This place has taken a HUGE nosedive in every way in the past few years!! I recently had a spinal cord stimulator implanted, and it has been one nightmare after another trying to get MRI's done through Rayus. They don't bother to tell people what ALL the specific requirements are for the stimulator. Twice now, I've waited weeks for an appointment--because they only have a few MRI machines that are compatible with the stimulator, AND no evening appointments are available, because they require that a tech be present. Then, after going to said appointment --that I waited weeks for-- was told they couldn't do the MRI, because the device wasn't charged to a high enough level!! Which was not conveyed AT ALL when the appointment was made!! The device was charged enough to connect with the battery!!!This is the SECOND time I've been told they couldn't do the imaging, and would have to make another appointment!! AND, when I checked in, the receptionist told me that they needed to scan my License and insurance card, because they didn't have that information for this year. I was JUST at Rayus for another imaging test TWO WEEKS ago!! WTH?!?!?!? Are they honestly telling me that their computer systems don't communicate at all?!??? I have utilized Rayus for all my imaging needs for the past 40 years, even REALLY back when they were CDI, but the past few years, everything about this company has deteriorated a LOT! This is the address for the Rayus Headquarters and this review is solely based on the companies administration. My doctor requested and MRI in February. I had previous scans at Diagnostic Centers of America and Rayus recently bought DCA. I called on February 13 and spoke with a nice woman, who set the appointment for February 28. On February 27 at 4:16pm I got a text to reschedule the appointment. I called the number, and I was put on the never-ending hold until the call dropped. Florida Blue showed they didn't even request approval until 2/26. The appointment was rescheduled for 3/8. On 3/7 they still did not have approval for the MRI so I called Florida Blue and I actually got the approval code. Maybe they should have paid me for doing the work? The MRI was done on 3/8. I received a pre-visit check in and needed to pay $496.95 before going to the facility. The West Boca Location is fabulous. Staff is excellent and thankfully, the technician mentioned that I should get a copy of the scan before I leave. My doctor NEVER received the scans. I received the results on the portal 2 days later, but the doctor never got them. I called Rayus 3 times. 1st time was told a disc would be sent to the doctor. 2nd time they told me they don't send the doctor the results and I could download the scans and email them to the doctor, and the 3rd time, I got a voice mail, left a message that was NEVER returned. Fast forward to 4/15. I got an invoice from Rayus for $402.66 with no record of the original payment of $496.95. I called 4/17 and reached Sharise. She said the payment posted on 4/10 (1 month later?) and I had a credit balance. She was supposed to email me a copy of the new invoice that day, but I NEVER received it. I checked my account today 4/27 and guess what...no payment posted, and there's still an outstanding balance. Spoke with Jackie today, she said she could see the payment, but it hasn't been posted to the invoice. What?? This is a poor way to do business. Get your act together...You're dealing with people's health. When I see things like this, especially billing issues, It just raises so many red flags. read more

Terrible experience. Had a 7:45 appointment, so I should have been the first person seen. I wasn't brought back until 8:18. When I questioned it, I was told that was a check-in time not my appointment. When I showed them the text that said my appointment was 7:45 I was told this has been an ongoing issue and management knows about it. I then found out my appointment really isn't until 9:00. Horrified at how they treated my 9 year old child for his knee MRI. They were informed ahead of time that my son had a new diagnosis of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (along with a broken patella) and that the scan would be tricky due to extreme 10/10 pain due to this condition. They did not respect my wishes or listen to me, they rushed us, yelled at me, wouldn't let me help him as he's sobbing in pain from them doing exactly what I asked them not to do, and were unwilling to give me staff and manager names until I asked multiple times. They did not take the time to explain anything to him, or ask him at any point during the scan how he was doing. After the scan the staff didn't even walk my son (who is on crutches) back to the waiting room. They literally left him in the middle of the hallway by himself sobbing and said nothing to me. What a horrible experience! I didn't like them the 1st time I went in for X-rays because of the rude staff but I decided to give them a second chance for my 20 week ultrasound which I was super excited for! Checked in at 7:50 just to be told at 8:20 that someone called off & they couldn't find anyone else to do the ultrasound.. wasted my time and also just ruined my excited mood. One year ago today my life became forever changed. The incompetence of RAYUS Radiology is credited for that change. My yearly physical and an abnormality in my eyes, resulted in a Brain scan at RAYUS. At my appt. I did a great deal of paperwork, had an IV placed in my arm for Contrast and then met my technician. A man of few words positioned me on the table, connected the necessary equipment for my MRI. Shortly after starting he was calling to me telling me to "quit moving," because I was causing blurred pictures. I told him I was not moving and that my head seemed to be vibrating. He came out, stuck a pillow on each side of my head and completed my scan. I had barely started my drive home, when the most awful hissing sound started in my ears. It remained, so the next day I contacted my Health Insurance Nurse and learned the meaning of the word "Tinnitus." She assured me it was most likely temporary caused by the loud noise produced by the MRI scanner. It was intermittent for the next 24-48 hours so my concern decreased. Many people have experienced the simple ringing in their ears at one time or another. I won't discuss all the research I have done for the past year, but have pretty much learned the cause of my problems. A technician handing you two spongy ear plugs and stating, "Put these in your ears." is not enough...Especially with the closeness to one's ears to the machine, when receiving a Brain scan. I have learned if your Tinnitus is still active after several months, it will most likely remain for the rest of your life. There is no cure! A lot of my learning has come from the NIH, ENT Health.org, Radiology Info.org, MRI Safety.org, The American Tinnitus Association and so much more. I learned the proper use of hearing protection may be the answer to remaining Tinnitus free for life. Technologists need to educate patients on how to use earplugs correctly. Providers need to do more than just making hearing protection available. My Tinnitus is accompanied with constant headaches, head tremors, dizziness and concerning vertigo. I live alone, will be 80 this year and the Tinnitus is worse at night. The vertigo is dangerous if I have to get up during the night. I have seen an Audiologist, have to make co-pays and he has referred me to a therapist to assist me in how to live with these issues. I asked him why my Vertigo is present when I get out of my car and he said it may be because I have been in "motion!" There is a proper way to form the spongy earplugs and so simple it would be to share the process with patients. I guess I have one thing going for me...Closing in on 80 years of age, hopefully I will not have to live like this for too long. It is unbelievable how LOUD and constant this is and it NEVER lets up... read more

Rayus is the absolute worst company to deal with. A lot of people are in pain and we are left waiting way past our scheduled time The worst part is their billing. I had a payment arrangement with them monthly but our post office (Prior Lake)is the worst most incompetent post office, and for some reason they sent back a statement which then Rayus decided to send me over to collections. I talked to someone a couple weeks ago and told him I would make payments I had just paid Rayus my agreed upon payment but they broke it. So collections called me again for payment. I am in so much medical debt for my injuries I paid them off and sadly will not to be able to pay on other medical bills for the month but for my mental health I had to get rid of them. This isn't the first time it's happened with them. I absolutely refuse to ever go to them again. read more

Today I sat with the surgeon, 2 MRI's from 1/2024 on screen. Her exact words were,"Did you do a seated MRI because they're very blurry."

This is strictly based on their horrible BILLING SYSTEM. For the 2nd time I have received a "collection company" notice because of them and their awful billing system. If you are having multiple scans you may not know you have an "outstanding balance" elsewhere. Your account # shows one billing statement, you pay it on time every time, and then suddenly out of nowhere bill collectors are after you for unpaid balances. It's a sham system setting you up to fail. Be careful. I detest their billing practices!!!! read more

arrived at the St Louis park location for my 9:30 appointment. the doors were locked. several employees saw me trying to get in but walked away. I have spine damage and there was no where to sit. after calling several numbers I got ahold of someone in scheduling that stated this was the 3rd call she handled on this, just this morning alone. the person that came to the door said that they lock this door on weekend and that there was a hidden side door that is open. Why in the hell did no one mention this. There is no notice on the door or anywhere around indicating another door or any instruction. the employee were complacent when I talked to them. I asked to speak with whomever was in charge as this is not acceptable for folks with spine damage... which they would know as this is thier industry. they never got a manager or anyone in charge. I encourage anyone referred to this business from your doctors office to let your doctor know this option is unacceptable and schedule elsewhere. read more

I had a thyroid ultrasound here a few days ago and my experience was really good, especially relative to so many other specialty clinics. I assumed I'd have to wait a long time to get an appt., but the scheduler (who was super warm and friendly) found me something right away. Even though there were a lot of people in line, the front desk person was calm, warm, and efficient. My appointment started right on time. The ultrasound tech did a great job explaining the test to me, including what to expect afterwards in terms of results, and it was over in 10 minutes. I took off a star because my doctor sent in the referral and Rayus was supposed to call me. I ended up reaching out after 2 weeks. Honestly, though, oversights happen, and I could have called earlier. Also, the building exterior and interior are quite shabby. Even the parking lot and surrounding area are pretty grim. Not a huge deal in terms of quality of care, but visibly dirty carpet and a crumbling lot do send a bit of a message. They may be planning to fix that up. Overall a good experience when I was braced for specialty clinic shenanigans. read more

Yesterday, I had a MRI on my lower back. The past couple of months, I also had a MRI on my left shoulder and neck. So, I feel that I can give a pretty good insight on having MRI's done. Upon check in. You need to arrive 20 minutes early for paperwork. The check in process was efficient and met with a warm sincere smile. The office is inviting, large, and many magazines are provided to read while your waiting for your name to be called. I waited yesterday about 10 minutes to be called after my paperwork was filled out. I was led to the changing room where I was instructed to put on the " very attractive scrub pants that are about 5 sizes too large " You then have to sit and wait with a few others for your name to be called since there are approx. five different rooms that have the MRI equipment. This is the IMPORTANT part. 1 .After having the procedure explained to you and your given your headset, make sure you tell the tech to turn the music up louder then what they have it set to. I have no idea why this is not done automatically, but trust me, you cannot hear the music at all unless you have them turn the volume up quite a bit. At that time have them turn the station on that you desire. 2. If your claustrophobic, you will not enjoy having an MRI. The tech does give you a device that can be pushed if you need any assistance during the procedure, but it would only delay the inevitable, so I encourage you to try to get through it, keep your eyes closed and focused on the music. 3. When you are being moved inside the machine, it feels as though your inside of a shiny white coffin which is honestly pretty creepy. This is why it is so important to have your music set loud enough so you can focus on that without letting your mind wander. 4. The noise the scan makes is like a jackhammer, and immense pounding. In addition to the incredibly loud noise that it makes, you also feel the bumps and the machine lightly shaking. It is not uncomfortable, but it is an odd sensation in a very small space. Your instructed to remain perfectly still while inside. 5. The procedure lasts approx. 35 minutes. The MRI that I had on my neck and left shoulder were the worst due to being more closed in. You cannot see any light whatsoever. The scan on my lower back allowed me to see light toward my feet which was much more doable. Although, I am not a big fan of having MRI's done, I highly recommend CDI in St. Louis Park. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I observed them deal with a few patients who were being skittish about the process and they were gentle and encouraging. The check in process can't be beat, and the overall experience was enhanced due to the entire staffs professionalism. read more

I have used CDI for many procedures and have never been disappointed with any of the staff , either with their knowledge about the test that they are doing or their demeanor when I asked for them to explain something about the test. The only thing that I have been frustrated with is that I have never been able to make contact or be able to use their patient portal. read more

This location was just recently renovated and is a nice, clean, spacious center. It is home to the MLB players in town and has great staff. The seating area is large but both times I've been it has been very busy and though we arrive nearly 30 minutes early we always get seen about 15 minutes or more AFTER our scheduled arrival appointment time (when chasing a toddler, this is not ideal). The first visit included part time staff that was not sure how to use the machine and we therefore didn't get a photo of our baby and the second visit didn't include a photo - so that kind of stinks. However, the rooms are clean, the bathrooms are sterile and the staff seem friendly and knowledgable about their job so what more do you expect from an imaging center? read more

I have visited CDI many times for mammograms and various xrays/MRIs. It is easy to make appointments - the front desk staff is pleasant - they are 'on time' [I've never had to wait more than 2 minutes] and the technicians are kind and seem knowledgeable - they explain the procedures well and ask for questions. I would recommend CDI to anyone who needed these services. Also - they have some designated parking spots that are near the entrance. Great winter PLUS ++. read more

Dr Peter Busselberg gave me an injection in my back for leg and back pain. He offered no pain medication for the extremely painful injection. I found CDI after being referred to them by Tria. I needed lower back Cortisone injections for nerve pain and was able to schedule an appt at CDI much faster than at Tria. My first injection was at Tria. My 2nd & 3rd were both at CDI. The staff at CDI is very courteous and professional. Also, they insist you have a ride after your procedure. The great thing about CDI is they will pay for taxi service to and from your appt so you don't have to impose on friends/family during work hours. The only thing I have to say negative about both experiences, one @ Eden Prairie location and one @ St. Louis Pk, is the staff performing the injection is not empathetic at all. Both times the injection was painful enough that I couldn't help expressing my pain, LOUDLY. There were no words of compassion or empathy. I don't expect a medical team to hold my hand but when you're screaming in pain a little sympathy would be nice. I would go back again and recommend their service read more

I have had two MRI's there. One time I waited a little over an hour from my scheduled time for my name to be called and the second time I waited 25 minutes. I do understand that things don't always go as scheduled since scans sometimes have to be repeated if a person moves. I was able to get scheduled there quickly both times and also the staff is professional and friendly. I do highly recommend them. Just bring something to read while waiting and keep you schedule flexible in case you do have to wait a little longer. It's not the staff's fault if someone moves in the machine during a scan and needs to be repeated. read more

I have had two MRI's at the St. Louis Park location. Both images were 'hard to read' by my doctor and he thought the image quality was low. This surprised me since CDI is all about the MRI. I have no idea what leads to poor quality MRI's but I will look for a new MRI facility for the next one. read more

I had always received quality care with their imaging. A warning - I learned the hard way that the St. Louis Park, MN location does not use any form of numbing agent prior to administering a spinal steroid epidural injection. Feeling a needle travel more than half a foot through muscle before getting to the spine without any numbing agent ranks right up there with "most physically painful" experiences in life. FYI - this is not the standard of care that hospital affiliated centers use. You do not need to endure this level of pain for this procedure. Go someplace else. read more

I would like folks to know that if you are thinking of having a rhizotomy that there is a possibility that your results will be so insignificant that you may not be able to tell you had it. This is what happened to me even though I had the test injections prior to the procedure. Dr. Ecklund did the procedure and I am sure he is a great doctor, however in my case, I spent a lot of money for no pain relief at all. There is no difference now than prior to my rhizotomy in my lower back. When you have suffered from lower back pain for a long time, and you find out that there is a procedure that could help you at least temporarily, and you go through all the b.s. that the insurance company requires only to find out all it did was make your wallet lighter it is a huge bummer. read more

was sent to cdi from my hmo doctor whos office is close by so far in the last year and a half iv had an enhanced ct scans, ultra sound and an mri but at another location, was kidding mri tech about getting stuck in machine I have broad shoulders, well she eventually said I wouldn't fit so had to go to maple grove but the got me in quickly and conveniently for me. now for the biggies, I've had 3 steroid shots in both hips, two in right shoulder and one in left all in last 12 months, have had 3-4 different doctors do it I take who is in rotation and have no complaints read more
