). We arrived about 1pm and there was a steady stream of folks coming and going. Check-in process was very straightforward (showed QR code from previously purchased ticket). Highly recommend getting your tickets ahead of time online for a timed (but not strict at all) ticket. We were not interested in the boats, the tractor (dusty!) rides, we were just focused on the tulips. $1 per tulip if you pick more than 10 $2 per tulip if you pick less than 10 There were 4-5 different large sections that had row up on row of different varieties and colors of tulips. Stations with plastic containers to assist you with holding the tulips you've picked, then tables with rolls of brown paper to wrap your tulips and rubber band the bouquets. Checkout was super fast and easy and friendly, there are food trucks in a couple different spots (we got fruit smoothies which were excellent). All in all I had a really great time and look forward to returning for the sunflowers and zinnias!

Now they hire a few high schoolers a little wage to check people in, a few independent contractors run ramshackle concession trucks (it being Easter weekend, they didn't sell beer. Thank Goodness because on top of everything else below, I didn't want to see inebriated funsters face down in the tulips, which was the original title of the Tiny Tim Tulip tune, I'm sure) So they have little to now over head and droves of families who'd go to anything to get out of the house and let the enervated kinder scamper around fill up the grass fields parking lot) What shocked me was the dismal display of mediocre tulips and the overall unpleasant experience. And spoiler: this ain't Holland. 1) 4 hour round trip not worth War Gas. 2) It's only for kids and families really. Check out the durrrr Tulip Down, besotted stumbling sickly chickens and questionable slide) 3) Dirty. 4) Dirt all over - nothing paved. Why they don't have people sign releases is beyond me. It's a trip and fall inclined tip toe paradise. 5) Paddle boats not in use. Spring and no boats. Really? 6) (cover your eyes parents - spoiler) Infested with kids. 7) Awful music. Like party music at a sleepaway camp in a slasher movie. 8) If pointlessly walking around in soft soil with a focus on not wrenching your ankle is your thing, cummere and fork over $20 and enjoy. 9) Punishing, unrelenting sun. All the outdoor fun of being on a chaingang without the chains and something to do like knocking rocks. 10) Ratty tulip flowers were unimpressive - I'm sure I'd be more impressed if I lived life at ankle level and strapped on a Transmission Electron Microscope. 11) Dig a sense of sprawling nothingness? Welcome. Nothing as far as the eye can see except sickly tulips and dirt. 12) The bad arty touches are for children and those that live at knee level. Tulip Town is more like Bridgetroll Village. 23) I came here for peace and ended up trudging around the fields like a farmer wondering where I dropped that damn-gum pouch of chew! Myrtle! Is that a boll weevel?!? Total disappointment. My opinion. If you go here and find none of this true, I'll buy you glasses.
