A paint store is a paint store…read more The difference between them is customer service. We went to purchase primer and paint. Now, mind you we are not professionals. So, we asked for primer and paint, period. The primer comes in white the paint was tinted. The primer showed through the paint here and there. This required us to return to the store to buy more paint. While waiting a different associate was helping a customer buy paint and primer. He asked the customer if he wanted the primer tinted to match the paint. Much to our surprise and frustration we had wished our associate had made the same offer. We state to the sales associate we wished our associate had made that suggestion. His response was we could have asked. Great response. Blame the customer for their lack of knowledge! It doesn't take much to properly train staff to ensure they meet minimal expectations. Next time we need paint we will go to Benjamin Moore!

There are a few points that they could improve upon, such as making sure the shelves stay stocked so I don't have to get a rep to help get an item down, and not leaving a forklift in the middle of an isle so I cannot get my cart past, but compared to their friendless and helpfulness at getting me what I need, I will not criticize them more than a mention. Nor-Cal Professional Painting did a great job of painting the exterior of our home in WestPark…read more After power washing the house and the concrete, with a crew of three people they had it painted in two days. Jeff Pecka, the owner, communicated with us by text and email to keep us informed of their progress in a timely manner. The process was seamless and painless and they got the job done within a week of the HOA approval. I especially like the front door that his dad painted (it's a family affair) because I used harsh cleaning chemicals on it in error during COVID. It looks better than when we moved in as the original owners. Thank you, Jeff! Even my dog likes them. They are dog people. He also took that ugly TV Dish thing to the dump for me.

While on my walk through Downtown Auburn, I had to stop inside Serendipity! The name is too catchy…read moreand the ramdom cute gift items inside were screaming at me to come in and take a look around! There were others inside looking around this gift shop. The shop keeper was at the register, maybe doing some paperwork. She was occupied and very quiet. Her store was very cute and I spent a lot of time looking at the earrings. I was trying to see if there was something I couldn't live without. I believe they were sterling silver and all around $18 each. There were bars of soap for men and women, earrings, candles... the kitchen towels with the clever sayings had me cracking up. I had to get one! After looking around the shop, I got to say hello and speak with the shop keeper. She was very sweet and pleasant. I liked that I was able to do a mobile payment. It made checking out fast & easy! On the weekends or during Downtown events, parking can be nearly impossible, but there is a small parking lot around the corner. I could easily spend the day out here going inside of every shop and picking at least one place to eat. There is plenty of popular eateries to choose from... that will leave you making the difficult decision of trying to pick where to eat!
