Unfortunately, the Wings are not pulling it together…read morelike they have many years ago and the changes are not working year after year to get into the playoffs. Maybe this year, who knows? But, if you want to have a great night out with some rock and roll playing in the background to see professional men's lacrosse, it really is a good time. Fast paced, great fans, and a nice venue make this worth it. My wife says, "I like watching hot guys in shorts running around." I just want to see the Wings kick some ass.

Oh indoor lacrosse. Up until this year, I had been to a few games, but was reluctant to fully give…read moremy heart to another Philadelphia sport, only to have it trampled after a long, beautiful courtship when you die right before TRULY making me happy. However, like an abused girlfriend, when I found out my new work BFF had season tickets, I couldn't help but give in to your seductive pull and a season ticket holder I became. From the first second of the first home game, I was hooked. And win after win, I felt like somehow, YOU were different. Yeah you left me Valentine's Day weekend to see that other team in Colorado, but you came home, and you brought me another win, so we were good, right? A few weeks later you went away without me again, this time to Buffalo, and this time there was no W. But you apologized and gave me another one two weeks later at home. But after the All Star break things were different. There were fewer and fewer Wins for me, and you just didn't have the intensity or chemistry as earlier in the relationship...I mean, season. Last weekend you could have clinched playoffs at the last home game of the regular season, but no. And who did you lose to? New York. You really know how to break my heart. And now, here we are. One game left and without a win, there is pretty much zero chance of playoffs, even after starting out 6-0. And while I may say that without a win in Toronto, I'll walk away and never look back, we both know that it's probably not true. Because while the bad times are really bad, I think the Phillies and Eagles have probably already spread the word around town that the good times are so full of sheer Philadelphia Sports GREATNESS that I can't bring myself to leave.

The park is nicer and easier to get into. Parking is cheaper. The lines are shorter, the food is better, the people seem to have more fun. The emphasis at a Revs game seems to be on fun. Seeing a Senators game seems like a way for the team and the stadium to extract money out of customers and do the least they can in the way of providing a fun experience. Tonight the Revs lost but it was still a pleasure to attend the game, eat ballpark food, and watch the outstanding fireworks afterward.

Food options were nice and not crazy expensive. They had all these freebies - baseball caps, pens, pencils, lanyards, ponchos, even candy! I don't know, though, if this was a special thing or is every game. There was a lot to hold an 8-year- old's interest- fun games and silliness between innings. The Saturday fireworks were canceled due to lateness of the game (rain delay) and the noise ordinance in the city, but all were given the opportunity to come back for free to another game. I mean can you ask for anything more? My daughter, not a baseball fan, said "this was a lot better than I imagined."
