We went to RC Willey to look for a new dining room set. We had heard good things about them and the fact that they're a local company was a bonus. It took 6 months to get the set we picked out, due to COVID, and when it came, it was the wrong set. We ordered a bar height set and the one we got was not. It is the same set, but lower. We didn't want to wait 6 months again, so we kept it. Now, 1 year later, the set looks like it's 10 years old. The cushions are already flat and the finish is chipping off. Our previous set lasted 15 years with 6 kids. This set? 1 year with just my husband and I. When I reached out, I was told sorry...the set only has a 1 year warranty. It had started chipping prior to 1 year but it wasn't BAD so I didn't report it. Unfortunately, it has gotten much worse. I absolutely will not purchase from them again and I definitely will not recommend them to anyone. Buyer beware. read more

A brief breakdown of my experience with RC Willey, the first product I purchased from them was a washer dryer it was delivered and set up without any problems. I decided to go back and purchase a refrigerator. the refrigerator was delivered damaged the delivery guys assured me that they would advise them of the damage and ordering you door to the refrigerator and have it installed. Weeks went by and I heard nothing from anyone I reach back out to customer service customer service explain to me how it was my problem there wasn't much they could do I asked to speak with a supervisor the supervisor said that they would order a new refrigerator and have it delivered. I waited the day of delivery at the time that they provided and nobody showed up I called waited on a long hold again they said they were running late but would be in route. when the delivery guys arrived they brought another damaged refrigerator as well as damaged my property bringing the refrigerator through the door breaking my exterior light off of the wall. I ended up opening a claim and the claims department resolved the issue so I felt comfortable purchasing a television from them. They gave me another delivery date I sat around and waited for them heard from nobody and the item never ended up showing up I Called and waited on hold again only to be told that they didn't know what was happening but they would try to reattempt delivery in several days. I love this store. At first I was intimidated by the size and the variety of items but everything I have purchased has been outstanding quality and reasonable prices. The staff is super friendly and the whole process of purchasing, paying and scheduling delivery has gone smoothly every time. For once, in a retail environment you can actually find someone to help you!! My family has purchased refrigerators, couches, entertainment centers and recently a desk and a mattress. We have furnished our house over and over with RC Willey. The last couple times we have been really disappointed with the salesman. One salesman actually went up to the older man whom we bought some stuff from and told him he stole his sale. No he didn't. My husband refused to let the other guy help us because he followed him around so I went and found someone new to help us. Today we had 11 different people come up to us trying to give us their card and if we wanted to buy something to come to them. We had plans of refurnishing 2 rooms today and ended up walking out and going elsewhere because we felt so uncomfortable. read more

Save yourself a headache and go to DeMeyer instead, which is right next door. We purchased a few items at RCW and one item wasn't in stock. We were told the item was "on a truck on the way to Utah" and that it would arrive at the end of March. Come May, still no bed. Obviously they lied and the item was never on a truck. The rep I spoke with said it could be on a container somewhere. Please be honest upfront. I would have preferred to have purchased only items that were in stock. I spoke with our salesman who said he didn't care what we wanted to do and would refund my money. He said I had to come in to the store to get a refund. I then call customer service and the rep said she would refund it over the phone and that we did not need to go in. She was the most helpful overall. Remarkably interesting buyer beware. since R.C. Willey has come to town we always shopped there and never had a problem till now. One I have a contractors account and a personal account. Never have used their floor covering department before so I was buying a full set of appliances and went over and scheduled a measure for someone to come out and measure the home, I was updating for LVP. The installed called me and we set the appointment. Well, he never showed up and no follow up by the salesperson. No big deal I just got it done by the people I always use. #2. My wife buys a recliner in their clearance area and it is a power one. But it is making noises, so the salesperson sell her an extended warranty. RC Wiley's delivers it, and she uses it for a while. So, we rearranged the room and I look under it and the frame is broken. My wife calls RC Willey to come out and they schedule an appointment. Well, I get a call the day before and some nice lady informs me the warranty only cover the power stuff. Well, we know that this was a return because someone did not like it and that is why it was in clearance section. The customer service lady said it was not broken before we got it. Interesting it had noises because of the broken frame that is why the salesmen double dipped in a sale. The nice sales lady puts me on a hold and then comes back and everything sold in the clearance department is sold as is. So, I asked her so RC Willey will do nothing for us? She said no not our policy. So, I said it is like buying at a garage sale at 5 times the cost. She just laughed and then I let her know I was going to warm others by a yelp review. She thanks me and we hung up. so here are my reviews. So do not buy anything in the clearance section unless you get an inspection of the product first. My dryer had stopped working and I went in to find the same brand as my washer to replace it. The salesman showed me all the ones on the sales floor and then asked if I wanted to check the clearance section before making my selection. We found a dryer in the brand I was looking for in the clearance section at a great price. Not only was he extremely helpful he got me what I needed and saved me money. We previously ordered a range oven directly from S*****g but their logistic partner messed up with delivery so we canceled it after 3 weeks waiting with no stove at our home. Last minute looking, we ordered the same stove from RC Wiley through their website and it was very smooth from ordering until the stove was delivered and set up in our kitchen. Thank you for being clear to your customer if the product is available and when we expect delivery. I am currently the Duke of RC Willey and I am ready to hand over the throne to any poor sap willing to deal with their annoying 14 day return policy. I had a bad return experience that fortunately resolved in the customer service rep doing the right thing. It wasn't fun for either of us and I must now warn others to watch out for this anemic return policy. Let's say you buy a small electronic gift for your wife on black Friday (Nov 25). She opens it on Christmas, you try to hook it up, and you fail because Sony product designers are living in 1990 and haven't upgraded their audio inputs to modern digital standards. OK now it is Dec 29, respectfully close to gift opening day. How would you rate your experience when the cust. serv. rep asks "Is there any reason you are returning this a month late?" Um yeah dude, are you familiar with the retail buying and gift giving period known as Thanksgiving - Christmas? Best Buy allows me to return something until the middle of January. OK no biggie RC is not a modern company, they have draconian severity, whatever. At least we are going through with the refund process. While the refund is being processed, I actually see the sales rep over in electronics. I think of badgering him to come over and explain why he thought it was OK to sell me this outmoded crap. But I am interrupted with a lecture from the cust. serv. rep about RC's 14 day return policy. Give me a break! Even for the holidays? How about I never shop here again for gifts? I have purchased major furniture items here. I am thinking never again for those items either. What if I had to make a return after 15 days because it took me that long to realize something wasn't appropriate? Yeah the cust. serv. rep was annoying, his lecture and tone were not appreciated, but he gave me the refund in the end so I can't give RC 1 star. Still, the vice president who makes this policy needs to get his or her head up to the speed of modern American life if they want to keep customers who are treated better at other electronics retailers. read more

RC Willey deserves more than the two star average they currently have. The huge selection alone is worth three stars, throw in the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable sales staff and I don't see any reason to not give them another star. That said, they don't seem to keep stock on hand. So whatever you buy, you gotta wait to get it... and we're Americans (which means we want things NOW!)... minus one star. I did get a pretty sweet deal on the media center I was looking for, and I really didn't mind the two day wait to get it. I'd probably go back and shop there again if they had something I needed or wanted. At the end of the day, I came to the conclusion that RC Willey is A-OK. read more

Edit: no one is willing to help me resolve this issue or take accountability, so I changed the rating to one star. I love RC Willey, or at least I did. I made a purchase on 3/22/23. Furniture came damaged/defective three times. I told the salesman I was at the point of returning it. She offered me 30% off when the last piece to the set came. (this was on 4/6) I asked for some time to consider it and get back to her. I decided to go ahead and keep it. She told me to call in and ask for the cashier, as they were ready to process my refund. I spoke with Debra who stated the amount of my refund and I asked her if that was correct. She then confirmed it with another employee and stated, yes, it was correct and she asked me for my cc information. At first she tries charging my cc the amount of the refund. On 5/2 I receive a bill in the mail. I call in to find out what this bill is for, as I have no outstanding debt with them. The man who answers tells me that I have a gliding loveseat I didn't return. I tell him that indeed the delivery guys took that on the last exchange, so he states that he will pass this info on to his supervisor. The next day Nicole is texting me asking me how many pieces of furniture I have from them. I send her a copy of my receipt and sales order. She asks me this question three times. I finally tell her that I do not owe any money. She keeps referring to a spreadsheet that is nothing to me but a bunch of item and code numbers, along with something blacked out and a run on sentence at the bottom I can't make sense of. As the conversation goes no where, she asks if I'd like to speak with someone else. That's when Lynn gets on the phone. At first, she's really soft spoken, then as the conversation continues, she gets rude. She tells me "I need to calm down" and that "I do owe this money due to a misunderstanding." What and whose misunderstanding? She's telling me I was refunded for one loveseat + given 30% off the other. When you do the math, it doesn't add up. The fact that I was offered 30% off and double checked and Debra triple checked the refund before it was processed should end this right there, but now they want to come back at me, rude as if I did something wrong, and demand I pay more or return my furniture. Huh? And through this mess, I realize no where is my refund given/documented for the $106.00 for the exchange difference between the two different loveseats. Before this happened, I referred my daughter in who also bought furniture. I don't think either of us will be back. read more

I moved here over three years ago and purchased over 10k of merchandise. I'm pretty sure the delivery guys stole two jewelry containers from me with jewelry in them, the sofa is literally falling apart and one side of the bed will no longer go up and down, the dryer handle is broken. No, no no. Buyer beware!!! I have sent in a picture with details to reviews@rcwilley.com Update: 11-7-18: They did send a service technician out to fix the dryer handle, however he also took lots of pictures and said I would hear back from them and 7 to 10 business days to see if they would fix or replace sofas, I have left many messages out and an several emails and have yet to hear back about the results. We have always heard great things about RC Willey and now that they're close enough to visit we were sure to show up on opening day in the Delta Shores shopping center, even though we weren't in the market for anything at that time. Since that visit I've been waiting patiently for a new living room set. Holidays were around the corner & I had the honors of hosting the family party so it was a perfect time for a new look. Rc Willey was my 1st stop and now will be my go to home store. There has always been someone to help and they'll also respect your personal space if you just want to "look around". Needless to say I went home absolutely satisfied delivery was swift, I did have a small issue with my couch & they fixed it right away. They wanted me to be 100% happy and they succeeded. I would never go anywhere else for a tv, appliance, or bed. they have everything possible (mostly), at a good price and promotions, nice salesmen who really understand service, fast terrific delivery, and the best customer service in the Treasure Valley. We love the one time delivery option where you pay once and get everything delivered for free for a year. plus a rewards rebate and extended warranty! we changed our minds on comfort of a mattress and they exchanged it with the nicest ttitude and for no delivery charge with our once a year delivery membership. for that same fee (under 100) they delivered a wonderful washer and dryer, pedestals, two mattresses. in the recent past we bought two tvs there and were so happy with the salesman and delivery people! The products are the best but they also carry lesser priced options. Their customer service is the best in town. They even have no interest financing options for good credit. Was shopping around for a new refrigerator and it was 1 of 5 places we stopped in to. We already knew the model that we wanted so its not like we were needing to be educated on 50 bazillion models. Ever since RC Wileys came to Meridian we've stopped in maybe a half dozen times, though we never bought anything there, maybe due they never have anything we like, but its probably due to how they sell stuff....in your face, not in a rude way but annoying way. You just can't browse without 20 salespersons coming up and asking if they can help you. On the refrigerator, we ended up buying from Best Buy. Better pricing and knowledge staff. read more

We have bought many, many, pieces of furniture and rugs from R.C. Willey. This time we bought a swing, a glider loveseat, and 2 glider chairs. When we received them the 2 chairs were put together, however, the glider part was installed backward. My husband had to take them apart and redo them. Then he opened the box to put the swing together. The box was pretty beat up. All pieces accounted for EXCEPT the bag with the screws, springs, etc. Okay, that made us unhappy, but we moved to the loveseat. Opened the box, and guess what? No bag with screws, springs, etc. So now they have been in our garage for a week because we don't have the parts. We called and were told they don't carry extra parts, and they would have to order new boxes from Salt Lake. Well, yesterday they came in and we were told we could come get them. Really? Don't you think the company would want us to have the parts that we paid for and make a special trip to bring them out? Oh no, we could come get them, or wait another week and someone would deliver. We paid a bunch of money for this furniture. And it sits in pieces in the garage. Not happy with any part of this. read more

I would give this place 0 if possible. They will offer you 18mo zero interest but will not process your payments for 3-4 weeks after sending so they can charge fees and break their obligation resulting in backed interest charges. Mine was in the amount of nearly $1800. Additionally, they installed my washer/dryer. The delivery guys took out a huge chunk of my wall on the way upstairs (brand new house). I am not a complainer by nature, so I just fixed it and forgave the mistake. However, about 8 month later we found a slow leak in the gasket (installed incorrectly) on the back of the washer that caused $80,000+ in damages to my home!! We had to completely rip out me entry way (laundry room above), carpeting and wood flooring upstairs and down, and go through months of construction in addition to a huge insurance claim. Did I mention the house was brand new when they installed the units? They are refusing to take responsibility for any of the damages and to add insult to injury they snuck the $1800 extra interest charge on my account. These people are despicable. read more

My wife and I have been here a handful of times when since moving into a place. We now have more room and that means more furniture! We originally came here for a media stand for our tv but we just didn't find what we were looking for. On our second trip, we ended up picking up a dresser for our bedroom that we love! Our first stop is always the back section where they sell the discounted items. These items are discounted for a variety of reasons but most of them have some sorts of scratch or blemish on them. We found one with a slight surface crack in the top but it was discounted a couple hundred dollars and didn't seem to be an issue. After some negotiating, we were able to get an additional $40 off of the sticker price since it was an "as is" purchase. We paid for the dresser and ran home to get our SUV so that the dresser would fit. We went around back and it was there waiting for us. They loaded it in the car and off we went. I really wish I remembered the salesmen's name because he was a pleasure to work with. We even received a hand written card from him a week later thanking us. We will be back! read more

Were very quick to assemble the base and take away any packaging materials. Both men were polite, professional, personable and had good senses of humor. We would like to thank RC Willey for the exceptional customer service we received in your Meridian, Idaho store yesterday Nov 21. We had two wonderful salesmen, first in purchase of an LG front loader w/d set and then in purchase of a Tempurpedic mattress. The outstanding person in the w/d department was Jeff Varguson. He knew everything we asked about, including ratings, and helped us decide rather quickly but carefully on a set. He did the sale, arranged delivery with Blue Rewards, arranged all necessary install parts on sale, gave info on the warranty extension, rebate, sales, etc. and saved us from wasting time. Plus he was so nice! On researching at home afterwards we found his info on our highest rated washer/dryer to be accurate, confirming that we got the best set at the best price and interest free financing (if paid on time) without running around town, it was also in stock and is being delivered rapidly. Second outstanding salesman was Ryan Thomas who sold us a new Tempurpedic mattress. He went above and beyond. Not only did he educate us about the cooling bed protector, he informed us of a credit available on purchase to get covers. The best thing he did was to write it up and escort us to credit, where they increased our limit and combined the purchases for even better financing terms. The lady in credit was so sweet and great to talk to. Ryan finished the sale and set up delivery and stayed with us through it all.He was great. This day at RC Willey was so impressive in superior customer service (like one hardly ever finds any more), stock, great brands, clean store, beautiful decor, financing options and holiday sales! We purchased a Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator on December 20th 2022. When it was delivered, the nightmare started. The left door was dented, so the delivery personnel ordered a new one that was installed on January 2023. While it was installed, the technician discovered another dent on the right door and so he ordered a new door as well. When the refrigerator was delivered, the doors were not straight in the first place and when the doors were replaced, the technician was unable to have the unit straightened. We went to RC Willey in person to explain the problems and show them some pictures. They would not do anything. Their tech came back and he blamed the floor for not being level. At that point, our doors did not even close anymore, We reached out to RC Willey Meridian, and they would not budge again. We contacted Frigidaire who sent their tech and he fixed the issue but was unable to have the doors squared up and straight. After this, we noticed that the ice maker was making very little ice. We called Frigidaire one more time. The tech discovered that the line bringing water to the ice maker was disconnected and had been running water on our hardwood floor for quite a while. We had to replace the hardwood floor and Frigidaire partially covered the cost. The floor is perfectly level and the refrigerator is still crooked. When moving it to repair the hardwood floor, we noticed that the front wheel support was noticeably bent which is probably the source of many of our problems. So far, from December 2022 through October of 2023, we had nothing but problems with this appliances and it is still not fixed.RC Willey did not do a thing to help with the issues. If they had been more responsive and had swapped the unit (that obviously had been dropped) in the first place, we would not have this snowball effect ordeal. read more

Love the bedroom set we bought. The nightstands, the drawer, and the headboard all fit nicely. It's fun to shop around RC Willey. We usually find all sorts of little nice things. Our house is entirely furnished with items bought from RC Willey over the years. Although, it's a shame that they stopped doing the fun hot dogs and drinks on Saturdays. Too many corporations are using the COVID Scamdemic as an excuse to get rid of good deals and raise prices while offering less in return. Would really like life to go back to pre-Scamdemic and for RC Willey to bring back those sweetheart Girl Scouts doing the hot dogs and drinks. read more
