I told this office that I was traveling out of state and would be in town for one week to bring my…read moremom to doctor appointments. Made an appointment and scheduled the wheelchair transport. After some difficulty we made it to the practice only to be told at the desk that she would need to take antibiotics before her cleaning and could not be seen. Not sure why they didn't explain that before. We had to then sit there for one hour to wait for her chair car to return. I was told by receptionist that this happens sometimes and patients have to reschedule. If this continues to happen why wouldn't they screen before you walk into the door? Looking at other reviews it seems that not being seen by this dentist is a blessing in disguise. I will find another dentist that is caring and respectful to their patients.

He said to find Dr Kim and see her. THEY just screwed them up but see her? So, just so everyone is aware the old doctor is at Whitman family dental and is willing to see and care for their old patients. I was very impressed with everyone in the office, very professional, friendly and affable. The kind of people I would love to hang out with sometime! The office was very clean and all safety precautions were adhered to. I had a procedure today by Dr. Jason Safer and was very pleased with his demeanor and professionalism. I can honestly say that I did not feel a thing and was out of there in no time. I also met his father Dr. Theodore Safer as well as his mother Cheryl, what a wonderful family! Everyone knows how hard it is to find a good dentist or doctor for that matter. I seemed to have lucked out finding this practice and will not be going anywhere else:)

Now doing botox, fillers, periodontal work, orthodontics, and leaving the dental patients on the lurch. In order to see Dr. Garcia you must go on the days and times she is there. Doesnt work past a certain time, not in on Fridays and forget about the days when she was open on Saturdays. I'm sorry, but dont you own the place, isn't that your name on the door. You should be seeing your patients, not peddling them off on your over worked hygienists. Everyone of them has complained about that work environment to me over the years. Her brother "runs" the front office and he has certainly learned on the job. Horrible. Awful attitude and disposition towards patients and same for Elsa. You never know what Elsa you will get that day. If you go from being a cash patient to a patient with dental insurance, they instantly treat you like a second rate citizen and its completely uncalled for. Bond came off the next day and I went back and they rushed the job and it fell off again the next day. They fixed it the third time, but billed me for the addition visit. I called and they explained they don't use the term 'done incorrectly' and that additional fee was for another examination, which would have not been necessary had they done it right the first time. Thinking back on my experience with Mansfield Dental I also had gum surgery which felt rushed and cost 3k to have my gums still left exposed. This place is a machine to bill you and your insurance as much as possible, rather than prioritize the health of your teeth.

I showed up for a routine cleaning and was denied care because I declined X-rays--despite having them two years ago and knowing they're not required by MA law for a cleaning. I explained that I pay out of pocket and couldn't afford unnecessary extras, but the dentist brushed me off and told me to find another office. When I said I'd leave a review, another dentist arrogantly replied that he would just remove it. The issue wasn't just the policy--it was the blatant disrespect and lack of professionalism. Haidi, the employee who takes phone calls and works the front desk, is extremely rude, snarky,…read moreshort, and greedy. She constantly cuts me off and gives replies like "okay" and "bye." It is good dental practice to let patients know beforehand what the cost will be. However, Haidi does not give you any information beforehand and will try to overcharge you. You will not know that you are overcharged until your insurance claims come back; then, she will refuse to refund you. My total for root canal and crown was about $2400. I chose to get the root canal done, but not the crown, as I have warranty with my dentist back home. However, I had already paid a portion for the crown (root canal was about $300 total since it was covered by insurance, crown was about $2100 since it was not, I had paid $782 so far total). I asked for a refund for the crown because I cancelled my appointments and did not want it done here anymore. Haidi refused the refund, saying the doctor has already looked at my tooth and I "spent time in his chair." Haidi is constantly arguing with customers and putting them down. She makes them feel stupid for not understanding the insurance fully and asking questions about what they have to pay. She does not explain the pricing well, even though detailing the pricing/coding is literally her job. She also tries to get you to open a credit card and put your entire bill, including FUTURE costs, on there. I believe it is because she wants your entire bill to effectively go through the credit card company, instead of Great Woods Family Dentistry, so you would have no way to get the money you paid back. She wants to avoid situations like mine where the service was not rendered, but the customer wants a refund. I would stay away at all costs. Although Dr. Mistikawi is friendly and wants the best for you, dealing with Haidi in any shape, way, or form will make you want to pull your hair out.
