    Farm Fresh inside

If you've been to the Rodeo plaza in ktown, located just across the way from ktown plaza, you've probably seen the actual mall then across that parking lot there's a strip of stores including jtown, bcd tofu house and etc. This little gem of a place is just right next to jtown and I'm so excited about this find. They have fresh, sweet Korean fruits (Korean pear, melon etc) and a lot of dried goods too. The lady at the store let me try a couple pieces of dried dates for free and I'm obsessed, it's the perfect crunchy snack, and of course I bought a few bags. I can't explain all the stuff they have there, you just gotta stop by and try it out.

Organic strawberries, organic blueberries, and shine muskat grapes!

I've been frequenting this shop and have become a regular over the last 2 years. I was looking for a good organic fruit/produce store when my twins were born. I love the fruits here, as well as their pasture raised cage free eggs. They also have stalls at Larchmont and Brentwood farmer's markets, but it's slightly cheaper at the store. They're famous for their organic apples. We love that they're not waxed and come in fresh from their farms. I go at least 2-3 times a week to make sure the kids get their fresh stuff!

Farm Fresh Eggs.. So beautiful and delicious.

Freshest, tastiest and consistently good every time we go. Have been going for our family for years, but it is on the pricier end

The store is often crowded, but it is very organized and the staff is friendly. The ambiance is vibrant and they have a great selection of produce & snacks. Their hot bar is convenient and very delicious. Their sushi selection is also excellent and the sushi is very fresh! I always make sure I get myself a smoothie as well. Their drinks are simply delicious and very refreshing. My favorite is the iconic Hailey Bieber smoothie!

Seconds after I paid, they simply handed me one that had already been sitting there instead of making it fresh. For a premium smoothie that costs this much, that's incredibly disappointing and shocking. The worst part? I found pieces of plastic in my smoothie.. and I almost shared it with a toddler!! This is a serious food safety issue that could have caused someone to choke or be injured. Management told me they are "investigating" the incident, but they're only willing to process my refund if I come back into the store. After finding plastic in my drink, why would I want to return? To make matters worse, they offered me a $25 gift card saying it's a gesture of goodwill lol. Considering the seriousness of finding plastic in food and the prices Erewhon charges, that felt more like a slap in the face than a sincere attempt to make things right. For a company that markets itself as the gold standard of health and quality, I expected far better customer service and much stronger accountability. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in Erewhon. I won't be coming back, and I hope they take food safety much more seriously before someone else gets hurt. Also, for an establishment that charges premium prices and prides itself on quality, mass-producing smoothies in large batches is completely unacceptable!

Now I am finding out for myself that it is just as any other market where in this economy, it benefits for me to research online for sales and weekly ads. One of things I realized is that I was sleeping on their coffee bar! This Whole Foods is surrounded by many restaurants, trending eateries and coffee shops that it is easy to overlook what Whole Foods can offer. The staff working at the coffee and juice bar are amazing! My current favorite is the berry chantilly iced latte. The honey latte and the brown sugar cookie latte are both very good but the berry chantilly is my current favorite. It is strong, not-too-sweet and well made for $5 and that is for a large. You can also have alternative milk like almond or oat at no extra charge! The deli and bakery are also great but I have been getting their pizza slices for an inexpensive lunch. Where nearby pizza spots are selling their slices for $7-$8 a slice (which I get why it is priced that way), Whole Foods has them at the self serve area for one slice at $4.50 or 2 for $8. I work near the area and though I love that I am in foodie heaven, sometimes I just need something a bit more simple and reasonably priced. Whole Foods pizza can be artisanal just as any other pizzerias. This week, they had elote pizza and it reminds me of the viral elote pizza that was invented by Rose City Pizza. It is pretty good and definitely closer to me than Covina.
