I like that this laundromat opens early. The machines are not always operable and when you're the last one who attempts to use it and report the problem, they are not responsible.. therefore, you lose your money. How is a broken machine the customer's error? The girl who works weekends is rude and likes to talk down on you. Everything is the customer's fault. I don't know what some people expect from laundromats. Its a public place used by hundred of people on a daily basis that come from all walks of life. If you don't like it you could buy a house and get your own laundry machine and dryer. I have been a customer here on and off for 10 years. It is a family business. The family is a good respectable family. The prices are fair. Most of the machines are brand new or only a few years old. Don't get me wrong, there are a few super capacity machines that are probably 20 plus years old. There is a small cafe attached to the laundromat. This is nice if you do your laundromat in the morning, you can get a breakfast and a coffee. They also have burgers, hotdogs, fries, mozz sticks, etc. Prices are good. The quality is good. I think the cleanliness in this establishment is fine. Don't believe everything you read. read more

Dropped my clothes off with ample time to be done before closing on NYE was told they'd call when done and never received a call had to call on new years and they were like it's done. They told me they'd call so I could have someone pick up my clothes that day before now I'm working a 16 hour shift at work in dirty clothes because of their lack of communication and terrible service by the woman working. Very rude and disrespectful, she rushed me when I dropped off my clothes I paid first which I'll never do again. Demanded a refund and now they don't want to respond. Well I have been to several Breakfast places in the local area...all good but Ray's a Laundromat different. On Thursday's for example in the morning there are at least a dozen WWII -Korean Veteran's that go there in the AM for coffee and to enjoy there time together and talking about back in the day. Buddy Alves which many of West Warwick knows is one of them, along with others which some would know. Frank Ventura, (Ventura Fence) as well as Paul Petrozzi (Valley Fuel) as well as others is considered the 1st shift getting there at 6 AM..... They have a crew of employees all friendly and helpful. I go daily Frank "the Barber" Marabello (former owner of MarDin, now semi retired going in a couple of days a week at Petrocelli's - looking for a good cup of coffee thats refilled with no extra charge.....its #1 The Menu isn't big but its the basic which most eat to start there day. It also gives a spot for those doing their laundry to relax, read a book, talk with others or play the lottery. So unlike others in the area, the menu might be bigger but not as comfortable. Frank A. I used to go here due to its proximity to my parents' homes. This place is a breeding ground for the scariest walks of life from West Warwick/Artic. I'm sorry, the place is not really all that clean and it usually smells sort of like propane or gas, especially when the majority of the dryers are running. I have had issues with several machines being out of order, and after they ate my money or failed to work for me, I was told by the older woman who is usually there in the evening that "If you were a regular, you would know that machine doesn't work" Now, there are several issues with that statement, I went there weekly for years, I was a regular, did I not appear to be because I came in to do laundry while actually dressed appropriately? Furthermore, wouldn't it make more sense and be easier to put a sign on the machine, rather than having to be approached once someone attempted to use it? I've also been asked by children for quarters for the vending machines because their moms don't have any quarters (um, at a laundromat?) Seating is sort of sparse and there are always people hanging out in the dinette portion, many aren't even there to do laundry. Price are excellent for the machines though. read more

I have been coming here for years. Almost 30 years to be exact. I've seen this place go from a nice clean well taken care of laundramat, to a dumpy dirty place. Most of the machines won't take quarters and you have to put them in, sometimes 3 to 4 times before the machine will take it. The ceiling is rotted out from water damage. There are DEAD plants in the window. It's gone way downhill and they really need to fix this stuff because it looks dumpy. On the upside, it is very inexpensive to wash and dry. Much cheaper than most. And there is a little restaurant that serves good food. I will continue to go there because I know the place and I know which machines work and don't work. Very dirty, owner is awesome tho, some staff can be rude ...like the owners mother. A machine didn't wash my clothes they were barely wet, I told her and she was acting like I was trying to scam her out of $2.50 lol Other than that most staff is nice, the place could be cleaner tho. read more

This only good thing about this place are the prices. I sat here for the first time today instead of running errands, and to my dismay, the washer didn't release any of my laundry detergent. There were no soap suds at all. I didn't bother saying anything because in the past when a dryer wasn't working correctly, or at all, one of the employees told me it was my fault, if I hadn't put so much in, then maybe my clothes would be dry. I showed her that the other dryer I had used was completely dry, and that it actually had more clothes than the one I was having an issue with. She didn't even give me the full amount back that I had originally put into their machine. I had to actually come back in and add an additional two quarters. The bottom line is, the place is cheap because it's terribly dirty, you have to guess which machine will work properly, and the staff is rude as well. The convenience isn't worth the poor quality anymore. read more

I've been coming here since I moved to West Warwick in September simply because it has been the closest. Now I have become fed up enough with this place to vow to never return The prices and quality of the establishment are pretty much par-for-the-course as far as laundromats go. Some of the machines are dated and the performance of the machines may be hit-or-miss. Some dryers may not dry fully, some dryers may act like they're on high even though they are on medium. The tile floors are always gross, even after mopping, to the point where I fear that any laundry dropped will probably have to be re-washed. That is, if they don't drop into the trail of the leaking washers. The diner prices appear normal for a greasy-spoon, but I wouldn't even touch a bottled water in this place. The price of full-service appears to be on par, but as I'll explain below, I would barely trust these people with a plastic spoon, let alone my clothes. The staff here is what really earns it a one-star rating. Imagine if Gilmore Girls did a cross-over with High School Musical and it was on Cinemax. I do not consider myself a prude, by any means, but the banter that goes on with these people is simply not appropriate for anybody in public, especially for people who are making an (albeit probably small) wage. In one night, I have heard more f-bombs than that episode of South Park where they had a counter for how many times they could say it. I've heard the word "Dick" more than you would in a 4-hour documentary about our former Vice President. I've heard talk of skeevy ex-boyfriends, gynecological exams, and how much of a 'ho' their "friends" are. I've heard complaints of working under-the-table (I couldn't imagine why people would complain about *not* paying taxes, especially loud enough for everyone to hear about a practice that is commonly known to be illegal). When they are not chatting it up about the most obnoxious of topics, you can be sure that they will be blasting the most annoying hip-hop garbage I have ever heard. That is, of course, if you can tell the staff apart from the people waiting for their laundry. They all look like they're not doing anything. There's one girl who you know is employed there simply because she is the one gossiping from behind the counter, however good luck getting her attention away from the phone call she WILL be on. The most obvious way to tell they work there is that they don't look old enough to drive. Really, these people are likely the reason why West Warwick has such a poor reputation. Having lived in Woonsocket and now West Warwick, I can say that I have never even met people of this caliber in my former town, and everyone in RI thinks Woonsocket is the scummiest of the scum. I imagine that this is the type of help you can only get if you only hire within your family...and you also only breed within your family. In short, if you are nostalgic for high school drama, this may be a great place for you to wash your clothes. If you feel like 5 years in the Navy didn't expose you to enough profanity, this might be a nice place to do laundry. I hope that someone from this place reads this review and shapes up their act, but that is placing too much faith in the idea that they know how to read. read more

Pretty dirty and the staff is rude and not helpful. Was there on a Sunday night and there were girls hanging out with the girl working behind counter. They were doing nothing but socializing and on their phones. Paid no attention to customers. They were so rude and unprofessional I felt uncomfortable and went onto the laundry side to sit. Employee was working with food and her hair was down. Have seen the owner before and he is pretty cocky. read more
