*****Editing this review to add that after I wrote this, RBFCU customer service did reach out to me…read moreand were able to refund the NSF fees. They also apologized for the bad customer service and insisted that they would do some coaching with those folks I spoke with. I appreciate them reaching back out. Only leaving 3 stars because I think it is an issue if the customer service department is picking and choosing who they want to refund fees for and can easily see how personal bias might affect this. I do hope they get training in this area. I'm pretty disappointed in RBFCU. I have well-established accounts at other banks including another credit union and have had accounts here for years. I have a very seldom-used business account that had a PayPal issue and ended up with multiple NSF fees before I caught it. Called to see if there was any way (being a well-established customer) we could have the fees waived and was given a quick no before I even finished my story. I know for A FACT they have done courtesy fee waivers before for other acquaintances and was blatantly told that they do not do them ever. Seems like there may be some equity issues here. It's not the first time I've seen this issue at RBFCU. I then go on to ask the "customer service supervisor" if I could have her name and her direct supervisor's name so that I can verify this information. I was told they didn't give last names, email addresses, or basically any other contact information. This is strange because most people have at least a business email address. We had planned on refinancing our home and car with them, but not when they fought me over $29 NSF fees. This will probably be my last straw with this bank. There are too many other options out there for them to treat established customers like this.

Feedback on RBFCU Trust Services and Members Trust Company…read more If you or your family are considering using RBFCU for trust administration services, I would strongly encourage you to proceed with caution. RBFCU assisted my grandparents--long-time members--with trust planning services, indicating that Members Trust Company would serve as the Trustee of their trust. While a separate estate planning law firm drafted the trust documents, RBFCU and Members Trust Company were expected to fulfill the trustee role upon my grandparents' passing. However, after both of my grandparents passed away, Members Trust Company delayed its involvement and ultimately declined to serve as Trustee. This unexpected decision created a period of significant uncertainty and disruption. During that time, trust assets were left without proper oversight, leaving them vulnerable to theft, damage, and loss. As beneficiaries, we were forced to urgently identify and appoint a new Trustee while simultaneously attempting to locate, secure, and assess the condition of the trust assets. This process was both stressful and costly. Some assets, including real estate, had to be sold under unfavorable conditions, resulting in financial losses. In addition, no clear or sufficient explanation was provided for the decision to decline the trustee role, nor was any meaningful assistance offered in transitioning to a new Trustee. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend RBFCU or Members Trust Company for trust administration services.

Terry is honest, kind, and extremely caring. Two months before we ended up signing a purchase agreement, Terry walked me through the process, the closing costs, the fees, line by line. Nothing is hidden, with Grove Mortgage. Our builder's lender gave us a worse rate with twice the amount of closing costs, mostly due to the builder's lender charging ridiculous origination fees, which Grove Mortgage does not do. I have been on numerous phone calls with Terry past 6:30 or 7 pm. He makes himself available, which is so important. Terry even saved us from some shadiness that was going on with our original realtor. He has made this process much more calm than I had ever imagined. Once again, I cannot recommend using Grove Mortgage enough, we truly feel like we have been treated like family.

I wanted a conventional loan, held by a conventional bank or financial institution. The process was pretty straight-forward, (Kalie's a bit pushy), but my closing rate was almost 1% above where we started. I went on with it anyway. We closed, I made my first payment, and 2 weeks later got a letter telling me my loan had been bought by Fannie Mae. Had I wanted a Fannie Mae loan, I would have refied with them to get a better rate, but I specifically stated I wanted a conventional loan! The part that upset me the most, is that the company they use, United Wholesale Mortgage, almost always sells their loans to Fannie Mae, and Groves didn't tell me that! Now I'm stuck with the very thing I refinanced to get away from! Terry and Kalie HAD to know that. It was deceitful and unprofessional. I'll never recommend them, and I'll certainly never use them again! If you're looking for a conventional loan, keep looking!

Dillon has been phenomenal. His communication, clarity, and follow‑through were consistently excellent. He is incredibly customer‑focused, proactive, and truly goes above and beyond in every aspect of his work. Throughout the entire process, we felt fully informed--whether it was timelines, progress updates, or unexpected issues that came up. Any time we reached out, Dillon responded quickly, professionally, and with genuine care. Honestly, this has been the best turn‑around manager experience we've ever had. Dillon is an outstanding maintenance manager, and we wanted to make sure his exceptional performance and dedication were recognized. We are extremely satisfied and deeply appreciative of the work he put into bringing this property back to life.

From the day we moved in, our experience has been disappointing. We've submitted multiple maintenance requests that have either gone unanswered or been marked as completed without anyone ever coming to our home. One of the most concerning issues is a large hole our neighbor's dog dug under the fence, allowing it access to our backyard. I was told they would "look into it, and call me back" but I never received a follow-up. Despite multiple calls, voicemails, and an online work order, the issue remains unresolved weeks later. We also reported an unbalanced ceiling fan that appears unsafe to use. After waiting over two months, I received a notification stating the repair had been completed, even though no one ever came to inspect or fix it. Communication has been extremely poor. Calls are rarely returned, voicemails go unanswered, and it feels nearly impossible to get a response from maintenance, the tenant coordinator, or Property Manager Melisa Day. Another frustration is that because these are new construction townhomes, tenants are expected to coordinate directly with vendors for certain repairs. That responsibility should fall on property management, not the tenant. To make matters worse, there is a significant gnat infestation. Despite paying for private pest control every two months and purchasing Zevo traps at my own expense, the problem persists. After speaking with several neighbors, I learned this is a community-wide issue. My experience has left me feeling that once the lease is signed, tenant concerns are no longer a priority. If you are considering renting here, I encourage you to carefully research the property before making your decision. ( we are very clean people three of those zevos have been there for 5 days, one I just changed yesterday.)
