DONT BOTHER HEADING TO ANY OTHER RC SHOP!!!! I have a TEAM LOSI RACING eightxe buggy and I was looking for the best ESC to compliment my 2400kv motor, with these specifications , the store owner told me the best option for my rc.Not only did he do that but the previous soldering job on my motor was botched( not from me) they offered to solder it and the kid in the back did such a phenomenal job ,this man could solder a failing relationship back together this kid is so skilled.i went home tried to pair it to my remote and calibrate it ,i couldn't.i took my Rc car to another Rc shop ,they couldn't figure it out ,useless.so I drove ALLLLL THE WAY BACK (i live in west palm )to see if they could try to figure it out. Not only did they figure it out , they would've done it for free if i didn't need a new receiver.when i left the store i could drive that rc with no problems ,no complaints ,no issues what so ever. These people have a passion that other shops lack quite plainly.I am extremely grateful for them ,wish they would open an RC shop in west palm , but I will gladly drive to the best Rc shop in the area. read more

My husband has been a patron of RC hobbies on and off for several years since they were originally located in Boca Raton. He recently decided he wanted to get himself a new project so we stopped by on a Sunday afternoon close to closing time. It was quite busy so we had to wait a little bit for assistance, but the owner acknowledged us right away and was so accommodating. We were looking for a remote control vehicle that we could actually build from the ground up not just take out of the box and play with. There were limited options available and we settled on one. However, the owner pulled out a project that he had purchased for himself but not yet started to build. My husband fell in love with it so he agreed to sell it to us along with the paint that he purchased for it. I quickly looked up the price online and I was surprised to see how fair he was with how much he charged us. My hubby was so happy - he's already talking about a plane for his next build... and since he's happy so am I! We will continue to make RC Hobbies our go to for future purchases. read more

I went in for a repair on an old nitro truck and not only did they do a kick ass job the quality and price was very reasonable. They really want you to enjoy the RC hobby world. Been going to this place since I got started with Traxxas RC cars about 6 months ago. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They don't mind helping take your car apart and fixing it for you right then and there. You'll just have to pay the price for the part plus a few dollars for their time. A few other shops told me they would get to my car in a couple weeks... uhhhh no thank you. As far as a retail location, it's certainly a "boutique" place with the nice decor and it's very clean. Point is that compared to most hobby shops which are run down and dirty dusty items on the shelves, these guys are on top of their inventory and the place is spotless. I much prefer to pay a little more for good service and knowledgeable staff, and I did find out that they will match prices for certain items on the internet if you ask. I've found some pretty good deals and as long as they come close I always prefer to support a local store. Hopefully they will open a little earlier one day as 11 AM is pretty late. Would much prefer to get there earlier in the morning and not burn track time waiting to head there until nearly lunch time. read more

I went in there to get my speed controller calibrated and this guy said he cant do it and walks away instead of asking for my name and number to get back at me when he's available. Then he says just wait outside 5 minutes then come back in. So we leave the store because something thats takes literally 5 minutes to do shouldn't be this difficult. Bad customer service. Visited for the first time this weekend and found a nice little local shop and two gentlemen to assist with the update of an electric r/c car. The young gentlemen answered each and every question and provided sound advice. They called us back the following morning with work completed and invoice. It was slightly over our agreed amount however all seemed correct and old parts provided as a basis. Labor charges appeared fair and consistent with another r/c vendor. Car ran like a champ as we tested it in their parking lot around back before leaving. Kids were all smiles and laughs. We appreciated their business ethics and fast turn around time. We plan to have another unit repaired their next so both kids have one to use. I came in with my fiancé who needed his truck repaired. At first I thought the owner (JR) was a bit brash and a stuck up know it all but he turned out to be really cool and funny as hell! We went in thinking we knew what wrong with the car but he immediately knew what the problem was from the jump and quoted how much to repair on the spot! I've have never played around with an rc car before so I didn't know how much or if I would even like it at all until Dave happened....Dave is the lemon to JR's lemonade! We immediately hit it off and it was on from there! All three of us went outside to check out his daughters car after I asked him what would be a good beginner one for me. I didn't even get to drive it but I fell in love with how fast and agile it was. He then showed us his wife's car and that was bigger and faster! We left the store to get my fiancés remote and on the way back he asked if I really like them and which one? I said I like them both and figured we would get a cheaper beginner car but he opted to get me a faster one so we can race evenly. So knowing that you are a customer service based industry and helping people fix their gas cars they were the most rudest people I have ever dealt with. My brother in law gave them something to fix about two weeks and he had picked up the car and only got two runs out of if and returned to them to fix what they supposedly fixed already and they said to come back later and that they will not be fixing anything!!! First off, the store moved down Hillborough about a mile west (closer to I-95, across from Wedny's). The guys do know what they are talking about, and are actually nice. No red flags there. They do a decent job about keeping the store stocked, and prices are typical. However, I'm a plane guy, so I was disappointed when I visited the new store and realized they went from some plane stuff to no plane stuff. This has to be the absolute worst Hobbie shop to do business with. The so called "customer service reps" do not even have enough common sense to answer simple questions. When I called to ask about my order that hadn't been received yet even though I paid extra for two day shipping for they had every excuse in the book as to why it hasn't gone out. When I told them how dissatisfied I was and that I would NEVER shop there again, they cancelled my order without my knowledge......still waiting for my refund.
