I like this credit union location because it has a 4 lane ATM drive thru. It is well-lit at night. Accessing it can be tricky. It's on the corner under a toll road, so north on the toll access road gets you in, as does traveling west on New Hope. read more

5 stars for everything but their on line banking. I'm surprised it's very plain. You can't get any useful information. Most banks you can get everything about your loan. Everything about a deposit or check, but not with UFCU. I want to move all of my families accounts to UFCU but don't like the online information availability like effective and 1nb of Tex. read more

Since the influx of new members during the recent boom in the Austin area UFCU has become another bank with a big bank attitude. Been with them for about ten years or more and the last four have been miserable. They completely lost their down home personal service and treat you like just another number and over the last year have been outrageous with their extra charges. They went from great to horrible. Have one loan payment left (used to do all my loans and business with them) and once it's paid we're gone. read more

This is the one of the locations that all the UFCU members hate. But they continue to operate it. Even though they know we hate it. I need some $50 bills. Nope no $50 bills here. But of course they'll remind you that their Lakeline location has tellers and during business hours they will be able to give you the denomination of US currency that you want. Guess what UFCU? What the hell is this? This is just a bunch of ATM's. I walked in to do something as simple as split a $20 bill, and they couldn't even do that. Both the people who worked there were at the mercy of these dumb machines standing stupidly around. I chose UFCU over a major bank because of the service. The service, okay? The people. This is absurd. It's a room filled with ATM's, and you know what? None of them could do the very basic thing I requested. Any other bank would have helped me out in a second. You know why? Super friendly and helpful. Boy, am I in love with the bank!!! I went into the bank and used their "deposit machine". I love how it sucks up my money in the tube and how the teller comes into screen afterwards. Feels super high tech... never seen one in any of the bay area banks (or maybe it's just me?) So. I went back to the UFCU branch on 1431 where you have all these ATMs inside. There was a person there who offered assistance. The thing about these ATMs is they will give you different denomination bills in return. For example I withdrew $100 and it gave me about 10 1's a few 5's and some 20's. This is what I was looking for. You can not select what combination of bills you get but importantly you get change. read more

User beware: I recently opened an account at this branch and deposited some money. When I went to use my money, I found out that all my money was gone! Someone got a hold of my starter checks and wrote a check for the entire amount of my account on the same day that my account was open. I did end up reporting it and the manager was super nice and helpful but it left me feeling very uneasy about using that branch ever again. The manager mentioned that it could easily be a mistake in that the checks may have been given to someone by mistake. However, it seemed like an odd coincidence that I never requested starter checks (so why were they even printed?), the check was written the same day as when I opened the account, and the check was written for the exact amount of my account. Someone at that branch is either a thief or incompetent. Either way, it makes me question this branch and the procedures they have in place. As a long time customer of UFCU, I will never come to this branch ever again and will be conducting all my financial business at a more secure bank. read more

While the service has been good here, I was not happy with the tellers being removed. This is the closest ufcu to my work and home. Without tellers, it's not convenient anymore. The ATMs won't give you the option to select how you would like your cash back, it just gives you 3 options. None of them are ever what I need. I then have to drive to Chase and get the desired denominations (big corporate bank still uses humans to service customers? imagine that!). Taking out the tellers just created more work for me. Not happy about that. Also took away the human element, and part of the reason anyone banks at a credit union, is for that local hospitality and human interaction you don't get at big banks. This bank was being converted to a no-teller location just as I was preparing for a big trip earlier this year. I was not able to withdraw money right before I left AND THIS WAS SUPREMELY INCONVENIENT. No warning. No nothing. Just you have to drive to 620 when we know you don't have the time and we don't care! I am not sure why UFCU is taking this approach, but I will be switching banks soon. read more

Terrible banking experience. Over the phone customer service is horrible. This particular location has horrible customer service since half the employees are ATMs. The actual physical people inside need some serious training!! They treat their customers like pieces of crap. This bank is just a bunch of greedy, selfish employees who lack in customer care. I had to learn the hard way, but if you're thinking about banking with them, please listen to me and go some where else. Do not waste your time and money here. They're a bunch of thieves. read more

Why did I not use UFCU more in the past? I do not know. I recently set up more accounts other than just savings and took out a car loan. Everything I do with them seems so much simpler than other credit unions. I will be switching my business account over shortly. I also love my new to me car and look forward to a long relationship with this branch. read more

Bad ATM experience aside the service here is top notch. The bank itself is very nice and I have never experience any other issues! UFCU is my favorite bank I have ever had this far. Thanks UFCU for fixing the problem with haste and remaining in contact with me. They even credited my account so I could pay my bills. read more

10/13/17 @ 12:30 I went to cash my check from my work as I do every two weeks and on this particular day I was approached by Ola the manager and said I might have a issue cashing my check due to having a hole in it. That's fine and understandable so I went to put it in the ATM and I noticed she got on the phone as soon as I looked down at the ATM, Ola the manager was looking at me as I was depositing my check then I went up to get my check released into my account she said that I should have a hold a 50$ check I responded with excuse me my check was ##### and then she tried to tell me that my check was tampered with and they have been having issues with this recently and because I have a specific card I shouldn't be allowed to get the funds released immediately but she said she would do it this once time but I knew once I asked for her card with her name on it she knew I knew that she profiled me 100% because of how I look it's completely repulsive and foul and I'm very disappointed with this credit union. I have been with them for three years, but after that I'm not so sure I like this bank.... read more

a room full of ATMs... ridiculous... long waits to talk to a real human, and even then they can't do anything other than issue a new debit card if you want to pull out money... I applied for a home loan. I chose them because they are a credit union and I had heard good things about using a credit union such as lower interest rate and personable care. I told the loan officer how much I needed to borrow. I gave her all of my information. I was told that I qualified for the loan. I joined the credit union as was required. Approximately two days prior to closing I was informed that they couldn't do the loan for me anymore. They stated that the reason was that it was for an investment property. I replied that that's the way it was from the beginning. They were fully aware of this fact. I ended up losing the costs of the inspection - about $600.I ended up going with PNC and they were able to pick up the pieces and I closed 2 weeks later. I couldn't believe what an unprofessional group this credit union is. Stay away. Yvonne Noack was unprofessional and acted like she had no idea who I was each time I called in to discuss my loan.. read more
