After the firm was acquired (though one of the original owners is still involved), that changed. There was a significant price hike last year, and this year it went up again--by another 35%. When I reached out for an explanation, I was told a mass email had been sent in February. I checked thoroughly, including spam, and never received it. Even if it had been sent, February is far too late in the season to reasonably find another accountant. It's clear they no longer prioritize their clients. Between the steep pricing and constantly changing points of contact, the service has become inconsistent and not worth the cost. This kind of communication and pricing approach is unacceptable, and I won't be continuing with a high-priced, subpar firm.
