I am so appreciative of the perfect customer service @ Myrtle Creek Ray's Food Place. I was in need of a tea and couldn't find it in our area. In less than a minute I was given to the manager and she placed my tea on her order form. She's taken my info. and will let me know when it's in. That's what I like, quick and efficient service. Knowledgeable, pleasant, attentive service is not always the case these days. I think it's important to post the good things about business. read more

I went to use their recycle machines to properly dispose of my recycle trash and went to use a cart to move my recycle from car to machines. A checker came out of the store hotter than a curling iron, yelling at me I'm not allowed to use the cart for my recycle. I explained I had no idea, apologized, offered to clean the cart myself, and sarcastically thanked her for not being rude to me. She sarcastically thanked me for my cooperation (which made no sense as I did as she asked immediately). When I went in to cash out, the rude yelling clerk made direct eye contact with me from her register, then left her register and disappeared. I was unsure of where to cash in the recycle vouchers, so I wondered to customer service to ask where to cash out and another rude clerk, once again yelling at me, that if I want to cash the voucher I'll have to go to a register. Went to a register where there was a clerk nearby, and this 3rd clerk began chatting with the 1st who one who yelled at me about the cart use, and despite me trying to make small talk, nothing. This 3rd clerk never even looked at me directly and clearly ignored all attempts of mine to have any interaction, then left the measly $10 amount with my receipt on her counter and turned on her heel and left her check stand. It was difficult for my vertically challenged self to reach over the barrier and grab my cash, as I could not see the money with my eyes, I had to find it with my fingers. Produce is always yucky and almost or partially rotton, and the employees being so rude make the atmosphere in the store highly unpleasent. From the poor fresh food selection not smelling great to the sour faces of the employees, I strongly recommend anyone to shop ANYWHERE else. read more

The customer service is awful, no one wants to work or do their jobs, the environment is gross, people are super rude and their prices are so high for such little quantity. The bottle machine is always messed up and no one wants to ever fix it. I absolutely despise Ray's food place. I will never buy from this putrid place again. The workers are super sarcastic and look like they hate their jobs. Rays needs to find some better workers or have an owner to fire these lazy employees. read more

TRUST THOSE WHO YELP REGULARLY... The community has spoken... not much to say about this Ray's. Apparently they are employee owned, and the employees don't care. Hardly any nutritional items here; mostly processed and chemically modified foods. Look at the general population around this Ray's and you'll see the results of providing this type of food. I bought an organic Cantaloupe for $7.50 (YIKES!) and it was not even close to ripe. There were only 3 to choose from, and this seemed the best of the bunch. Unsatisfying to say the least. My mother has lived nearby for 18 years. I've shopped here many times for food, flowers (annually), water, gift cards, and miscellaneous other items... I can't recall EVER being "impressed." I'd recommend the drive to Safeway in Roseburg. read more

What a lousy business! Stay away from this dump. They are so EXTREMELY OVERPRICED and RUDE! Their produce is a joke. Even frozen foods are lacking somehow. I can't understand why frozen Stouffers Lasagna or frozen veggies would be bad, but I promise you, at Ray's they are. If you have any self respect and value your money then stay away. No concept of customer service. Ray's are always in small towns with limited options. And boy oh boy do they rape your pocket book. No good comes from this company. read more

Prices are way to high for no reason. You can go up to Salem to Winco and groceries for prices that are very reasonable. For example; you buy a loaf of bread at Ray's here in Myrtle Creek, it's like $2.18, but at Winco in Salem, you can buy a loaf of bread $1.74. The people are wonderful, but the prices are ridiculous. read more

Rotted produce, items priced wrong, employees that steal money, old food in the deli/bakery... it's hard to find produce that isn't rotted or molding. I bought strawberries and had to exchange them. The employee was rude and all the other strawberries had mold on them. I told an employee that was stocking and he could've cared less. Items are marked with wrong prices... watch closely as you get rang up and check your receipts! I was buying an item for $6 and got charged over $11. Happens all the time! Employees can be sneaky when handing your cash back... I went to the store super sick to get items for a common cold and soup. Handed the lady $40 and got my change(not counted) back. I went home and the next day I realized I was shorted $5. I check my receipt and she put it in that I gave her exact change. I didn't bother to go back or talk to anyone about it. She clearly did it on purpose. And what proof did I have? Cause she obviously pocketed it. The bakery is a joke... they either don't wash their hands or don't wear gloves. And never hair nets. And don't buy any hot food without asking how fresh it is. It usually gets cooked in the early hours and stays out all day... I went in at 530 and asked how fresh it was and got the response of "well, I got here at noon and it was out already.. so probably made before then." Really? Y'all don't have a time for when you place food out? It doesn't stay fresh all day... and their hot bar with Chinese food is nasty... the noodles and rice are usually hard as a rock looking. How does anyone think that's okay? How this store stays in business is beyond me... also, check the expiration dates on your food. Cause if you plan to pay $6 for a can of food you might as well get something that isn't expired!! After all the crappy experiences I've had, I've learned only to shop here when I'm absolutely desperate. Which is rare. I don't recommend it. read more
