on December 10, I had a new GE front loader washer with pedestal and GE front loader dryer with pedestal delivered to my home. The delivery was problematic, but that's not why I'm writing this review. I've tried to use the washer and I find that it doesn't spin out the water enough to get things dry and it's not getting things very clean. I contacted RC Willey and they came out and leveled the washer and that did not correct the problem the customer service person told me quite rudely that you've had the washer over 14 days and you cannot return it. I said I didn't want to return it. I just wanted it to work. They referred me to the GE extended warranty service. The young technician that came out explained a lot of things to me apparently there has been a change in legislation regarding washing machines. It will save me $48 a year in energy cost. However, the young man explained that it isn't a washing machine that will wash small loads because it won't balance properly and it will either stop mid cycle or it simply won't spin out enough of the water. He recommended I add a couple of sacrificial towels to all small loads to help ballots the loads. I'm an old lady. I live alone with the dog. I only have to wash my things about every two weeks cause I have plenty of clothing. I wear brightly colored tops and I separate them according to colors that makes a few small loads and then I have a medium size loads of black because I usually wear black pants. The problem with the retaining water is especially evident in natural fibers like cotton or rayon. Polyester things don't hold as much water. They're not as absorbent. So there's no real fix for this problem. I can't return the washer and dryer. I just wanted this to be a warning for those of you who live alone a Singleton that doesn't do large loads will not be able to use this washer satisfactory. The sad part is when I add towels in the dryer doesn't get things dry enough because it too is energy efficient. The young man explained that this change has taken affect in all washers and dryers except for speed queen, which is still making theirs as they did it in the 1990s. What I needed to buy was a top loading washer and my sales person had asked would I like a top loading washer and I said I would but I needed the dryer to be on a pedestal and I didn't think they'd look very good in my laundry room mismatch like that. I needed to be warned that this washer would not do what I needed. I don't know if they even know that, but they should pretty soon because I'm sure there's gonna be other Singleton's that have the same problem. None of our C Willie folks explain this to me before or after and while I was having problems. The customer service person I worked with was quite adversarial. I haven't had to deal with her recently, they may have changed her position. Warning to all of you singles out there do not buy a front loading washer or dryer from any manufacturer that are made at this time. They are all going to have the same problem because of the energy, saving modifications. I am going to continue to try to problem, solve and help myself work out how to use these. But I am really to the point that I'm going to give them away to someone with a family where they actually might work however I am sure they're not going to get as clean as they would've in an earlier model washer. The government's gotta stay out of our business. I mean they're making regulations that mean very expensive appliances can't do the job. Good luck to you out there. It's a brave New World. He gave us his card and said if anyone else approaches you, just hold that card up. We liked that, because we didn't have to chat with other salesmen! We did look at a Few sets, but definitely like the sold wood one we bought. It was a little pricy, but we bought it! The best part was that we were at the store on a Tuesday and Keith said he could have it delivered on Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised. The delivery was set and I was kept informed of when the delivery would be made. It came early, so we were happy about that! The delivery guys were excellent too. We ordered carpet 2 weeks before the install. We were told that the carpet was in stock and would be available. We also picked the pad we wanted and were never told that there could be a problem with the pad not being available so we assumed it would be delivered with the carpet. We spent 2 weeks moving everything out of our rooms and closets to prepare and our house was a mess. About 4 pm the day before the carpet was to be installed I get a call from the salesperson saying that it looked like the pad we ordered would not be available in time and asked if we wanted to choose a different pad or reschedule the install. At that point I felt like we didn't have much of a choice. I reluctantly chose a different pad as we did not want to reschedule. I was told it was possible the pad we wanted would be there on time and she would have them wait to install to see if it got there on time and would text me with updates. I never got a text but the installers showed up with the pad I reluctantly chose. When we talked to the installer he was very sympathetic and called RC Willey about the pad we wanted. He was able to get the original pad we ordered and get it installed. The salesperson was not very sympathetic and didn't really seem to care about what happened. I felt it was very unprofessional and poor scheduling to call the afternoon before an install to give me the message that the pad might not be available. Horrible customer service on the part of RC Willey but great customer service from the installers. The installers were great, I can't say that about RC Willey and will never order flooring from them again. read more

Ordered a new Speed Queen washer/dryer set at a cost of $3K. Delivery set for a Wednesday between 8 and 10. Took the morning off work and waited. Text from Willey at 8:30 stated that dryer is available but washer cannot be found, though hopefully can be located by the end of the following week. Customer service rep promised that a manager will call by the end of the day to "explain." No call received that day or the next. Called customer service for the third time and asked for a refund, which she promises will be done. No apologies, no attempts to remedy....nothing. Rating them at two stars rather than one because the customer service reps were very polite while providing no service. read more

UPDATE: I am adjusting my review to three stars (Average of 5 and 1 Star review) because within an hour of posting this review I was contacted by Juan L., the Furniture Delivery Department Manager who reviewed the situation with me and provided me with the customer care that lacked in my previous interactions with RC Willey employees. I was also contacted by Alexia in Customer Service who took care of a billing error (an overcharge) that Juan discovered and brought to my attention - thank you, Juan. Alexia was also courteous and efficient. Hopefully this was a one-off experience for the store. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Ordered a dining set and it has been a comedy of errors trying to get an undamaged table and chairs delivered. One employee told me, "we have your chair for delivery and it is damaged, but we were told to bring it out anyway". WTH? Store managers do not return phone calls. Polite delivery drivers are at the mercy of a customer service team that can't write an accurate work order. So much wasted time for both me and the retailer. We recently moved to the area and had to furnish our entire house. Tara, our sales representative was amazing! She helped us pick out two living room sets, a dining set, and coordinated with the appliances department for our washer and dryer and the electronics department for our two large televisions along with mounting and installation. Tara knew we were in a bind and couldn't wait a week or two for delivery so she expedited everything that was in stock and we received it within a day or two, all with a great warrantee and free delivery with their Blue membership that was only around $100. The RC Willey delivery team was amazing too! Extremely polite and thoughtful - they carefully assembled and installed everything for us. After a few days I realized the coffee table and end tables for my living room weren't exactly the vibe I was going for, so I called the store to ask to return and it was the smoothest process! No questions asked as I was within my 14 day return window and they sent someone to pick it up in a few days. I will absolutely shop here again! We will be coming back to see her next time we buy RC Willey is the best when it comes to delivery. In most cases just a few days and a one time delivery charge applies for a whole year. We walked in to warm greetings and everyone was super helpful and not pushy. We found what we were looking for and our sales rep was very informative and let us know when everything would arrive and guess what, it arrived when they said it would and if a piece of furniture was damaged or missing a piece or anything was wrong, instead of us having to point it out, they did, and they said they would be back with a piece that was flawless and they did. This is a wonderful company with excellent communication and customer service, I'm going back for more furniture based just on that. I just noticed I did a review last year at this same time, FOR THE SAME REASON. The sofa I purchased has electric reclining chairs attached in a sectional. The remote for one of the recliners keeps braking. It has been replaced four or five times. I paid and ordered another one. It was delivered to RC Willey and they did not notify me. I called after it had been at the store for several weeks and they told me it was there. I scheduled an appointment and the installation tech did not show. I called and talked to the customer service person and she told me there was a computer glitch and it cancelled my appointment. She said it was a new system and they have been having problems. I rescheduled my appointment and they assured me they would come out and install the part. Of course, they did not come to install my part. I called back today and again spoke to the same customer service person and she again told me the computer cancelled my appointment. I asked to speak to a manager and was transferred to Carla Payne the Customer Service Manager. I told her what the problem was and of course, I was very upset by this time and Carla just blamed it on the Corporate office that made them get this new program. Carla was very rude and would not take any responsibility for their company experiencing these new computer problems. I suggested they keep a paper trail of the appointments so they could see the discrepancies against the computer and she just told me I was "Gas Lighting Her" and she hung up on me. I bought over $10,000 in LG appliances with the highest end of appliances and the dishwasher is giving me cloudy glasses from day 1 I have called my salesman, Todd. He insisted we go through a process of having someone come to our house to make sure it was hooked up correctly. We are Military so we understand there's a process. Well they never called and I had to chase them down to come see if something was wrong. RC Willey never checked on us even once. They just kept letting time pass. I have just about totally refurnished my home in the last couple of years and have purchased almost all of it from R.C. Willey in Meridian, ID. I have had great experiences with everyone on the staff. The last couple of purchases have been exceptional. Lisa was my salesperson and she is a gem. My friend and I came in and I immediately fell in love with an area rug that was on the floor. A gentleman salesman asked if we wanted help and he looked up the rug and we told him we wanted to look around. Lisa spied us as we were sitting on a couch. She asked if she could assist us and was very careful as to how much the gentleman helped us so she wouldn't steal his sale. She carried pillows and cushions to the rug to make sure it would go with it. To make a long story short (I know, too late) I bought the things I wanted with her help. A few days later my friend and I went back to buy a chair. Lisa again helped us and after a long time looking and sitting I bought a chair. The next day I called and changed my order to the other chair I had been looking at. At all times Lisa was very helpful, calling me when she had information about an area rug being cut to the size I wanted. She even asked for pictures. We have purchased multiple furniture items from this place and have found the majority of their sales floor staff provide crap service after you pay and they get their commission. The latest was lop Marta who was happy to write the invoice but never called once the item came in as promised. When I called her cell her response was, oh I must have dropped the ball. Sales associate Margaret (Maggie) is who helped this time. She is not helpful and with her grumpy attitude she shouldn't be working customer service. She is rude, not knowledgeable. Her poor service adds to the poor quality of furniture this place sells. After many attempts of getting furniture exchanged it still comes poor quality. Delivery guys are not careful unloading from the truck, you have to watch them or they will ding every spot in your home. Fun store to walk through, they have options for furniture for every room and appliances. The prices seem reasonable, but the quality is not top of the line. This becomes apparent in the clearance area, where you can see on scratched and dented furniture most things are not solid wood all the way through. My husband and I walked through busy afternoon. We were approached by about 8 different sales people in the 35 minutes we spent in the store, each introducing themselves and then giving us our space. One Salesman pointed out that if you see a different color chair in a section of couches that is a different color option. Good to know! My sofa was delivered this morning. As the delivery guys brought it in with the front facing me as they set it down, I did not notice the bottom was already torn until I reached under for a dropped item and felt the flap. Many MANY sharp staples poking out. Or not even holding the material in place. Or rusty. I have three small children, this is unacceptable. For spending nearly a grand on a sofa, more (and BETTER) was expected. Who threw this thing together????? I spent so much time scouting all the local furniture stores and online. Settled on this sofa after several visits to rc willey on separate days to make sure this was the sofa wanted. Had one salesman that I literally zig-zagged the entire store to "lose" him as he circled me like a shark. STOP TEACHING THIS SALES TACTIC! Customers shouldn't have to feel like prey(I'm about to start referring to RC Willey as RC-Ashley Furniture). On top of that, I called him out on being dishonest while trying to close the sale. After attempting to purchase straight from the counter and being denied since I had to go through a salesperson, I found another man whom explained to me that I was stuck with the shark since he had already given me a quote and I had to wait until that dropped(in a day or two) in order to get help from someone else... then proceeded to answer his phone in the middle of another question and walked off. I get it, you're not going to make commission off of me so I don't matter. Left the store in completely disappointment. Went back late in the evening and was relieved to get service from a non-pushy and genuinely helpful fella. It was quick and I was out of there with my sofa ordered and paid for within ten min of walking in. But unfortunately, that small blip of positive experience has not been able to outweigh all the negative. I never anticipated being so stressed out over the purchase of one piece of furniture. P.s. We recently moved to Nampa, Idaho. Due to our move, we needed to buy 2 sets of office style furniture, which had been built in at our previous home in Northern California. We thought we had found decent replacement furniture at RC Willey. WRONGAMUNDO! Within 3 weeks of receiving the furniture, the entire front piece of 1 of the 3 file cabinet units literally FELL OFF! On the other 2 file cabinet units, the left side of both units was coming loose, while the right side of the file cabinet seemed to stay secure. We were assured by the sales person that they would replace the furniture with the same style but different finish and that would correct the problem. Au Contraire.... This morning they were supposed to deliver the replacement furniture with the different stain version and when it arrived, it appeared to be the same exact stain. That said, we were at our wit's end. The upshot is that we spoke with the store manager and told him we want a 100% refund and would not accept the replacement furniture, so they were to take away ALL the furniture immediately. We are not novices with furniture. In fact, we're pretty knowledgeable, truth be told. It is now clear to us that RC Willey sold us below par furniture and charged a hefty price for it. Our recommendation? Do NOT buy case goods from RC Willey. read more

I will start by saying I'm not a complainer. But, it is what it is. I ordered a sofa chair on 1-10-22. My salesman Brian was great. Prompt, and professional. I admitted to him that I am an impulse buyer. I offered to buy the demo chair. He said no. I was ok with that. He checked online and said delivery would be in 3 weeks. I gave our credit card and paid upfront. Just after 3 weeks I call to check delivery status with customer service. After a 20-30 minute wait I get a customer service representitive on the line. I'm told that because of production and delivery issues my chair won't show up til early March, way later. But, I get texts and emails that my chair will be delivered early on 2-5-22. But our address is not correct On the texts. So I call again. Another 20-30 wait. Correct the spelling of our address. Guys show up to deliver the chair. They were great. However, I get a statement in the mail that looks to be some kind of an installment plan for the chair, first payment due of 2-25-22. So I call customer service again. Another 20-30 minute wait. I explained that I paid for the chair upfront and why was I getting this payment statement. He was patient with me and explained that their customer service dept was severely understaffed. I asked to talk to a manager about my "payment plan." He put me on hold for about 10 minutes and came back and said all was good. I wanted confirmation that we weren't on an installment plan and again asked to talk to a manager. Put on hold again for longer than I wanted. Was then told all was fixed. I asked for confirmation, or to talk to a manager. Was just told all was fixed. All of this for a paid up front purchase of a chair. When someone has an issue don't make them wait 20-30 minutes per call to talk to a warm body. Every call. And I'll probably get an installment statement saying why didn't I pay on the due date. Update. Was promptly contacted by Dave, the furniture sales manager. We had a meaningful discussion. He explained in a logical way the answer to my "complaints." He was very direct and responsive to solving issues. My "review" should now be adjusted to a 4 out of 5. Much appreciated. read more

We went to RC Willey to look for a new dining room set. We had heard good things about them and the fact that they're a local company was a bonus. It took 6 months to get the set we picked out, due to COVID, and when it came, it was the wrong set. We ordered a bar height set and the one we got was not. It is the same set, but lower. We didn't want to wait 6 months again, so we kept it. Now, 1 year later, the set looks like it's 10 years old. The cushions are already flat and the finish is chipping off. Our previous set lasted 15 years with 6 kids. This set? 1 year with just my husband and I. When I reached out, I was told sorry...the set only has a 1 year warranty. It had started chipping prior to 1 year but it wasn't BAD so I didn't report it. Unfortunately, it has gotten much worse. I absolutely will not purchase from them again and I definitely will not recommend them to anyone. Buyer beware. read more

Very horrible experience. We purchased a mattress- Serta Beauty Rest and bed from RC WILLEY. The mattress failed and started to loose its shape. We filed a claim for warranty and it was denied because they stated the bed didn't provide adequate support for the mattress. So their salesman's lack of knowledge and training selling us something that shouldnt go together has led us to loose thousands of dollars. Bought a blue burrito mattress here for a ridiculous amount of money under a 10 year warranty and within a year it's busted had a guy come out to my house told me it was replaceable. RC Willey company then mailed me back telling me it was stained. Warranty VOIDED! No phone call just a letter. I explain there's a mattress cover on it that you guys sold me it's your product you should probably recognize that then I was told to send photos without the cover which I did and it is spotless. I was then accused of trying to commit fraud because I had bought a new bedframe during this timeframe and it wasn't the one in the photo. I asked for a manager from the mattress warranty department and was ghosted. I can waste another day of my life with someone coming out to look at the bed again because I'm a liar according to them! My dryer had stopped working and I went in to find the same brand as my washer to replace it. The salesman showed me all the ones on the sales floor and then asked if I wanted to check the clearance section before making my selection. We found a dryer in the brand I was looking for in the clearance section at a great price. Not only was he extremely helpful he got me what I needed and saved me money. A brief breakdown of my experience with RC Willey, the first product I purchased from them was a washer dryer it was delivered and set up without any problems. I decided to go back and purchase a refrigerator. the refrigerator was delivered damaged the delivery guys assured me that they would advise them of the damage and ordering you door to the refrigerator and have it installed. Weeks went by and I heard nothing from anyone I reach back out to customer service customer service explain to me how it was my problem there wasn't much they could do I asked to speak with a supervisor the supervisor said that they would order a new refrigerator and have it delivered. I waited the day of delivery at the time that they provided and nobody showed up I called waited on a long hold again they said they were running late but would be in route. when the delivery guys arrived they brought another damaged refrigerator as well as damaged my property bringing the refrigerator through the door breaking my exterior light off of the wall. I ended up opening a claim and the claims department resolved the issue so I felt comfortable purchasing a television from them. They gave me another delivery date I sat around and waited for them heard from nobody and the item never ended up showing up I Called and waited on hold again only to be told that they didn't know what was happening but they would try to reattempt delivery in several days. This will be the last product I purchase from RC Willey. read more
