They also made recommendations based on new codes coming into play over the next couple of years so that we would be compliant. That kind of attention to detail was most welcome. John, the Master Electrician who came to the house later, easily guided two young apprentices over 2 days of full-on work. John was amazing, listening to my questions, assisting me in last minute decisions, and making certain the customer was happy. John was very insistent in making sure we were happy and pleased with their work. His knowledge and background was priceless while I worked through the list of my wants and needs, he was very patient too, as I asked endless questions. They put in long days and protected our home while working cleanly and efficiently. I had a bucket list of items that I needed help with. I got ridiculous quotes from other electricians, $2200, $2600, $2500. Marty came by, looked at the job and had decided the best course of action what to just do Time and Materials at his hourly rate. It saved him from underestimating/overestimating and I could manage the costs fairly. Items completed: 1. Deck Post light caps: Caseta switch installation. Also diagnosing some incorrect connections (I had made incorrect connections previously). Wiring an incomplete LV wiring run to complete a 'missing' section of lights. 2. Under deck puck lights: 15 Amp box and 2nd Caseta switch installation powering puck lights 3. Troubleshooting Magnitude MLV Transformer (found bad caseta switch and worked with Lutron support to diagnose and get replacement) 4. Installed heat tape on troublesome (ice/snow) roof section I got everything done for roughly $600.00. (I bought all the materials in advance ~$100 worth and did some "brain dead" stuff myself (like running 14/2 UF wire through existing conduit). In any event, I was thrilled with T&M as was he. I believed I saved roughly $1500 by spending an hour or two myself and having Marty come in for the rest. I think I found my new 'go to' electrician in my area. Fair, honest and hard working.

Seth and his helper wired a 4 season sunroom, added a new panel to support that room plus some…read moreother outdoor wiring. The quote was good and they showed up when they said they would. Issue 1: Without asking anyone, Seth drilled through a brand new flat rubber (EPDM) roof to install conduit. My builder was onsite and after was not happy. Then he improperly installed the rubber cup (aka witches hat) to seal. This was outside exposed to rain and ice and obviously would have filled. I had to ask Seth to remove that conduit. Then asked my roofing contractor to come back and repair the roof properly. Issue 2: Seth left an open panel inside an unfinished area of the basement with 15' of wiring exiting the panel and laying on the floor. The wiring used to run my 240VAC irrigation pump. I had to remind him (see pic) about this the day before the final building inspection. He fixed it. Issue 3: Seth added the new outside panel, but never added the 240 VAC breakers for the pump! Seth says I asked to have the original line removed but did not want a new line to my pump...somehow. Did he ask? Does that make any sense? The pump saver is 12" from the panel. Today I asked Seth about the missing 240VAC circuit. Seth "is too busy". This last bit is why I am writing a review today. Root cause: Making assumptions without asking.

He came on time and he quickly assessed my garage and basement. He saw my charger and indicated that it's a plug-in which may cause some problems. He recommended a hardwire solution. Luckily my EV charger supplier was able to swap out the charger free of charge. Dave and team came on the scheduled day and installed the charger and connected it to my electrical panel. He labeled everything for me and showed me how it worked. Great value and great service.

I never had to make a request more than once (to remind them), and the ladder they used even had those soft feet at the end so it didn't bang against the side of my house. I also didn't see any of the small mistakes that I find contractors often make (eg trampling something I asked them to avoid). Oh and their price was lower than others I had gotten estimates from.
