He was very upfront and honest in his verbal report about the foundation issues of this property, and gave a general price range for potential repairs as well as how long the current structure would last. Although we didn't end up purchasing the property, we were thankful for Jonathan's explanations and level of expertise on this matter that potentially saved us hundreds of thousands down the road. He came and gave us a verbal report of his findings and said he would make a written report and send that to us. A month later he had not sent the report and when contacted he said he had been "busy on the personal side" and would get it out to me in the next week. By February 2026, I still had not received the report and reached out again by email with no response. I followed up again by phone call (left a voicemail) in April and also left a comment on the engineering company's website, but as of May 2026, I have still received no response. He failed to provide agreed-upon documentation and ignored repeated attempts at communication.

My husband and I purchased a century old Arts and Crafts fixer upper that needed repairs, but none…read moreof them structural (we thought). Turns out the previous owners had followed poor practices when finishing the basement, so when we demo'ed it to update and re-finish, we discovered that almost all of the wood support slats behind and in the walls were rotted, some of them half away. Some of the worst was the base of a wall next to the basement stairs - turns out the wall was load bearing, and its integrity had been seriously compromised by years of moisture eating away at the wood, and then further affected by our demolition. I called Great Lakes Builders on the advice of our structural engineer, and within 24 hours Martin, their project manager, was in my basement identifying assessing the wall. In addition to the rotted wood and cracks beginning to run up multiple walls (which I had observed), the ceiling beams supporting the 1st floor were actually separating from that wall - the only connection was the long nails. Because of the severity of the issue, GLB got us scheduled for the next Monday, and completed the work within just over 3 days. They were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous throughout, and explained every step of the process and why each step/action was important. Because of the obvious water incursion issues (which we are still in the process of addressing), they took especial care to make sure the new wall base was elevated and safe from any further water degradation. They also joined the rafters to the wall, got rid of an old door and replaced an unsound load bearing doorframe, and leveled out the stairs. We will absolutely be working with GLB again, and I highly encourage anyone in their service area who needs help with serious structural issues to give them a call.

I spoke with many home builders since they would be more familiar with structural issues and I was recommended Ted at Structural Dynamics. I called and Ted answered; provided me with a written detailed estimate. I had several questions after and he returned all my call right away. He did tell me they were a few weeks behind due to the weather and I was ok with that since I had to move the AC unit for them to do the job. During that time Ted answered all my calls and text me with possible start dates. Project started a few weeks after and they were very clean and organized. Ted texted me what days they would work and days they were not. They completed the project in less than a week. The house is back to normal and it looks like they were never there. I sold a property which required a survey because a fence was removed from the property. Moradi was…read morehired by my lawyer to provide the updated plat. The updated plat Moradi Multi Dimension produced included the fence that was removed. When I asked why the fence that was removed 2 years earlier was still on the plat, he insisted the fence existed when he did his survey and then Mr. Moradi accused me of removing the fence after he did his survey. But, because he is a good guy, will revise the drawing and send it to me. This man is a PhD? Have to wonder how many other incorrect drawings has this certified engineer stamped?
