We hired Linda and her team for our fall, 2021 wedding in Sutter Creek. I am astounded at the work she did. This is a full-service catering company complete with linen rentals, table set up, bar tending, serving, clean up and DELICIOUS food! I couldn't have asked for anything better on the wedding day I was planning and coordinating myself. Throughout our planning process she guided us through and helped us put together a menu by creating a mind-blowing "tasting" for us. The "tasting" really was her dropping off boxes of food, enough for us to share plenty with our neighbors! She covered our kitchen counters with everything you can possibly think of - mac n cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, prime rib, chicken, pork, caprese appetizers, baked Brie appetizers, and so much more. She even brought us a box of desserts to try and created a breathtaking dessert display! At the end of the night her team completely cleaned up and left the venue flawless. I am so so so grateful to have found her AND her pricing. She could get away with charging double for her services if she wanted to. To top it off, Linda is the kind of person you want to be around. Came across on yelp after shopping for a few other caterers. It was stiff competition. We met with other owners and decided to go with Rayna's after meeting with Linda, the owner. She was patient and extremely helpful. not to mention the food was delicious and services were reasonably priced. We had our reservations about the company too especially during the upcoming months and weeks of our event. Similar complaints about how the company was hard to reach. Communication was lacking. Linda is a generous person who cares about her clients just as much as she cares for her business. We were able to have good communication with our caterer and had many options available for our dinner and dessert. Linda and her staff are absolutely incredible. I appreciate her patience and her all around love for the industry she works in. Her passion is fueled in what she displays and I know that she is in the right field. With that said, my wedding was catered by Rayna's last July 2012. It was absolutely amazing and the food was incredible. After choosing a menu we were sent home with so many samples! Be prepared for lots of left overs. Linda does not shy away from putting on a show. She allowed us to help ourselves to anything in her inventory. From selections of table cloths, table decor, and even the lemonade stand that made its way to my wedding. With high praises I did, however, have a few complaints. Linda is not the best at corresponding through email. She does make that clear. But with a growing business and with the rest of the world transitioning into a technological advanced state, email shouldn't be too difficult to navigate. Menu items that we had agreed on for the wedding didn't end up at the wedding. I feel like if I paid full price for the items we agreed on, then they should be there. Linda doesn't remember everything we talk about or she misinterprets what we talked about. This can create confusion and frustration at times for not just her but both parties involved. All in all, Rayna's did an amazing job at my wedding. The staff made my wedding day stress free. The displays looked amazing and the food is something my guest still talk about to this day. She will forever be the caterer I use for everything! She's absolutely amazing. She cares about her brides and she cares about your budget and she strives to make you happy and your day perfect. Linda, the owner, truly cares about each and everyone of the clients that she works with. She was the only caterer we interviewed for our Wedding, and that's because she gives you the most bang for your buck, and it includes everything you need, including decor to match your wedding style and taste. Although emailing can be challenging at times, if you pick up the phone and call her she will always respond! I met with Linda a couple of times prior to the wedding to go over our table set up and decor, and she absolutely nailed my vision and even had brand new napkins made to match the light blue color I had to have! On the day of the wedding, her staff delivered complimentary sandwiches and snacks to our bungalow to make sure the entire wedding party was fed. Her staff was extremely attentive to our guests and made sure everyone was taken care of from beginning to end. Linda even came over to my husband and I and asked if we wanted to be the first thru the buffet line, or if we wanted her to serve us. She served us both, and was even sweet enough to make sure my plate didn't have anything that could spill on my dress. The food was absolutely delicious and all of our guests agreed. We ordered mini pies from a bakery, rather than a large wedding cake, and since the bakery could not fit them all on the table, Linda's staff offered to serve and replenish them as needed. To top everything off, they packaged up a ton of left over food and sent everything home with us. My wedding is next month and so far I'm not pleased. I paid in full months ago and her delay time in responding to emails is absurd. I've practically begged to taste cupcakes that will be at wedding and she keeps missing appointments and not responding to email. It's frustrating as a bride. I hope she pulls things together by my wedding. An update got married at scribbler bend vineyard 10/13/13 everything was setup beautifully by the caterer and the food was delicious. There were 2 things not done to my liking, but not enough to ruin my day. Still not sure if I would recommend based on lack of email response. Communication is a big deal to me. read more

My fiancé and I contacted Rayna's Catering as our first option in catering our wedding. We did some research, read the reviews, and were really interested in seeing what Rayna was all about. We met Linda for a 'preview' type of meeting, where she shared with us all the services that Rayna provides, pricing, and how the tasting works. She was really sweet, super nice, and we had no problems with communication UNTIL! We scheduled a tasting for a Saturday afternoon at 2PM because I come from the Bay Area and can only be in the Sacramento area on the weekends. She was the one who said "2PM" and we both agreed to it. Saturday comes, it's 1:30PM, my fiancé rings the doorbell to the business, and one of her cooks answered the door. Out of being courteous, we wanted to let them know that we were early and that we would be waiting in the car. No rush, however, the cook said "We aren't cooking anything right now and Linda didn't mention anything to us about a 2PM tasting." The cook even checked the schedule and there was nothing. The cook called Linda through their business line, and Linda asked to speak with me. This is what she said: "Eliza, I have on my schedule 1:30 that I am catering. We agreed upon 2-2:30." My response was "I know, we agreed upon 2PM. We just rang the doorbell to let you know that we were here." So then she tells us to leave my fiancé's address and that they will just deliver the food to his place. So we head back to his place and we wait, patiently. 2PM: No word. 2:30PM: No word. 2:45: She calls and asks for directions to his place. She also had the audacity to lie, talking about "The food was already ready by 2PM, I just didn't want you guys waiting." Keep in mind when she does food tasting, it's good for a party of 6 so there was no way she could've whipped it up in 30 minutes (because she wasn't even at her kitchen by 1:45!). 3:15PM: Food arrives. Decent tasting food. Our favorite was her salmon appetizer. Because of this whole experience, we decided not to hire her to cater our wedding because we feared she would do something like this on our wedding day. The best way to describe Rayna's is "everything is included!" By hiring them you get excellent food, gorgeous decor (lemonade stand, flowers, votives, linens, flatware, silverware, glassware, etc), extremely helpful staff, and invaluable experience. Rayna's was recommended to me by both my co-worker and my husband's coworker, all of their online reviews were unmatched, and they were a preferred vendor at our venue (The Flower Farm) so it was pretty much a no-brainer to hire them. I used Rayna's catering for my wedding on the recommendation of a friend that's used her twice for events. Linda and her staff are awesome. The package I got included decorations, food, and service. She picked up the tables and chairs as well. Honestly most of my wedding was taken care of by Linda and her staff. They set up, brought flowers to match my scheme, linens, china... everything. My only complaint is that Linda is terrible about returning emails and phone calls. I was told by multiple people that I was the chillest bride. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect an email or phone call back within a full week. I think she needs an office manager of sorts to make phone calls and return emails since it seems like that's the one issue that keeps coming up. I understand she's a busy lady, having someone else take care of that would improve my only issue with this business. Everything else was fantastic. That said, everything turned out great. Wish I could give negative stars. My son got married last Saturday and not a single thing provided by Rayna's was right from the decorations to the dinner. The dinner as missing the ribs, barbeque chicken, steamed vegetables, baked potatoe bar and cupcakes. We were served chewy tri-tip, some sort of tasteless shredded pork we didn't order and small potatoes that were so undercooked you had to cut them with a knife. Without the cupcakes the wedding cake had to be cut to feed twice the people it was meant to. We also caught one of her employees stealing alcohol from the bar. Linda didn't bother to show up to make sure things were done right. Before the wedding Linda was very difficult to contact, her voicemail was usually full. You could leave a message at the office and if you were lucky you may get an answer to your question in three or four days. From the beginning we loved Linda. She was friendly, flexible and helpful when it came to planning our wedding. They had many menues to choose from, but we got to customize our own. We got to pick up a few boxes of food to sample at home. At the reception, we chose to have it buffet style so our guests couple stuff themselves. Our guests loved the food from the appetizers to main course. She had staff pass out a few hor'dourves. Presentation of the buffett was great. She even picked up our lechon (roasted pig) and displayed him nicely on the appetizer table. She gave use tips on how to save money. She returned our rentals for us after the wedding. She came to our house on the other side of the town to pick up our wedding stuff. She went above and beyond. Just a few irks: 1) She only accepts cash or check. No cards. 2) She's not great at corresponding. Sometimes it would take days for her to return an email or a phone call. She admits to not being tech savvy, but common! Her company would benefit having an office manager or someone who would help her get organized. 3) She/her staff lost a few things for our reception like our floating candles (they used cheap tealights that went out after 5 mins). They also did not set up our photowall correctly. She agreed to compensate, but I haven't received anything yet. Overall, her staff did a great job and the price was pretty tough to beat. I didn't have to pay extra for the drink station, the dessert bar, or the servers. There was no cork fee or cake cutting fee. I didn't have to pay extra for the linens. Where to start very disappointed bride and groom For starters the decorations were not correct there is supposed to be fusion in the center of the tables around the candleholders the only thing on the table that were fission was the napkins and our main table was not done correctly and thank you to my sister-in-law and and friends and family The arch got it decorated the company claimed they lost the bolts to the arch so we had to duck tape the arch to the wall and everything was not set up on time also there was supposed be a big lanterns on each side of the arts there was not they were little lanterns down the aisle was not supposed to be like that supposed to be the food was way under cooked the potatoes were hard you couldn't even eat them we were supposed to have baked potatoes ribs grilled vegetables and Linda said she was going to do cupcakes for around the cake those were not provided so they had to cut into my wedding cake which were too small to feed all the guests. ALL THE STARS!!!! First working with Linda is a blast! She catered our wedding on May 21st, 2016. If it wasn't for all they have to offer for linens, center pieces, signage our wedding would have not come together as nicely. All of those were an added bonus that they provide and she has A LOT of different items for literally every theme, and if she doesn't she will definitely figure something out to accommodate. Linda works with the budget that you need to stay with and the amount and quality of food is well worth the price! We went with a BBQ style theme since our wedding was vintage/rustic at Scribner Bend Vineyards. The food was absolutely amazing both during the tasting and on the day of our event. First, I want to say that if I could give a 6th star, I would. Rayna's Gourmet Catering was the highlight of our wedding day. Communication was sometimes difficult during the process, but have faith--they always try their hardest, and really pull though. Finding the right caterer for us was difficult, as our wedding in March was a marriage of a Chinese and Italian family. Because both sides are very traditional, food was given special attention, and we wanted authentic cuisine to appeal to both sides. We were two months away from the wedding until we found Rayna's Gourmet Catering...and just when we were ready to give up on the perfect wedding, they saved us. When there were culturally important dishes that were too specific and outside of their specialty, they allowed alternatives which included bringing in dishes from outside chefs of their establishment--a solution that no other caterer was willing to provide, and there were no additional fees to boot. Rayna's Catering was kind, considerate, and flexible. The sheer quality and quantity of food was astonishing--no one believed what we paid, and it was a truly memorable part of many guests' evening. Everyone thought we must have blown the food budget out of the waters. Linda and her crew set up our buffet table, dessert table, and even lobby sign-in table. They were professional, punctual, and well-dressed for the event. I do believe you will be hard pressed to find another caterer of this caliber with such reasonable prices. Rayna's Catering saved me literally thousands of dollars for my wedding. Not only was the food incredible, but Linda and her team truly exceeded mere catering duties. She offered a great selection of linens, decorations, complete place settings, centerpieces--everything you can possibly need. Linda is very experienced with putting together the finer details, and I felt like I had a wedding coordinator by my side. I was able to exclude outside rentals all together. Had I found them sooner, I would have saved even more, but I had already purchased many things and contracted with other vendors. During our wedding day, there was a magician among their crew--a gentleman who would suddenly appear when the bride and groom most needed him. My bridal party and I arrived late to the venue, and we had to avoid the sight of many guests who were already in the venue. No one knew how to get me to my hidden entrance spot without being sighted, and he cleverly whipped up a white linen wall and gracefully walked me across the ballroom. The entire day was filled with many such hiccups, and without fail, he would appear--and no matter where my husband and I were, he was able to find us and offer us glasses of water that we direly needed at the moment. These were all little things that really made a difference for us, and this attention to detail for our entire event--not merely the food--exceeded all our expectations for a caterer. First I would like to start of by saying I DO NOT RECCOMEND using this company for anything. I made the mistake by hiring raynas catering for my wedding and it was an absolute joke. Mine and my wife's dream wedding was promised to be provided but was far from it. From the decorations which were half assed to the food which was poorly cooked and missing multiple items from the menu we selected. If not for members of wife's and my family helping her crew decorate tables and having to duct tape our arch to a wall it sat close to just to get it to stand up properly it would have been a complete disaster. On top of that cupcakes were to be provided for the guest and they never were forcing them to feed everyone the wedding cake which was far to small to feed everyone. Oh and my cake topper magically disappeared. I can go on and on about the screwups on there end but I would be writing a short novel to list everything. We hired Linda for my sister's wedding last night. I cannot say enough good things about Linda and her staff. We had a rain emergency and timelines and floor plans changed at the very last minute but they just rolled with it. It's incredibly apparent that Linda has a genuine passion for what she does, and it didn't just stop at food. She had so many items that she let us borrow because she thought they would go well with our theme, and these special touches really made the day even more special. Not only was the food amazing (after waiting on us after a rain delay and trying to keep it warm and fresh) but she really went above and beyond to coordinate with the venue, other vendors, and handle as many details as possible while I was trying to deal with the rain emergency. Other reviews have mentioned lack of response in email, but I do have to say that she says this up front. It may not be her forte, but I think that is ok because it's very clear that she puts so much energy and passion into making the day special. I would not recommend this company at all. They are very unprofessional. Especially Linda. We met with her and hopes that she would cater our wedding. It was a great meeting. She sent us the menus and advised us on options. that was the point that she dropped off the face of the planet. I emailed her and called her office. They kept saying she would call me back. Finally I got a hold of her, and she said she would call me tomorrow. Didn't call... I called her again and she said she would call me the next day. Still nothing. We had a daytime wedding and so Linda created us a menu of fritatta, potatoes, pastries, salad, and even a tri-tip carving station. Before meeting with Linda, my fiance and I met with a few other caterers who were very rigid in their pricing and the way they did business. We needed some extra items, and the other caterers were willing to provide them, but everything (and I mean everything) was an additional cost. When we met with Linda, all the extra items we needed (except chair covers) were provided at no additional cost. The food was great and there was lot of it. Linda is a very busy person and does not always carry her phone. My suggestion would be to reach an agreement with Linda regarding communication. For example "let's talk on Monday". Be patient. We had our wedding October 13th and used Rayna's. Of all our vendors, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was a success. From the tasting to the event, everything was flawless. On a Recommendation from an organization we belong to, I hired Rayna's Gourmet Catring for a Brazilian Themed Milestone Birthday Party. Linda, the owner, exceeded my expectations above and beyond, nice presentation and display of foods, and floral arrangement as well. My guests all loved the food which is always a concern, but needless worry, it was absolutely amazing, great flavors, selections, and nice to have servers even for being a Buffet. My Fiancé and I went to the Bridal shower in January. At first I didn't think we could afford Raynas but after taking another look we thought her price was very reasonable especially since we can use all of her votives, candles holders for centerpieces, colored lines, china, glasses, etc.... the list goes on. This will actually end up saving us money. We met with her a on Monday of this week. After talking to her for about an hour we decided to do a tasting. She was ready to do a tasting the very next day. My fiancé went to pick up the food and we thought it was just going to be a few boxes but noooo.. She gave us 23 containers of all sorts of goodies to try. After trying everything I think we found a good fit for our caterer. THE FOOD WAS GREAT! My fav was the dill meat balls; salmon appetizer with lemon zest and the shrimp cucumber.. All of it was great but this was a treat. We still have left overs. Linda is a talker so make sure you have some time to talk. I will give an update after my wedding. read more

What I appreciate about this caterer is that the owner (Linda) makes her customers really feel that she cares about the event. She's not just about the business at hand, she will give everything to make the event very special, from the decors to the food. And she doesn't even charge for all the extras she adds in just to make the occasion extra wonderful. The other caterers I met were all about the profit. Everything I asked had a price...nothing was free. So, if you want a caterer with a good heart and who will be willing to work with you wholeheartedly, hire Rayna's. Update: Linda and her staff did an amazing job at the wedding. I got numerous compliments on the quality, variety and quantity of the food. To this day, friends rave to me about the swedish meatballs, an appetizer. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The staff packed leftovers for them, and we marveled for days over the great pasta salad, fettucini alfredo and tri tip. The presentation was great, with linens that matched the rest of the wedding and a custom-made flower arrangement for the buffet table. Linda even went to the trouble of buying additional lanterns and hanging them in the trees to help decorate the site, Gold HIlls Vineyard. Her staff lit dozens of candles and just went the extra mile in every small way. I couldn't recommend Rayna's more. read more
