Since Sunflower Bank didn't want my considerable CD deposit, I went to our Credit Union of America on North Maize which was a breath of fresh air! I only found out a couple months ago as I tried to pay down my car loan with some extra money and they made me apply it to the card first. I tried to work with one lady, but I just couldn't make the min payments she wanted so I'd send what I could, and she would call and text me and was super rude and unprofessional. So I stopped communicating. Next lady seemed nice until I again couldn't send in what she wanted. If I have to choose payment on the credit card vs payment on the car loan, I'm choosing the car loan. I was told "how else are we going to get our money back?" And also told "If you can't afford the car then give it back". This was said as I tried to explain to her that I am in a financial crisis and struggling hard and I was crying like a baby (embarrassing) but I've been making sure to pay on the car loan as I need the car for work. I also only owe $900 or so on my car loan right now, and I just received a letter saying I have to pay the credit card in full right now, which was about $2K but now is $3K because of interest and such. Discover Card stopped interest on my credit card and I only have to pay $35 until I can get stuff situated. Skyward apparently can't do that? I also said once my car loan is paid it will free up $340 to which I can tackle the card. But that's not good enough? They want to sue me and take my car with only $900 left on the loan. What an evil business. My finances will eventually straighten out, but that company does not care about the community at all. POS company.
