I stared at the pieces of nails and extension cord for minutes, and was pretty amazed, particularly at the light/shadow on these objects with watercolor. How does he do it? What is also unique is that he handmade (or I should say, constructed, har har) the wooden frames himself to go along with these pieces of art. I wouldn't have known. Pretty neat stuff! It also appears that photographer David Tosti has listed his studio for his photography business at this location. I only know of this because of the informational postcards left on the table and that he uploaded a couple of photos on this yelp listing. This studio is a cute little space for artists in this artsy part of town.

We booked Justin Element and his team for videography for our May 2020 wedding, which ended up…read moregetting postponed twice. Luckily, they were so easy-going with the postponements and were available for those dates, so we didn't have to look elsewhere for another vendor. My husband was very impressed with their video editing styles that we knew we had to book them. I loved their photo editing styles as well, but our venue already provided us with a photography team, so we ended up opting for an engagement session add-on as a compromise. Justin was so accommodating and patient with all of our questions and requests, and was easy to work with! We ended up having our engagement session July 2020, in the middle of the pandemic and everything was still closed. Crazy enough, we just went back to the same area recently, and my husband was surprised how it was completely empty when we had our shoot there. Justin got us our pictures back pretty quickly, and they turned out amazing!! I was a little tired from all of the running around, so I didn't look as nice later on during the session, but Justin did the best he could, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome!! Our wedding ended up being in September 2021, and before our big day, Justin had a meeting with us to go over everything and answered any questions that we've had. He was well-organized and helped eased our worries! On the day of the wedding, we met Justin's team: Marvin, Christopher, and Dominique. They were amazing and shot anything and everything that they could! We loved that we were able to see the raw footage because some of the moments captured were very memorable to us! We opted for the same-day edit, because at the time we booked them, we were going to show the video during a banquet reception (that got canceled due to the pandemic), so they worked endlessly trying to edit to be able to showcase the video at the end of the night. The video turned out very well, and even our DJ, who has editing background, was very impressed as well! My mother in law loved it so much that, for weeks after our wedding, she was still showing it to everybody she knew that couldn't attend the wedding. We got our Extended Highlight film about a month or so later, and absolutely loved it!! Thank you so much Dominique for shooting and editing our videos!! My husband loves her editing style and were glad to hear that she was able to come out and edit our video! Day of, they were always around with a smile on their faces, capturing the moments I was afraid everyone else missed but were also somehow completely invisible, never ever in the way. I work in the wedding industry and kindness is rarely a thing you see but it is even more rare when partnered with talent on this level. Also, I am very awkward in front of the camera and I require a little direction, our photographer took a very hands off approach so having the very thoughtfully composed shots and lighting that were very carefully directed by Jordan and Julie are invaluable to having the beautiful moments of the day preserved for years to come. As a visual person, I was most impressed with their story telling, they really understood and conveyed the theme and story I had in my mind of the day without every having to be told or spelled out for them. Their art direction, cinematography and ability to tell a story are as good as it gets!
