I found my real estate agent (Dorothy Cornel) online while I was doing my research online. Dorothy is a fantastic agent, and she is VERY good at what she does. I would have not found my home/office if it wasn't for Dorothy. She is very responsive and is always punctual. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty when it was time for us to work together. She and her husband picked me and my co-worker up from and to the airport with their fancy poshy car and drove us to look at all the houses. Furthermore, Dorothy and her husband treated me and my co-worker like a VIP guests, we felt super special! She was extremely patient and knowledgeable. Dorothy has given me so many great advice and insights into all the properties I looked at. Her expertise and professionalism can only be described in one word, "IMPECCABLE!" I have worked with over 15 real estate agents in my entire life in different cities, provinces and countries; and I have never met ANY agent like Dorothy, she is very trustworthy and honest. I love her vibe and personality. I found that over 90% of real estate agents today are very flakey and they are NOT very responsive, or they have become very jaded. So many agents these days are so unprofessional with their work ethic and conduct. Some are shady while others are very sleazy. But with Dorothy, she was my guardian angel, she worked hard to protect my best interests; she prevented and made sure that NO Developers/Builders or the Seller's agent was going to pull some dirty, illegal tricks under the carpet on me. I am so grateful that Dorothy was looking out for me from the start until the end. Many real estate agents don't care about their clients' needs but with Dorothy, she made sure I got what I wanted at the end of the day no what it takes. I like an agent with a strong grit, ambition, driven and always aim high. Luckily, I had Dorothy right at by my side throughout the whole process and she has ALL those great qualities that I am looking for as a real estate agent. She is definitely in a league of her own when it comes to experience, service and producing excellent results! I believe my standards are extremely high and Dorothy was going toe-to-toe with me in that department! Overall, I am really impressed with her strong work ethics and moral compass. Just noticed that only members of this office (and the owner - filtered out ) have left "reviews" and five star ratings. I will take this opportunity to leave feedback as a customer. I had a terrible experience with a Glen Ramkissoon from this office. At first he was very eager, ambitious and persistent to get my listing. Once he got the listing and showed me my next purchase, he changed considerably. I was starting to notice that he was very forgetful and absent minded. He said that if he got my listing, he would hold an open house EVERY weekend. First weekend, nothing. I mentioned it during the second week, and he held an open house that weekend. Third week, nothing. When I asked him why he never showed up, he said it was mother's day and he wanted to spend the day with his family. He admitted that he should have told me he wasn't showing up, and that nobody is interested in looking at properties on mother's day anyway. Before getting my listing, he also provided me with a list of where my place will be advertised. Kijiji, newspapers, facebook, mls, etc... I kept asking him for a link to my listing on kijiji but he never gave it to me. What he referred to as a Facebook advertisement was actually a post on his wall. I asked him to show me the newspapers with my listing and he didn't do that either. It wasn't until I became upset about his not showing up for an open house (the second time) that he seemed to take my requests seriously. It was then that I asked him for a list of all work he has done to assist in the sale of my home, and provide me with links and newspapers with my listing. He brought me three papers, one of which didn't even have my listing advertised. Still no link to the kijiji listing. After my first showing, I received some negative feedback about my renos. He said that he had some construction experience and offered to repair the deficiencies. I accepted and offered to pay for his labour; he insisted it wasn't necessary and all I had to pay for were materials. Regardless, I bought him a 100.00 gift card as a token of my gratitude. After a couple days of renos, he told me that he could not stay any longer (on a Friday morning) as it was his wedding anniversary, and there were a couple things he did not complete. I was disappointed as I work seven days a week and felt like he left me hanging. Later he called back and said that his wife was alright with him coming in the next morning to finish everything off. That night, after he said all renos were complete, I went home to discover a complete disaster. there was garbage everywhere and a thick coat of whte dust on everything. He removed the bathroom door moulding (to tile the floor) by ripping it in half. He then fitted the ripped pieces together and hammered several nails into the molding to hold it in place. He didn't even try to cover this with paint or putty, and there was a hole in the wall next to the moulding. The bathroom baseboards were full of nail holes. Throughout the house, every patch on the walls were visible, as he only applied one coat of paint. When I flushed the toilet, water started to flow out from underneath. He removed the toilet in order to tile the floor and didn't change the one-time-use wax ring. I texted him asking what happened as I was too upset to talk. He replied with "I am sorry you aren't satisfied". That just added insult to injury as I had to stay up late to paint and clean in preparation of the open house the next day which he didn't show up for. He asked if I would let him repair the issues, and I agreed. A few weeks later I was notified that my toilet, which he "fixed" was leaking into the suite below. That bathroom ceiling had to be replaced and room had to be repainted, leaving me with a bill for 1800. He asked if I could go through my insurance; I refused and told him he needs to be responsible for his actions and pay this immediately. He went around me, called my condo company, and found out that the bill didn't have to be paid until the day before the new owner takes posession of my home. He gave me 3 dates of when he would pay the bill; had an excuse every time as to why he didn't pay it. Eventually he paid it. He told me I would get a discount if he sold my place, and another if he showed me my next purchase. When I asked for this in writing, he left me a nasty voice mail saying that he was concerned that I didn't trust him. He said he has done so much for me, not because he had to, but because he wanted to. My mortgage broker asked me if he was a new realtor as he was not familiar with a lot of things she was talking about, ie: bridge financing He told the purchasing realtor that they had until 9pm one evening to lift their conditions thinking it was the closing date, but it was actually 2 days earlier. "Don't they have until the 25th?" "Isn't today the 25th?" "No, it's the 23rd" I really felt he was out to make a quick buck with minimal effort and his mind was constantly elsewhere read more

We had the unfortunate experience of working with a realtor from this office when buying a house. Kyla Knight has been nothing but vague and insincere throughout the whole process and I would caution anyone using her as a realtor or working with realtors from this office. We purchased our house from Kyla in January and not only did the sellers leave a massive fish tank in our basement (that was in writing to be removed) but Kyla consistently avoided our realtor's attempts to contact her and was inconsistent in her responses. Our realtor and my husband eventually had to disassemble the tank ourselves to get it removed after waiting more than a month for Kyla to get in touch. While we understand that it was the seller's responsibility to remove all their possessions (which we are still discovering 6 months later), Kyla has been unwilling to work with them and us to get our issues resolved. She has avoided responsibility and has not shown any integrity in this process. Kyla also left her sign in front of our house for several weeks as she was willing to get the free publicity but not willing to take any responsibility. When we discovered a leak in our basement (that was not disclosed) we were left with the bill. She avoided our calls and our realtors attempt to get in contact with her so that we could civilly resolve this issue with the seller. She has promised gift cards as an apology but we've yet to received any communication from her. We also learned early on to conduct correspondence in writing because otherwise the story changed. This industry is buyer beware, but also beware of this realtor. It's obvious why the only positive reviews on this page are from employees. read more

If anyone in the Edmonton area is thinking about purchasing/selling a home, do NOT even considering using this establishment. Not only are the owner and the individuals extremely unreliable and disrespectful, but they possess absolutely no business etiquette. A friend of mine recently had the displeasure of using Matt Ferguson as their realtor (see her review below) who actually LIVED in the home he was selling them -- not only did he leave the house in a complete state of disarray, but he had the audacity to keep the keys of the home following the possession date. I don't think anything else screams "scumbag" quite like the way this "man" handled himself. The only positive reviews of this agency are by the useless employees themselves from this disheveled organization. I will be reporting this agency to the BBB immediately to notify them of the complete lack of professionalism and total disregard for any client they serve. I will be an advocate for any Edmonton resident NEVER to do business with this agency and will not rest until the owner is fired (without severance) and Matt Ferguson is left jobless and homeless. Or if true karma serves Mr. Ferguson, perhaps the next home he purchases will be littered with rodents, insects and falls apart as he sleeps. To the owner, employees and anyone else involved in their organization -- you should be deeply ashamed of yourselves and find another profession. But something that doesn't involve working directly with people. Perhaps a position where human contact is limited and you have a zero percent chance of ruining someones life with the piss poor effort you exhibit on a daily basis. read more
