It's not the biggest Farmer's Market, but you'll find a decent amount of quality vendors, selling a variety of food, flowers, honey, produce and bread and bakery items. We stopped by around 11:30am and it wasn't too crowded. We tried Green Bites whose menu included Rice Wraps, Onigiri, and Japanese Curry. You can get one onigiri for $6 or 2 for $10. We also tried the Pupusas at Delmy's Pupusas, most varieties selling for $5 each. We always make sure we stop by Sour Suzie for Sourdough bread, which is situated about a block outside the Farmer's Market. All the vendors were friendly and we noticed after visiting a couple of times that you may see a new vendor or two. Looking forward to trying more!

It has slices of delicious marinated slices of beef, you can add slices of avocado, with lettuce, tomatoes, onions off course all inside the sandwich bread bun and don't forget to ask for the "jugito del asado" This sure is excellent. I have had a great experience in this place. It is very fresh inside and especially clean. The lady owner of this place is very friendly and after 1:00pm she prepares daily a lunch special, you can call in, or if you are in the neighborhood you can stop by and ask what she has for lunch special. On the sign outside i do not believe it reads "Antigua Latino Deli" as it appears in the phone…read morebook, but rather as "Antigua Natural Juices" no doubt trying to pull in patrons who wouldn't know what they make should it read deli (no pastrami on the menu) or had it read Jugo Naturales, which is what they sell besides very basic sandwiches and snacks. On one of my walks to the post office in Los Feliz i passed this little juice and antojitos spot and had to pop in. There is really only a small brightly tiled counter on the wall by the entrance that has maybe two stools to sit and enjoy one's sandwich and/or beverage; the place is basically a grab and go. I have never had their food but keep returning for their freshly made juice. It is not like Jamba Juice or any of those typical californian juice places that throw in all types of "herbal infusions" or "booster powders." You are not going to get a scoop of some sort of sorbet or heaping spoons of sugar. When the sign says "Natural Juices" it is not false advertising. The glass counter reveals rows and rows and shelves upon shelves of fresh fruit. You can smell the fruit when you walk in, the scent of mangoes, strawberries, citrus and the like, makes the mouth water and the eyes grow big while reading the menu. sometimes a special fruit will take center stage because it is in season. Last time i was there there were papayas that were huge for average U.S. grocery standards. There were also piles of mangoes. The older lady behind the counter who always recommends the freshest of the produce to me gins and hands me a slice of one of the mangoes. "This is a Peruvian Mango!," she beams, "Very delicious. What do you think?" It was very delicious so i opt for my usual the Sunrise, a combo of fresh oranges and today the Peruvian mango, the more complex cousin to wherever the common mango comes from. Other juices may seem weird to those who have only imbibed fresh squeezed juices at the Jamba Juices. Carrot may not be too uncommon, but there is also Celery, and my favorite Beet! Tangent: I first encountered beet juice in Nica, at a place that reminds me now very much so of this place. In Nica, on a side street from the beach in San Juan del Sur there was a jugos naturales named (now rather coincidentally to me) "Soda Los Angeles". We frequented this little shop often, whenever we were in San Juan, after clinic etc. One day on the dry-erase board there was an option we hadn't seen before: Remolacha. Speaking to the daughter of the owner who was waiting on us, we tried to figure out what kind of juice this was. She tried explaining it but the important words i didn't know how to translate. So we started basically playing twenty questions: it was blood red, she told me. It comes from the earth. It is hard. It is sweet. etc. etc .etc. So i got some and tried it. Very sweet, irony, and strong. She laughed and put it in a bigger glass for me and mixed it with some orange juice. Later when i had my spanish/english dictionary handy i realized that remolacha is the word for beet. What is the point of this tangent? I guess it is to say that i was thrilled that Antigua has jugo de remolacha, and that it brought back some pleasant memories. Sadly Soda Los Angeles in San Juan del Sur is gone. One day it was just closed, forever. Now i have a favorite juice place that is way closer. The fruit is so ripe and fresh that they need not add any sugar to it yet the juice is always as sweet as candy. If you want nice people making you real juice without all of the filler, then i highly recommend this place. If you need your creatine and ginseng and vanilla ice cream mango float then try the juice bar at the Hustler shop on Sunset and then spend an hour on the elliptical machine at 24 hour fitness to work of the extra calories. Not that i go here for health reason, Antigua Latino Deli just makes a great cup of juice.
