I love the avenue in murfreesboro. I love the outdoor mall scenery in general. I love that they keep the grounds, landscaping very nice and clean. Although, Burlington really needed a power wash on the outside of their store. Which thats a store I would never step food in ever again, but are they consider part of the avenue? Anyways, I love that they decorate the entire mall with christmas decorations. Definitely picture worthy. The avenue is also nice to walk around whenever it's nice outside. Overall nice shopping center, it was clean with ample parking. Unfortunately, we had two disappointing experiences, one at the Apricot Lane Boutique and the other at Victoria's Secret. Both stores need to upgrade their customer service. At the Apricot Lane we weren't greeting as we walked in, nor did they ask if we needed any assistance. After browsing for about 10-15 minutes we left. At their price point they should realize that they are selling not just clothing, but the experience of shopping in their store. Poorly done, maybe it's because we are from Hawai'i and don't look like them. Oh well, never going there again and won't recommend to anyone. As far as VS store is concerned I've already left a separate review for them. Nevertheless, the shopping center in a whole was great. read more

Murfreesboro is like a mystical faraway land for this city slicker but when Yelp sponsored the Brewsboro Festival located in The Avenue, I made my way out to the land of the 'burbs. I was not completely at ease when we rolled up on this massive outdoor shopping center filled with mall rat favorites Victoria' Secret, Great American Cookie Company, Coldwater Creek, Old Navy, and of course Stride Rite... am I being slightly snarky? Maybe. Don't get me wrong the grounds are very well maintained and the layout is fantastic for those seeking a day full of shopping but I just personally don't get too pumped about malls the way I used to. I limit my visits to the Mall of Green Hills to support local retailers as much as I can. The pesky Nordstorms sure does make it tough though. With that being said, The Avenue's appears to be frequently updated with special promotions (25% off a complete purchase is being offered as we speak) and events (Free pizza celebration at Mufreesboro Toy Company tomorrow) which is a refreshing feature to offer their customers! Will I likely make a special drive out to The Avenue to shop? Not likely. However, if you live in Murfreesboro or nearby... this is a solid option for an assortment of shopping needs. read more

I love that you can find everything and anything in this cram packed area. You can stop in stores like Jared's, best buy, Victoria Secret, yankee Candles, Palamatoo moon Barnes & Noble (just to name a few) and still have a few places to decide from to eat. It goes beyond a shopping center or mall vibe. Things aren't laid out straight but up and down different little avenues for you to explore. Mall hours are 10am-9pm. Went to pick up some cards this evening at Amy's Hallmark only to find they started closing early at 7pm. Wasted 50 minutes drive time. This has happened before with Express and Talbots. Management needs to make sure that the stores stay open for the regular mall hours. That's what most people base things on before they go there. Either that or change the mall hours. I thought we were coming out of the pandemic so hours should be returning to normal. It's become a free for all. Open and close when you want. read more

The Avenue Murfreesboro recently opened, and is an exciting addition to the Murfreesboro area. It could really be called an "outdoor shopping mall" following the trend to build more such shopping areas. In that it offers most of the stores that a mall would offer. The Avenue Murfreesboro is from a chain of such outdoor malls actually called The Avenue. It offers shopping options that are rare in Tennessee, and only available in Memphis or Nashville. The first that excited me were the stores that are not typically found in Tennessee. The Avenue offers the second Ulta, and third Origins to open in Tennessee, the second Crabtree & Evelyn, and other stores. Many of the stores that were at Stones River Mall are moving over to The Avenue as well such as Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works. There is also first Barnes & Noble "Superstore" to open in the Nashville area. The Avenue will offer the first Quicksilver Boardriders store according to the store directory. World Market will also be opening there. There is a wide range of stores that will be opening. The Avenue is beautifully designed, and one feels a true sense of shopping in a town rather than cooped up in a mall. The stores are spaced just enough to provide ample parking right in front, and those who do not enjoy walking through a long mall will enjoy that. I really enjoyed just walking down the sidewalks. Overall the Avenue Murfreesboro brings more of the shopping options that were not previously available only a few years ago in Tennessee. I am very happy to have a place closer to my home to shop at, and that is easily accessible. read more

It's an outdoor mall, of the style whose popularity is currently soaring in suburbia. Large anchor stores and then strips of typical mall stores, and a smattering of outlets are arranged around various parking lots and boulevards. See The Summit, outside Louisville, KY or Providence in Mt. Juliet, TN for a few examples. It's an efficient means for automobiles to traverse the mall and see what's offered before attempting to park nearby and go inside. Traffic is up, which is good for the mall stores, not so great for you and I. Avoid like the plague at Christmas time. That said, the place is relatively convenient and still pretty new, so it's very clean. Some spaces aren't fully rented, implying perhaps it was a bit ambitious of the developers to go quite so... big, but I'm sure in time it will fill up. read more

Love going to The Avenue with my granddaughter. There's always something new happening. This week we spent time at Pigtails and Crewcuts, wonderful place for children. It's easy to find that special store with plenty of free parking. Love World Market and Kirklands for that just right home decor. When we get hungry we just head over to one of the great restaurants for a great snack or meal. Then back out for another adventure. read more

Love going to the Avenue in Murfreesboro because it has all the major brands my family uses! Its laid out beautifully and quiet different than other "malls". I can hit Old Navy, Oshkosh, Carters, Children's Place and Justice for my kiddos, all in a row. Then the Victoria Secret and Bath and Body works for me. Stop by and grab some ice cream or cookies and my hubby can look in the hat shop. Also, Massage Envy is right there. Dick's and Best Buy, Chili's and Which Which! Its all right there. There is always a store running a great sale so go Saturday and make a day of it! I just wish there was a movie theater there too! My wife and I recently moved to Murfreesboro, TN from the state of CA where we both grew up. Now please note that we're quite glad that we made this move, as we did move here for a 'better life'. We were both done with the congestion and 'concrete city'. The smog sickened us. We did, however, love the outdoor living malls that were there. When we found out that The Avenue was soon to be built we were enthused. We love the stores and the restaurants. The issue that we both quickly found out, though, is that there really are no entertainment venues. Now we are not looking for 'clubs'. However, we were hoping that The Avenue would bring more things to do than simply shop and eat. We are accustomed to an outdoor mall having a nice movie theater to a Dave and Busters. The current theater in Murfreesboro at the Carmike is certainly 'subpar' and we don't want to always feel like we need to make the 30+ min drive to Nashville for 'city' entertainment. We also strongly beleive that the stores, which are certainly not getting the business that they all first projected, would be better off with actual entertainment venues. When people go to a movie or to some venue then they end up doing spontaneous shopping. My wife and I are very disappointed with the overall offerings of The Avenue thus far.
