Getting an appointment is very easy and depending on the test they usually have you in within 2-7 days in my experience. Check in can be done via your phone and allows you to walk in and go right to your appointment without any hassle. Every single time I've been here I have been seen on time and in and out quickly. This is great because it won't take up a huge chunk of your day waiting around to be seen. Techs have always been nice ad friendly as well as the check in ladies. I see there are some bad reviews here and honestly just don't get it. The medical field can be difficult folks, especially nowadays. Lots of staff turn over and over worked staff as well. This is coming from a person who both works in the feild and is also a frequent patient. But I can tell you from a boatload of experience if I had to pick a place for my testing this would be it!

If they gave them back to another patient they now have his home address, health insurance ID info. This is not only a potential for identity theft but seems to be a HIPPA violation as well! They don't even deserve one star but zero isn't an option.

Today was my initial radiation treatment (1/28) and my third visit to this facility. I have been…read moreimpressed by all the staff I've met to date. They're both kind and knowledgeable. Most important, they're all patient. I always come full of inquiries and they never seem annoyed and have answers to my numerous questions. The facility is extremely clean and the lobby is inviting with comfortable seating and an aquarium. Additionally, they offer free WiFi which is a nice benefit especially if you're trying to squeeze in some work when there. The radiation waiting area has a puzzle table. I confess I tapped into my inner nerd and surprisingly enjoyed this activity today. They also have some reading materials and ample seating. Dr. Shieh and his nurse Angie are great! The front desk gals have been outstanding and both therapists today - Kim and Riley are equally as wonderful. While I never would've volunteered for radiation, I'm so glad I'm undergoing treatment at GenesisCare with this amazing team.

Akumin is a medical imaging facility located in Wellington FL. It is one of many locations that…read morethis company has. This location has ok parking, and isn't hard to get to. They are incredibly disorganized with their staff not talking to each other. The employee that scheduled me looked up my insurance told me that I would have a $0 copay as my insurance was covered. So I made the appointment. Got there and they gave me my paperwork quickly and took my insurance card and license and tells me to sit down. Calls my name again and proceeds to tell me that my copay is $325. I've never had that copay in my life at a place like this, not even one out of network. I told her that there's no way and said the scheduler told me it would be $0. She said that they've been getting a lot of complaints about that from patients....yet they haven't fixed the issue? I told her that I don't even have to pay a copay of $250 a day when I'm Admitted to the hospital so that must be wrong. She said it's part of your deductible which I don't have unless it's an ambulance ride or I have to buy medical equipment. Finally I told them just to bill my insurance or I was walking out. They agreed after speaking with their manager. The scan I had was ok, but the nurse that I originally had stepped out for a lunch break and I got a new one. When I got the new one she didn't know I was there and I had to walk into the room where another person was on a conference call. The nurse then proceeded to do the scan while having a personal phone call with another employee on the phone. As a result I'm a bit worried that her split attention messed up the results/scan somehow. Usually with this scan you lay down for 4+ hours and get a scan every hour, but this facility does it differently. As a result I had to sit in an uncomfortable chair every hour I had to wait instead of lying down relaxing. Their AC was also out in the room I was in which is a health hazard as places like these (hospitals, doctors offices etc.) have to stay very cold to kill bacteria and viruses. TLDR: All in all the experience was terrible. The staff doesn't communicate with each other causing insurance info discrepancies and causing possible unwanted bills all while blaming the patient (I did look up my insurance online before and they did take it). Their medical staff rushes you and doesn't pay attention, all the while making you wait in uncomfortable places. I'm worried about the competency of their staff both medical and front desk. I would stay away from Akumin, but especially this location.

Hello, my name is Joseph Fierro an educator from New York City. I cannot say enough good things…read moreabout Dr. Dan Sperling and his team. Unfortunately, I was first diagnosed with cancer at a relatively young age and as you can imagine I was completely devastated. Two of the largest Cancer hospitals in the world as well as many other medical facilities explained to me that I had multiple tumors or lesions and due to my age I would have no choice but to have my prostate removed and at my age there was no way that I would have my prostate removed considering the horrifying implications that this would entail upon my social life and just my life in general. It was explained to me by multiple hospitals that due to my age being so young radiation would not be a viable option since it could lead to other forms of cancer down the road. Nevertheless, after speaking to multiple doctors a prosthamectomy or radiation was completely out of the question. So needless to say there's two things you do a lot more of when you're diagnosed with cancer, the first is pray and the other is research. It was a true miracle finding Dr. Dan Sperling and I'll never forget the first time we had spoken. He always remained optimistic and confident, two characteristics that I was desperately in need of in a doctor. He also seemed to be a true leader and pioneer with regards to his protocol in ablating prostate cancer. I've been now seeing Dr Sperling for over 11 years and I'm delighted and proud to say that after his procedure I have been cancer-free for well over 11 years and my PSA has been within the vicinity of 0.27 which he explained may fluctuate but always maintained beneath a 0.5. When I had cancer my PSA was approximately 4.7 or so and within a 2-year period spiked from 1.3 to the 4.7 mark requiring a biopsy. My advice to any man out there is not to waste your time and go somewhere else for your biopsy. It is best to go straight to Dr Sperling so he can begin to create a map of hope for your recovery. Every time I go see Dr Sperling for my follow-ups just seeing his face and the great members of his staff such as Nurse Lily, John the technician, and Samuel who were the initial members of his team that cared for me during my procedure and now all his new staff members on his team which have made a great addition, I recall as if it was yesterday, even though it was over 11 years ago the most devastating time of my life being diagnosed with cancer something we always think someone else may have but not me. That said, I have always been empathetic for others but now I've been so much more regarding this devastating disease and other diseases like it. At the same time whenever seeing Dr Sperling I am reminded of one of the most happiest moments in my life where some of the top hospitals in the world gave me no hope, Dr Sperling not only gave me hope but also provided me with what I believe to be my cure. I spoke to a very nice person on the phone who easily made me a 4 PM appointment for the very same day at the Rayus facility nearby on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard! She instructed me to be there about 3:30, and assured me that it was an easy test, and that I would most likely I be out by 4:15. I arrived at 3:30, and a very cordial and capable woman at the front desk assisted me with my check-in. I was called back at about 4:05 by the technician. He was also very friendly and reassuring. And I was indeed out by 415! Perhaps best of all, the results were at my doctors before the end of the day I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This location does a pretty good job handling it's clients. It's conveniently located, had a nice…read morewaiting area and the staff are friendly and helpful. BUT... The phone process of scheduling an appointment is the worst of any company I have ever experienced. The call center is hopelessly backed up with waits of greater than 10 minutes being the norm. The hold messages gives no indication of how long the wait is expected to be and for more than the past year has been playing a message that blames the delays on the transition to a new medical records system. Management should ALL be terminated for gross incompetence.
