Mind you mine was brand new without any grass buildup on it or anything . At the very least, they could've put the brand new head (that they handed me back in the bag) back on the used one they sold me. Just feel like I could've been treated better. Pros: Rock bottom generator pricing!…read more Cons: You get what you pay for with Colorado Standby. They sent me an email with instructions on receiving and inspecting a freight shipment, so I thought they were legitimate. But it turns out that "free shipping" means my very expensive new generator was shipped via Fedex ground protected only by a cardboard box. And when it inevitably showed up damaged, CO Standby refused to file a damage claim with the shipper, refused to file a warranty claim with Cummins, refused to send me a replacement for the broken part, and even refused to look up the part number for the damaged component so that I could replace it myself. They said my only options were to drive 200 miles to a real Cummins dealer or to ship the generator back at my own expense. I would not do business with them unless you can pick up your generator in person, and keep in mind that if anything goes wrong, they will leave you out in the cold, and you will need to find a real Cummins dealer if you need parts or service.
