I reached out and immediately was contacted by three different Ramsey-approved realtors, including Tyler Wilson from the Skender Newton Group. With our schedules only allowing for a one weekend buying trip, there was no time to waste in making sure we had someone who fully understood our needs and preferences. While all of the realtors were accommodating, friendly, and competent, I ultimately decided to go with Tyler because he was the only one who asked me specific questions and really sought to understand what it was WE were looking for, rather than trying to sell me on his credentials. Tyler was just enough of everything for us -- whether it be the type of contact, the flow of communication/info, or the pleasantries, he expertly mirrored what we prefer -- again, not making it about himself but truly about us. This made the buying experience enjoyable, stress-free, and even fun! Tyler lined up all eight houses we wanted to see for a full day of viewings and even timed them all to the best route! A real local, he knew the areas very well. He would drive us through nearby neighborhoods rather than the main route so we could get a feel for the vibe and he even added a house to our list that we hadn't asked for because he knew we would want to see the area. No one mentioned in all the communications that we had with each other before I came to Tennessee from North Carolina that there was no air conditioning units in the home. When I came on June 30th to collect my keys I walked into a house that no one in the property management office would have stayed in themselves. Even their lady that was here said they should have put in a work order as soon as my lease was signed so it could have been done before move in. I had to pay for a another night in a hotel room along with ubering fees back and forth because I don't drive. They agreed to refund fees for the move in from June 30th but then stated that they were not going to reimburse me for my hotel room because what they needed to fix was done in a timely manner. I don't know where these people are from but check out time from hotels is normally 11:00 a.m.. I got lucky that the management was understanding and gave me a late check out to begin with because my moving inspection was supposed to be at 2:00 p.m. on the June 30th. I did not receive a message from their person here in Chattanooga that they had finished what they were supposed to do here in the house on June 30th until 6:46 p.m.. So no the work was not done in a timely manner for me to not have to pay for another night at a hotel I was supposed to have this matter resolved on Tuesday, July 28 before the end of business but of course I never received that phone call. I received the text message today and I'm still waiting on a phone call back that probably won't come either. I will update this review in a couple of days. I'm hoping this gets better. If everything I'm reading up here is true this is not going to be a pleasant experience but I'm not going to let them take advantage of me either!

Her exact words were "there is an animal smell because the owner lets the animals in and out of the house." Actually, the house reeked so bad from animal urine it stung the eyes and nose. She added to the sales contract, "inspection within 10 days", fairly standard in a contract, but failed to let us know that the seller was going to be out of town for nearly a week and wouldn't allow inspections or even showings while they were out of town. Then after our inspection (on day 5 of the days we could actually access the property, and before we even had the formal paid inspection), when we decided that the overwhelming smell was not something we could live with (and getting feedback from house inspectors that we'd probably have to replace the wooden floor and the sub floor), she tells the sellers and works with them to keep 50% of the earnest deposit. Seriously, if you are buying a house that she has listed, be very careful. And if you are wanting to list a house try and find someone who has more ethics and morals. People like her are what give real estate agents a bad name.
