Hi All - I have to tell you about Ray's Hauling located here locally in Pittsburg - I don't usually do this but I have to tell you I called him today about 1:20 p.m. (according to my phone) & he arrived & had the job done by 2:00 p.m. He removed all the palm fronds from my palm tees - aka pain in the gazoo!! (20-25) that fell profusely in my yard on this past Sunday - I was out front trying to cut them to fit in the bin on Sunday & while doing so about 10 or more so bombarded in the street in about 7 minutes from the trees - I gave up - my neighbor tried to film it but didn't get the chance - it was like I was in a cartoon gone bad - anyhow, I called Ray's Hauling (925) 594-0029 from the recommendations on NEXTDOOR in Pittsburg today & he was VERY NICE, said he was in my area between jobs & would stop by for an estimate. He gave me an estimate which was amazing & I had him do the job - there were about 25+ palm fronds & about 8 bags of leaves in my yard- he took care of it all for SUCH A REASONABLE price I was shocked!! I had a fantastic experience with Ray's Hauling and cannot recommend them enough! From the start, Ray was incredibly professional and responsive. I simply sent him pictures of what I needed hauled and he provided a quote immediately after reviewing the items, which made the beginning of the process so easy. The communication was top-notch throughout. He texted the day before to confirm our appointment and sent another update about 30 minutes before he arrived. Once he was on-site, Ray worked quickly and was surprisingly quiet while hauling everything away. The entire pickup took only about 30 minutes. He was also very accommodating when we had to add a few last minute items and he did not ask for add extra charge to take them. What truly set this experience apart was Ray's kindness and patience. My four-year-old niece was very curious about his truck and tools and what he was doing. Ray actually took the time to talk to her, pointing out his tools and equipment and explaining what they were all for. He even laughed good-naturedly when she kept pointing out an item that accidentally fell while he was moving things around. His pricing is very competitive (I shopped around quite a bit) and the service was truly unbeatable. I know I will reach out to him again should I need junk removal service in the future. Im ashamed to say that my backyard was pretty much a disgusting wreck: beer bottles, ash, filthy carpets, a BBQ pit filled with water, old soil, debris, broken patio set, a dead rat, etc. It seriously looked like a set from a crack or trap house. I hesitated calling Ray because quite frankly I felt that no living human (save for my upstairs neighbor, sorry!) should see this mess. I made an appointment with Ray on a Friday evening (received a quote after sending pics) and he showed up at my door bright and early on Saturday morning. He was very professional, personable, quick and efficient. He hauled away a bunch off stuff and the price was extremely fair. I would post photos of the before and after however A) My landlord would probably murder me if she saw what the yard looked like, and B) I refuse to be publicly shamed. At any rate, this guy is great and I was surprised he was able to finish in under an hour all by himself; impressive! P.S. After my mom passed away, I had to prepare her house in Brentwood for sale - which meant I had to arrange for hauling services from across the country and on a very tight deadline. I searched online and found Rays - and after reading his positive reviews decided to contact him. I sent him a brief text message with a photo of the pile in the garage and asked how soon he would be available and for how much. He responded right away, quoted a very reasonable price and was available the next day! I had to coordinate with friends to be there to open up, so we actually had to reschedule. Ray was flexible and pleasant. He contacted me when the job was done (quick!) so I followed up with my friends. They said he contacted them when he was on his way, he was very nice and loaded everything in his trailer. I was relieved that all went well, and was also happy to be able to pay him using PayPal. 5-stars doesn't adequately describe my level of satisfaction from the service I received from Ray and Ray! From the initial phone call to the completion of the haul, these two provided stellar customer service. They deserve 10 stars! Yesterday evening I located their contact information on Craiglist. I text them to find out the price estimate to haul away and dispose of an inoperable hot tub that I've had sitting in my backyard for just shy of 5 years. Not only were they incredibly responsive, they were impressively prompt: they arrived at my home this morning (yes, on a Sunday) at the VERY time they said they would...These days, I find that to be a rare but much needed quality. We are moving across country and realized we either needed to make 10+ dump runs, or order one of those drop off dumpsters. I found Ray's information on Instagram and hit him up. He responded immediately and provided all the information we needed. He was very clear on how it worked, pricing, etc. He answered all my crazy questions, and was ready for more questions if I had them. He was very quick (dropped off the very next morning), and picked up as soon as I text him letting him know we were done. His service was worth every penny! We had tons of yard work bags (40 to be exact), some furniture (couch, dresser, etc), and some odds and ends stuff we had accumulated over time. Recently moved out of our place in Brentwood, CA and needed a dumpster to throw away items we accumulated over the years. I found Rays online and couldn't be more happier with the service. Rays hauling gets five star, from john & Sherie as we were once again very happy on all fronts!!!! 1). Right on time with our set appointment. 2). Very fair price for the service provided. 3). No hidden charges or surprises and most impressive is his attitude, he is just a really nice guy or maybe he just really loves his job. This is the second we used Rays service on a job we had gutting out an old house in Lafayette. He hauled off what seamed like a mountain of trash, old forgotten junk and construction debris. I will always and forever call Ray when I have any hauling needs. He was fast, he was flexible with my schedule even when I repeatedly changed my appointment time, and was fairly priced. To be fair, I dont really know what "fairly priced" for hauling and dumping really is, but the cost was about what I thought it would be for the massive amount of crap I had, and I didnt flinch when he quoted me an amount, so as far as Im concerned he was very very well priced. He even worked with me when I was a little short (but dont try that, he's already going to do a great job for a great price, so dont short him his money!). I highly recommend using Ray's Hauling. I called him day of, got the quote (best of Craiglist listings I called) and set a time for pick-up. He called about an hour before hand to let me know he was on his way, showed up 5 minutes early, and got the job done in just a few minutes. The initial job was to pick up a junked golf cart, but, after going through the garage to get the golf cart out, I noticed a couple more large items I needed to get ride of. Ray happily loaded the rest of the junk with no questions asked. He ended up taking a golf cart, ping-pong table, barbecue, and fire pit. I had to write and give Ray a phenomenal review for his quick prompt and excellent services ! Called him early this morning and explained that we needed a pick up before 11:00 AM he told me he would be here before then which was great because we had realtors coming to our house to take photos and what not. If it was not for him we would not of had everything in order for coming out last minute! Then he also went to a friend of mine's house ended a pick up for her as well. Ray (and Ray!) were exceptional! Such nice guys! I called late in the afternoon yesterday, for a dump run/clean out of my elderly Aunt's room at an assisted living facility. Ray answered the phone right away and we arranged a time for today. He was right on time and it was done so quick! The two of them were speedy, efficient and really helpful and the price was great! I was picking up loose ends and Ray came back with a garbage can for me and then we were done! I turned in the keys and will get our deposit back! WOW! I received the quickest reply to my email request for an estimate I could ever imagine, on a Sunday morning no less. Ray gave a reasonable estimate for a sofa/loveseat pick up. Responded promptly to my email and call. Agreed to pick up SAME DAY (Sunday) and did so within an hour and a half, as agreed. Ray and his partner were both extremely professional, super fast (in and out in less than 10 minutes) and had a moment to spare for conversation about my Husky puppy and the stress I felt about getting those raggedy sofas out before my new sofa arrived. Every family has a pack rat. Sometimes more than one. But when the pack rat finally agrees to get rid of some of the junk, DON'T WAIT! Call Rays Hauling before your pack rat changes their mind. Ray was amazing. Great communicator! He texted me back immediately with a price range quote as soon as I texted a picture of the pile of junk. He arrived at my house, the same day, right on time. He and another gentleman (also named Ray) were professional, honest, friendly, efficient and did a beautiful job loading all the pack rat's junk into their trailer and cleaned up the area perfectly with a rake and broom. We contacted Ray to see if he could pick up a mix of junk, from scrap wood to a sofa. he texted back quickly indicating he could come that same day as we were hoping for. He asked for us to text him some photos of the items to pick up. I did and he quickly texted back a reasonable quote and gave us a time for later that day. He called to see if he could actually come earlier, which was fine and showed up on time. When he saw the load he indicated the estimate was too high and he reduced it without even being asked. Fast, Efficient, Flexible and Fair (6 Stars) Mother's Day weekend 2017, my gift was to clean out my mom's garage. I had planned to rent a dumpster but they wanted me to sign forms, pay in advance, give them my driver's license etc. Ray only needed a picture of the debris pile to provide a quote. He arrived shortly after I texted him the address. In less than 30 minutes he loaded everything up, swept the general area clean and was gone. Ray's Hauling was everything I needed and more.
