We've stayed at Deer Creek Inn and Winery about once a year since 2021, when I first discovered it shortly after the pandemic. At that time, it felt like a true bed-and-breakfast experience with thoughtful personal touches (guests were welcomed with a bottle of wine, breakfast was full and clearly made with care, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and attentive). Over the past couple of years, especially since the addition of their second location, I've noticed some changes in the overall experience. The level of personal interaction feels more limited than it used to, and check-in and general hospitality have become more minimal. I do understand how difficult it can be to find and retain good staff in the hospitality industry, and I appreciate the effort that goes into running a business like this. The biggest change for me has been the food and dining experience. They are no longer offering a bottle of wine in the room, but a glass of wine ordered at the bar. Breakfast, which used to be a real highlight is now much more basic and doesn't feel as thoughtfully prepared as it once did. Pricing has also increased, while the overall food offerings have decreased in both variety and quality. One of our favorite extras used to be the charcuterie platter for two, which we would order one each stay and enjoy in our room. We've stopped ordering it because both the portion size and product quality no longer felt consistent with the price or with our earlier experiences. Overall, I still like Deer Creek Inn, our favorite rooms are the Brooks Deluxe Suite and the Celebration room. We will continue to visit occasionally, but it no longer has quite the same special feel it once did for us, so I won't be going as often as I used to. read more

First time here. It's a great place. Staff is friendly. The breakfast is phenomenal! You can taste the wines before you buy. Live music was good. Too bad it was very cold-53 with occasional showers. The room is beautifully decorated-we stayed in "Winter in Paris" several downfalls are that the spiders the bed was not comfortable (We sleep on firm mattresses) and it was freezing-turned temp up to 75. My husband and I recently went on a 2 night stay to this winery and inn. Very charming atmosphere and friendly service. They have u fill out a menu selection for breakfast and dinner with the time slot of your choice. Very good idea. Upon arriving at your table y Your greeted with a slate sign with your name and room number on it. Very cute. The room we stayed in was the deluxe with a king sized bed and jacuzzi. A couch with a tv and a fireplace. A little Kitchenette with a Keric coffee maker. Since it was my husbands birthday a few days prior they had a cake with happy birthday waiting for us on the counter and a bottle of wine, all very nice! We had ants on the counter which we killed and cleaned up and the toilet seat had no bolt so it was free flowing when I sat on it. We told them and the toilet was fixed immediately. But not the any situation. After a day I noticed they were back, maybe 3 to 5 Anya I killed, no big deal. But they didn't address it. They don't come into give u clean towels or make the bed. The outside area was vey nice with fire pits around and adarondac furniture at one pit. There was table and chairs under the roof and a band stand. We took a drive the second day we were there but there was really nothing to do. It's beautiful country there but no recreational places. It was a place to go and truly relax. Maybe if we had booked later in the week there would of been more people, we only saw about 3 couples during our stay. All and all it was a very cute place and I loved that they have accommodations for a private party or wedding. We most likely will not go back because it was a 4&1/2 he drive for us with little to do. Glad we experienced it though and we thanked the kids for the very nice gift for us as it was a Christmas gift. read more

We had a truly excellent stay at this inn. We stayed in the Vintner room, which is very charming and spacious, has some fun wine barrel furniture, plush carpeting, a soft king-size bed, and most importantly a hot tub! The staff were all wonderful, whether they were helping us explore their wine tasting upon check-in, or serving us a tasty breakfast out on one of their many patios. They had just finished dealing with a very large wedding and reception prior to our arrival, but managed to have plenty of patience left for us. The wines here run on the sweeter side, being in fact a little sweet for our tastes, but that didn't stop us from enjoying a bottle of one of their drier reds that's included in this very reasonably-priced package. Overall, if your journey takes you anywhere near this winery and inn, I highly recommend stopping through and staying! read more

Delightful, clean, gracious hosts, beautiful decor, serene setting. The owners Rhonda and Scott were very welcoming, friendly and hospitable. All at a great bargain especially since breakfast is included, and a bottle of wine awaits you in your room. The quaint little shop has nice gift ideas including their own wines, olive oils and vinegars. The Inn is only three years old and very clean and inviting. We were very happy to discover this gem, and not stay at our usual chain motel off Interstate 80. We will definitely be back. read more

We enjoyed this winery for their food, wines and oils. We purchased seven bottles including the sangrias, fredonia, sparkling white, shippenville red and a few others. The oils were just as good ranging from your basic olive oil to specialty oils like avocado, walnut and truffle. We chose the lemon olive oil, wild rosemary and cilantro with garlic (my fav). This business also happens to be the only place I can get signal since we left our lodge in cook forest. We ordered buffalo flat bread and bruschetta for lunch which were very very good. They make the buffalo sauce is made in house which is so tangy and not too spicy. I will definitely be visiting them again!! They also have live music here on the weekends from a local artist who lives just around the corner. I would have loved to have been there for that but unfortunately we went here on a Tuesday. Next time hopefully we can come during the weekend! read more

We stopped in on Saturday night after visiting family in Oil City and seeing on Explore Venango that there was a live band. Let me just say...Wow. This place is beautiful. The staff is friendly. The appetizer we got was delicious. We were just going to order a glass of wine while we listened to the band Derailed, we ended up buying a bottle it was delicious. The band was absolutely great. It was raining that night but if it wasn't the outside area was so inviting with the fire pit and pretty sitting area. We are definitely going to have to make a trip every time we head to PA. read more

Wow! What a gem in the middle of nowhere. My wife and I stayed two nights for our anniversary and we were so spoiled. Everything about this place is fantastic. From the complimentary bottle of wine, to the jacuzzi tub, to the selection of coffee in the kitchen. And everyone we met were so pleasent. You have to come here. The entire staff was friendly, highly skilled, and most accommodating. The food was delicious. The wines are of high quality and flavor. This is one of the cleanest facilities though out. Loved everything about this place! From the decor to the staff, wines, and vinegars. Went there for spring fest and they had a lot of different specials plus a live band. Which they were very good. They had sangria as a special and they were very tasty.. we moved from there to sampling the wines. It's great to see every staff member know what they are discussing when it came to every wine we tried. We ended up taking 6 bottles home plus a honey ginger vinegar which I put on salads and it's so GOOD! We finished off the day by bottling our own wine. My wife and I just spent three nights there and I have to say I have never had a more relaxing experience. The inn itself is spotless with beautiful rooms and places to sit inside and out. The hot tub in the rooms are great and the wines are very good and very reasonably priced. We had breakfast every morning which was included in the package deal we had and they were delicious. Dinner was also very good. We went out to another place for dinner one night and both agreed we should have stayed and had dinner here. There is much more to this place than I am even talking about. I stopped by for a glass of wine with the fiance today and had an even greater experience than expected! We had a great wine tasting session with Liz, who was very knowledgeable and patient with our own somewhat amateur wine expertise. We chose the blackberry wine, flavorful and semi-sweet, and a unique platter of toasted baguette slices, pickled vegetables, and smoked cheddar cheese. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was so calm and enjoyable. The manager, Megan, came to our table and introduced herself, offering a tour of the Inn. Sheila showed us around and we were amazed. Every room of the inn is intricately designed and has its own theme and personality. Sheila told us that she herself helped work on the drywall. It was clear that so much work had gone into the Inn. It is a little secluded in terms of location, which actually is perfect for those looking for some alone time like my fiance and I were. We left with wine, olive oil, and vinegar to take home, and will definitely be planning a stay here in the future! read more

The Inn at Deer Creek--what can I say? Super nice, super elegant, super clean, super convenient. It's just a couple of miles off of I-80 and has really pretty areas to walk. My room, Spring in Spain, was huge! I had a very comfortable queen size bed, an awesome jacuzzi, a nice couch with a tv (with great cable), a small desk (great wifi!) and refrigerator, and a very nice, clean bathroom. The room itself had every little thing taken care of--a make-up washcloth, nice toiletries, all was super clean. There are lots of common spaces--I used some of these to work during my stay. The winery and café are attached, but you cannot hear them from your room. I did a free tasting of 6 wines. The only drawback is that they refrigerate red wines, but the cabernet franc is amazing, and so are the white wines (I like dry wines)! I ordered dinner in the café--a pickle pizza for $10 that was highly recommended. It was amazing! I got a free bottle of wine with my room, which I upgraded to a white for $3. I also bought beer in the café, as well as spiced pretzels and dessert. Everything was very fairly priced. They had a live band and it was great! In the morning, I got coffee from the carafe and from the Keurig. I also had an amazing breakfast on the porch, which included a yogurt and fruit appetizer, an egg casserole, a mimosa, and coffee (this is all included in the price!). I watched the birds and chipmunks while I ate. Throughout, the service was impeccable! I will definitely be back! read more

Great place! Great wine! Always enjoy it at deer creek. The only thing that bothers me is when you order cheese with your wine, they literally give you a knife to cut it yourself. Mind you, the cheese is also sealed in plastic..so you have to open that too. Also they serve it with oil and vinegar (which we love!) but last time they just gave me plain oil. We did not enjoy that. Lastly..the bread they gave us was not even cut the whole way through..like here a loaf of bread, cut it...it was a mess. it just like here..fend for yourself. It feels like you're inconvenient, like they don't have time to deal with your food. Everyone I been with there has been annoyed with the same thing...Like I said, love the place. Spent an overnight at the inn, though the atmosphere is very nice, the wines tend to be sweet, if your looking for dryer wines this is not the place. A couple of the whites were okay, but nothing in red. The food was more cafeteria, than fine dining. The other thing I definitely didn't like was they want to know in advance what time you are dining and they rush your dinner, if your not ready it will be cold. The breakfast wasn't for me, I tried it and left it, staff did ask if I wanted something else. read more
