I'm familiar with the location in Kansas City and am delighted that we have one in Chicago now! If you're looking for Midwestern humor with a snarky twist, realized on tees, mugs, magnets, postcards, shotglasses and more, this is THE PLACE. There's also a lot of timely humor since they create their own designs. There are also a lot of gay-themed designs, plus designs appealing to niche markets like teachers and librarians. Did I mention there are two floors of merchandise? Yup. And lots of clearance. So you might find an awesome tee for just 7 bucks. We got super friendly service from Alex, who was as nice as can be. Midwest at its best! Raygun will stun you with its amazing merchandise and staff!

I've gotten some of my favorite Ts here, and I basically live in them since it's all work-from-home all the time. I love the political awareness of their brand and flaunt my social justice t-shirts while I'm out walking in hopes it will remind people not to be complacent. I also did some Christmas shopping here for fun and quirky gifts like magnets and pint glasses. I only have one complaint: they should watch out for the alignment on the shirt. Shrink the letters if the message is long, because it's hard to read in my armpit.

Great yelp event here tonight! Tons of cool quirky merchandise. Got to watch the screen printing process and see how each shirt or item is individually made to perfection but not necessarily the same. Staff were all very friendly and informative about how this company began.

I would have never stumbled upon this cool store without attending an awesome yelp elite event. The merchandise has endless "punny" sayings and slogans. The T-shirt's are so soft. Each item is screen printing by hand which was great to find out. This is an amazing place to grab funny gifts for friends or an awesome slogan shirt for yourself. The staff was very friendly and laid back. I loved the vibe in the store!

Love this place. I'm from Des Moines (as is this magical store) so I'm so happy we have one in Chicago! There are sassy liberal t-shirts, Chicago art, and so much more! I mean the fact that they have socks with ranch on them is like...they just get me. This is a fun place to go even to look around. If you have out of towners, bring em!

I love how openly humorous they are and welcoming of all people!

Yet, it is how a business chooses to respond that makes the difference. Case-in-point: one of the shirts I dropped off was a victim of a battle I'd had with a bowl of ramen. The result was tiny oily stains on the front. Generally, dry cleaners have no issue with stains of this kind. Further, when I asked the gentleman behind the counter what chemical they use, he stated it was "Perk" (writing it out). I will assume he meant "Perc"c as in "Perchloroethylene", a chemical which dissolves oil. All this to say, when I picked up the shirt, the stains were still there. I called this out, and asked "Isn't perc. supposed to dissolve oil?" The response given was that the machine was very full. (By the way, isn't Perc banned in Illinois?) I am confident I pointed these out, but even if not "We're sorry, you did not call out attention to these so we were unaware" may have been be reasonable. What was said was not only a poor excuse, but also an indication of a half-hearted job. Stuffing a machine so full it cannot clean means nothing inside gets effectively cleaned. Now, I want to give them some credit where it is due. When the shirt in question was redone, the stains were gone. The other items I had cleaned were also done properly, and I've no complaints. Other than the half-hearted excuse, it seemed the clerk was knowledgeable, as he suggested which items should be laundered, and which should be dry cleaned based on their material, however, I am not sure how much confidence I have with this, as I'd been having these items laundered easily dozens of times without issue. Thus, based on my experience, Newstyle did a solid job making my clothes clean and pressed - however, this required two visits, seeing past an excuse, and comes with the caveat that the machine in use may be stuffed over capacity and thus unable to clean effectively.

The price is great at Newstyle, and I'm very well sure that i will return in the future for cleaning my clothing items.

While I am not someone who completely avoids clothing made overseas, I feel good about wearing something that contributes to the local economy and is made by someone working in safe conditions for a good wage. + The jeans are a good cross between rugged and comfortable (especially after a little wear-in). While I would not wear these to a construction site or run in them, they work well for an office worker with a cat. What I mean is, they are soft enough that I don't feel abrasion or scratchiness from all-day wear. At the same time, when my cat greets me at the door with claws extended, I am not as worried about holes or damage as with other, more expensive brands. + The length is cut to your size and preference and then sewn in-store while you wait. While I am not a man with an unusual or rare size, I love that I can have something customized to me. It's a rare and treasured touch these days. + The service in their location was fantastic. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and worked with me to find something I would be happy with in terms of color, length, and fit. + Especially considering the quality of the product and that it's made locally, I feel as though the asking price of $79 is more than reasonable. The caveat: - The fit could have been better. When I bought Levi's at Target or Amazon, I would go for the "Athletic Fit," which is a little narrower than a standard cut but not skinny. I thought Dearborn's "Tailored Fit" would be perfect, but it didn't feel quite right or comfortable. I had to go for their "Relaxed Fit," which was comfortable but didn't quite hit the nail on the head in terms of overall fit. However, I am not an unreasonable fellow and I realize that if I wanted something that would fit perfectly, I would need to pay a lot more money and go bespoke. Having fits for every body shape is otherwise impossible. I do want to mention that Mugsy, despite being of only one style, seems to be more in line with the fit I seek. However, they don't have some of the other benefits mentioned above. Final Verdict: As I start to move on from Amazon and Target (for they shrink way too much), Dearborn Denim will enter my rolodex for places where I occasionally buy clothing. However, I cannot say it will be the only place where I buy my jeans.

I've visited this specific location a few times and it's like any Burlington location. They have a nice mix of brand name items from purses to coats. You can find a few hidden gems if you're willing to take the time to look. I've found a cute True Religion denim purse that I hadn't seen in the other department store. I also was able to snag a pair of Crocs that were lined with a sherpa type fabric. They have a lot of name brand shoes, I've grabbed a pair of unique looking Nike's and recently saw they had a bunch of Converse. The only negative is that my size seems to always be picked through and have a limited number of cute shoes. The smaller sizes have rows of shoes but the larger sizes are in a small section. If you're looking for a coat you can definitely find something to match your vibe. I've visited a few times and seem to find myself purchasing a coat a few times. They don't just have bulky winter coats but they have a lot of smaller coats for more temperament weather. They seem to invest a lot in loss prevention because they have security guards throughout the store and posted at the front of the store. Their always friendly, majority of the time they welcome you into the store. The employees overall are friendly, I haven't ran into anyone that wasn't open to small talk no matter how long the line was. They do seem understaffed because at max I've seen two workers at the registers but they keep the line moving. I highly recommend visiting early in the morning because it's less crowded! Avoid the weekend if you're trying to get some of the hidden gems.

First things first: Whilst she does have a studio at which you can shop (the address listed here), I don't think it keeps regular hours so you'll need to text or call to visit (number is also listed on this listing, or on her website). Alternatively, Tori Grace merchandise can be found at several shops in and around the suburbs, including Andersonville Galleria a few blocks away on Clark. You'll also find her at festivals and events throughout the city. The business began because she made some bows and headbands for her daughter, and it's certainly blossomed from there. Onesies, hats, coasters, t-shirts, hoodies, pillows... she's got a bit of everything. Most of it is Chicago-related, which makes for great souvenirs or gifts. I bought my Chicago baby a couple onesies (she's ready for her first Cubs game next season!), a hat for myself, and I was eyeing a couple of bolster-style pillows that I suspect I will own at some point. Prices are very reasonable and I love supporting a local business! At a local festival, I saw that she had her portable sewing machine out and was actually making additional items in between sales.
