WILL RIP YOU OFF - Here's my somewhat long story dealing with Razorback Tree Service. I first reached out in late summer (8 months ago) because a neighbor's tree was covering my back yard. I wanted the tree trimmed back to the fence line all the way up to the top of the tree. I was pleased that they came out that day. I was told they'd do half the work then if I paid them half, and they would come back in the fall and do the other half. I took the bait, paid them $250, and they removed some of the limbs. I finally got them to come back and finish the other half in December. They told me it would take about an hour and they really preferred cash so, I ran to the ATM and decided to grab some breakfast on my way back. They finished much quicker than expected, so I told them just to come by where I was eating, and I'd pay them which they did and I did. However, when I got home, there was still A LOT of the tree hanging over my yard. I had paid them to remove it all the way up which they assured me was no problem, but I'm not even sure what they did during that visit for which I paid another $250. They said they'd "make it right" but it has been over three months. I have texted many times, and they have only replied once when they told me they'd come and finish the job the following week because they had another job near me. Of course, they never called or showed. Since then, there is no answer to texts. Do NOT recommend. read more

My customer experience was phenomenal. I called about a tree that had fallen in my side yard and I had someone at my house within 10 minutes! The tree was removed and additional trees were thinned at my request, all within an hour. The work was top notch. The folks who did the work were skilled and friendly. All that and a very reasonable price, I highly recommend and will definitely call them again when the need arises! read more

The owner Sam arrived over 3 1/2 hours late. He admitted he got too messed up the night before. It was obvious he was high on pot. He didn't have fuel for his chainsaw, so I supplied the mixed gas. The chain came off on the 1st cut & while he was showing off in the bucket of the boom the chainsaw fell out, dropped to the ground & broke. He didn't have a spare saw or even a tool, I loaned him a chainsaw tool which he used to put the chain back on & get the saw back together, when he pulled the cord it didn't retract. He then realized it was broken & went home to get another saw. He returned over an hour 1/2 later, (he lives only a few minutes away). He refused to trim the tree as agreed upon when he gave the estimate, (when he gave the estimate he asked how much money I had, when I told him that had nothing to do with an estimate he explained he liked to know because he charged different prices for poor people). Later when he came down out of the bucket while he was rolling a joint I told him about 2 dead limbs he missed. He stated they were from another tree, which they weren't, he then said he couldn't see them, he then described them, then said he couldn't see them, asked me to go to the other side of the house to show him, which I refused, so he decided he could pull them down with a rope. He couldn't pull the lower one down by hand so he used my tractor, it came down through the electrical line that runs to my security light. He then realized he needed to use the boom/bucket to get the other limb & trimmed the end 3' instead of moving his truck to trim it from the trunk of the tree as should have been done as the entire limb is dead. I gave up. When he was up in the bucket he would extend it, moving it all around, far away from the tree & go on about how high he was, moving it one way saying he could see Lincoln & another way saying he could see his house. The man was stoned out of his mind. He even stated that Oklahoma medical pot was better than Arkansas medical pot & he mixed them with wax. The tree is trimmed & nothing damaged. I have no intentions of using this tree service again. Sam was arrogant, egotistical & high on pot,(by his own admission), while he was here. I was using a neighbor, supporting local business but I cannot recommend this service to anyone due to the experience I had with him. I hate giving bad reviews & won't unless I feel it necessary for future customers. I would like to think Sam is usually more responsible & that Razorback Tree Service is a good choice when Sam, the owner, is not under the influence of drugs, but that was not my experience. read more
